For the camera power or at the head unit? He tapped into the rear power port to power the camera and not the reverse light circuit, and there are a couple options for the head unit. Everything from the indicator wire coming from the shift lever, to an “integrator” box like the PAC RP4.2 -TY-11 that integrates a head unit into the existing JBL amplifier, has a programmable steering wheel control function, and can connect to the OBD2 port to get reverse, speed sensing, and other information to the head unit.
Sometimes you want your camera powered whenever ACC power is on, not just when the car is in reverse. This let's you use the camera at any time which can be helpful for things like checking your hitch while towing.
@@CorneliusVeee I couldn’t do it man my fingers are too big I was afraid I’d grab them too tight and break em in my fingers I can’t get a grip on them lol kudos to you though for sure
My dome lights had the round “festoon” lights. I used a fuse puller designed for the glass tube type fuses, then the next day saw a video where a guy just pulled the longer of the two connection tabs away from the bulb and it just fell out. 🤦♂️
@@Raptor4fx the led's don't suck. It's the reflectors on these stock headlamps that suck. The projectors will make these bulbs shine like a motha and have a defined beam pattern.
Can you link where u got all the stuff from?
Are you going to buff the headlight covers? I would think you'd get a bit better lighting if you did.
i want apply carplay but i don’t want to put in a new backup camera or a radio if only i can just get a cord or something to save money
What kind of LED bulbs are those? Did you also replace the fog lights with LEDs? Heard there is issues and you might need a resister
How come you didn’t run the wire through the rubber grommet in the back?
Great work
Where do I put the cord at for the car play
What wire did you tap into on the reverse light
My guess is he sliced the wire
I’d like to know too.

Can you put part list in description
Is the sequoia have any lift or leveling kit? What size of the tires and wheels are you running in this video, any rub?
can you link the carplay unit and adapters?
do you have a parts list?
links to everything please
Hello, What head unit did you purchase?
Is it good?
Links ?
Why didn’t you just tap your camera power into your reverse light circuit? It’s like right there…

He actually said that he did tap into that reverse light.. which is why this is so confusing.
Omg where do you live ?
I wanna see you change those small dome light bulbs lol I know you did but I couldn’t get those fuckers out
They are a pain to get out!

I used a strip of duct tape that I pinched the 2 open ends around the bulb then pulled the light out from the “tab” the duct tape created.

The L is silent is solder. (S-odd-er)
Only in the USA. UK and Canada, sole-dur.
LED bulbs suck
you trippin they way better than halogens
@@adrianb7452 they are more intense than halogens, but have the same shitty beam pattern. My Sequoia got a projector retrofit 5 days after ownership
