Seconding this, just installed last night. Great and incredibly helpful vid, haven't played WoW in years, and having these explanations of Ascension systems helps a ton.
Somehow it got cut in editing, but for those that may inevitably ask, woodworking is only good for the callboard profession dailies currently. Still a good one to have for easy gold and marks later on.
tip save gear at different stages of lvling, 10/20/etc save chests to open at those lvls too, save gear sets for prestige xD rinse and repeat with chest to min max gear sets for lvling in prestige.
Raids will be a separate video, but dungeons will probably be in the “what to do at 60” or part 4-ish. Mythic+ is a thing of its own as well. Best advice is to find a friendly guild that does them regularly. Don’t worry about the difficulty level too much at the start.
So I play on A-52, I want to max out all professions for when WoTLK eventually drops. You can get all professions on 1 character. Since Wrath has power gains for each profession you might be able to make a completely bonkers off the wall op character. Alot of work to do but I think it will be worth it.
crafting in itself is NEVER useless, end game level recipes are almost always in demand to fill in gaps in gear until the final gear can be obtained.. jewel crafting especially will stay in demand at high levels... tailoring for bags is always needed, though i think 1 or 3 special bags my come from leather or engineering depending on xpac your playing.... blacksmithing is also needed if one is after legendary weapons such as Sulfuras... and of course like jewelcrafting, enchanting and alchemy tend to see high use at end game....
Ascension’s camera zoom slider in options should give you the maximum the game can do, which I think is 60. Otherwise it should be a command like /script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax",60)
Is there any high risk stuff for fishing / cooking? I checked the db, and cooking is fine, but couldn't find any fish recipes. Is fishing dead for the endgame?
Yeah most of the cooking materials are from killing beasts and doing the HR events/nests. The HR cooking recipes still need some basic components though, and sometimes that may include fish, but I don’t think it’s that many. TBC may be more, but would have to check. There’s plenty of callboard daily quests that require fish though, so wouldn’t say it’s dead/useless.

My Achievement window doesn't have the Card option at the bottom, I am on Area- 52 and lvl 23. Did I miss something?
