Yes, the first time I watched it I thought Zoë acting in this scene not so smooth,. But the 2nd time i understand that she is acting as someone who is forced to act to get information. Need to pay attention to details to really see how good this movie is.
2:55 possibly my favorite shot in the film. Penguin and Falcone never really looked threatening, but them being in the fog of their HQ made them seem so.
I adored the crime thriller angle that they went with for this movie, it felt so good seeing Batman finally doing detective work in a live action film. I hope they do a similar take with Hush in the sequel.

He plotted the plan, provided training for Elliot, hired Scarecrow to make psychological profiles to better manipulate the others, and had the knowledge of Bruce's secret. Elliot just provided the money and wore the costume for the final scene. Which is part of the reason I didn't mind that they had Riddler just completely take over the role of Hush in the animated adaption.
You can tell Battinson was so heartbroken thinking Selina having a deep connection to Falcone. Repeating the same ending clip here over and over and over felt so realisitic that an emo/angsty pesron would do.
Very underrated scene honestly. Love how this is a kind of experience for Bruce, putting him in the shoes of Selina, seeing what being a woman in this city, in this club is like. People looking at you like an object and seeing terrible things happening in this club, while you can't do a thing about it, with the corruption ect, like everyone seems like the worst in this place💀 Love it!
Honestly it never seemed to me for an instant like he was even remotely considering from that angle. This is a version of Batman that is hyper-focused on this mission to fight crime, and he's concerned about literally _nothing_ else. Even his own personal fortune, Alfred warns him, is evaporating from his neglect of his company, and he doesn't care at all. He's a recluse who comes out only at night to fight crime as the Batman. I'm sure he noticed the drug use in the club, and the corruption, with city councilmen and half the DA's office in there. But people coming onto Selina... I don't think it was even on his radar -- except insofar as it could be useful to him, to have her get close to the DA and wheedle information out of him.

And Matt Reeves himself the director and writer of this movie said that this was his idea when writing the scene, the idea that Batman would see what it's like to be a woman in this club and in the city.

I don't think that's something that would have been important to him. One thing in particular about this scene was the part when we get introduced to Carmine Falcone, we don't see much but the way he approaches to Selina gives you a creepy and menacing vibe. Especially when he says "Don't be a stranger", sounds gentle but at the same time deadly.
the shady and slightly blurred out visuals when she enters the bar add additional tension and suspense in the scene, making the viewer have an even greater feeling that these characters shouldn't be there. Awesome scene
With the eye contacts be like almost the only sci fi tech Pattinson gets in the movie, but it’s perfect the movie shows a very more detective side of Batman like it’s almost a live action adaptation of Batman the animated series. And let’s not help ourselves of how badass Pattinson’s voice as Batman sounds when he is having a serious conversation with Selina.
You'll notice some things are slightly higher tech and I think because he says Oct 31 is a Thursday means it's either 2024 or more likely set in 2030. Pretty cool detail!

I’ve had a similar thought, that would be an interesting way of tying the movies together, with him saying he’s the Night/Batman at the beginning of the second/third movies respectively, then if they make a fourth, at the climax or end of it he could say the full line “I am Vengeance, I am the Night, I am BATMAN!”

Maybe the scene instead could show up family walking through an allyway with a group of thugs pulling up with their leader saying something like "better hand over your things, the nights masking our every move here", then Batman comes in, beats down the thugs and says the thing, before making sure the family is safe and taking off. Again just an idea, they probably won't do it it just fun to think about.

Well, gotta say this version of Batman regained my hope in the world's greatest detective once again. This is equally my favorite Batman film since The Dark Knight. Kravitz and Battinson are both my favorite of their characters, on top of Colin Farrell's Oz Cobb. I've been playing Arkham Knight again because of this movie. "I am Vengeance. I am the Night. I am Batman!"

I hope Deathstroke is in one of the next Batman films. He’d be the perfect villain to test Batmans martial arts and fighting tactics. Plus it would be a great story where penguin and the other mafias of Gotham are sick of Batman and they all chip on to pay Deathstroke to kill Batman for them.

I hope Deathstroke is in one of the next Batman films. He’d be the perfect villain to test Batmans martial arts and fighting tactics. Plus it would be a great story where penguin and the other mafias of Gotham are sick of Batman and they all chip on to pay Deathstroke to kill Batman for them.
