I was pregnant in 02 same time as Laci, this case tore my heart out, as if I knew Laci. I felt like I knew her & desperately wanted to help her! 💔😢
My first child was born in November 2002. I watched this clutching my newborn. He's 18 and graduating high school this week. What a monster to do this.
IMO I don't think you have to personally know that person to feel bad for them. What happened to them could happen to anyone. Unfortunately there are just some really selfish heartless men who think only of themselves. Chris Watts and Scott Peterson were those kind of people.

The person or persons that threw Laci's body in the ocean had to be in human!! And that's just what Scott Peterson proved to be just like Chris Watts. Plain and simple as the nose on your face.

Scott P didn't dump her body in the bay. It just didn't happen. He had a 14' boat. He was seen at the marina by three people. Does it sound logical that a guy is going to kill his wife and take the chance of dumping her body in broad daylight. He needs to back the boat down the ramp and leave it there for anyone to see in broad daylight including anyone from the hundreds of people that live on their boats all year round.
There was no forensic evidence, eyewitnesses, video surveillance etc ever proving the States theory. We even have the SF Medical examiner (Boyd Stevens) explaining to the lead detective that it would be highly unlikely that 32 lbs would submerge the body. It would just float. He also said the currents would likely take the body out to sea. She was found nearly 4 months later. How do currents flowing Southbound at 4 knots
place either body where they were found. Conner was even found above the high tide line and water break. Full term, tape stuck to his ear and plastic wrap knotted around his neck that had to be cut off, not far from a plastic bag which was never tested.
Here is another point. As embarrassed as I am to admit this, I have an experience with marital infidelity. It took years for my wife to start trusting me again. YEARS. Twelve years later, there are still occasional issues. The story that he told Laci about Amber in "early December" and for her remaining weeks of her life she told no one, showed no signs at parties and get-togethers, "made peace with it", "got through it", and then let Scott go out of town on a Saturday night to spend it will Amber is nonsense beyond nonsense. It took 4-5 years before I could go have a beer with my buddies without a fight. Scott did inadvertently tell one truth about his personal life: "No one knew our marriage but us." As it would turn out, not even Laci.
Just to say - the love and commitment you’ve shown to your wife after your indiscretion is commendable. The fact that you stayed through all the pain and distrust and are where you are in your relationship today shows amazing strength of character, you should be proud. You’re both lucky to have each other. Lots of love 💛
3 "coincidences" that never made sense to me: He told his girlfriend that this was the first Christmas without his wife in early December (before Laci was missing),' Laci disappears in the timeline when he wasn't 'home': and finally, he was fishing where she was buried, two hour drive from their home. Guilty as sin.

What’s amazing to me is he was an expectant father with a baby son soon to be in his life. Why is he so casual about it? When new life is coming in a family there is great joy and anticipation. Where is his joy? Where is his anger at not being able to raise his son or watch him grow up, play sports, give his dad love and hugs? He’s GUILTY and needs to sack up and come clean about how he intentionally killed Lacy and Conner. He is a Narcissistic Man who didn’t want to grow up and accept the choices he made in his own life, so he took his wife and son’s instead.
Interesting post. Throughout all of his interviews, he never mentions his unborn child? Most fathers would be heartbroken, some men would also be celebrating their dead child's birthday in remembrance! Nothing from this monster!
From my perspective, all I can see is how much energy and effort he puts into his performance on TV or in court! It must take a lot of energy to keep that calm and unrattled!
At least Chris Watts owned up to annihilating his family! Scott Peterson and Chris Coleman(Joyce Meyers henchman), nothing. They just want out of prison!

Look at Laci’s dad breaking down on tv. In a purple jacket. He was begging “just her back”. Scott never even said anything or looked distraught. Sharon held it together enough to beg for daughter but we could all feel her anguish. Not scott
@Brookel, right? He didn't even report his wife missing. She was 8 months pregnant, and he wasn't concerned at all. Her stepdad reported her missing. I don't think he's innocent. If he was, he would have been concerned and searching for her and his unborn baby. He just didn't care.

I still believe did it.. the burgler had me pause too for about five seconds till I remembered there at 31 years old on my couch.. 5hat they were at the Pier and so was Scott every day watching them watch the water or whatever they were doing he got very nervous when they went and spent time down there.. he followed and waiting further up the way.. I'm sure a tiny part of him was thinking please don't find her here.. they'll never find her out in the ocean then just as we were all about to give up.. she and 5he baby came .. that was God that was justice coming from the sea.. and Scott ready to run.. was justice on land coming.. 8 wanted to believe he didn't do it most recently.. but he did.. he just did.. he carved her up somewhere in the marina and tossed her off in pieces.. I don't believe he's a Chris Watts either I don't think he loved Amber like Chris loved or rather lusted after Nikki I just think he definitely wanted her out of the way no baby.. and he'd have maybe married maybe.. amber frye. But someday if he did marry her since he had already been telling big lies.. that someday her have gotten tired of amber as well probably before he got married to her. And broke it off as he got older I don't think he wanted to be tire down to anything I thing he just wanted 5i play the field for years to come.. the robbers.. they were only that..robbers not murderers and men 2ho cut a pregnant woman up into pieces I think that took some privacy and someone close to her..

That was probably the ONE and ONLY time SCOTT ever bothered to wash his own clothes. I'm sure he would leave them for Laci to wash if he hadn't worn them while dumping her in the bay.
Interesting how Laci's phone and shoes are in the house, but she took their dog on a walk. What did she do, go barefoot? Robbers kidnap Laci right across the street from her house and they put her shoes and phone back, oh and they don't bother robbing her house?
Nothing makes sense when you exclude Scott from the murder. It's too bad this happened in CA. He would already be dead by lethal injection anywhere else.

That's because Laci made it back home from her walk. If you read the filings in the appeal you would know that Russell Graybill told MPD officers on 12-27-02 that the gate was open and McKenzie was not on the property at the time he delivered mail to the Peterson house between 10:35 and 10:50 on December 24. This was after Karen S found McKenzi in the street and after Scott left. This isn't rocket science.

The MPD claimed that Laci had gone missing before Karen Servas found McKenzi in the street at 10:18, put him back in the yard, and closed the gate. The Graybill information shows that Laci was not missing when Servas found McKenzi. She was very much alive, and took McKenzi for a walk sometime after Servas found him and before Graybill arrived to deliver the mail.
Graybill was the Petersons’ postman, and he delivered mail to the Peterson home between 10:35 and 10:50 a.m. on December 24, 2002. (Exhibit 2 [Declaration of Russell Graybill] at HCP-000005-06; Exhibit 19 [Russell Graybill’s Delivery Record].) Graybill knew the Petersons’ dog, McKenzi, and explained to police (and has recently declared) that McKenzi would bark at him no matter where on the property the dog happened to be. (Exhibit 3 [Statement of Russell Graybill] at HCP-000008.) Whether the dog was in the front or back yards, or even inside the house, McKenzi would bark at Graybill. (Exh. 2 at HCP-000005.)
He had no emotions for his wife and child. But water falls when it came to his side piece. He's right where he needs to be.....prison

The police determined that the home invasion/robbery did NOT happen on the day she disappeared.

the police insisted it happened two days later, when there just happened to be a reporter in the Peterson's yard across the street all day long
@@lisagoodin2959 not true. The burglary took place between 3 and 4 am on the 26th. There was no media. Ted Rowlands showed up at 5. He claims to have been in front of the Peterson and Medina homes when he in fact was hundreds of feet down the street at the entrance to the park as proven by his own video. The burglars saw his news truck there and described it to police when they returned at 630 am in a borrowed car to pick up the safe they had left behind.
Sophie I thought the family returned on the 26th morning? I’m pretty sure the detectives said the burglary (as well as the burglars) was changed to coincide with the story. Those detectives changed stuff up and altered reports and left stuff out ALOT. Very fishy stuff. Not saying Scott is innocent but that burglary likely happened when Laci was walking her dog.

The neighbor across the street was robbed the morning she went missing . A woman in the neighborhood says she remembers seeing laci and noticing a strange van across the street. If laci confronted them they could of taken her. Scott’s location was all over the news where he was fishing the kidnappers could of placed her there to frame him

Scott tells Amber he lost his wife a couple of weeks before she went missing, and this would be his first Christmas without her. And, by christmas, Laci really was gone!
On the day he said that to Amber he bought a secret boat no one knew about.
He also made five anchors, four of which were never recovered. The one that they did have, didn't match the cement in the driveway, which is where Scott said he'd used the rest of the missing cement, proven in court.
Laci didn't know about, nor had she ever been in the boat, yet, a couple of Lacis hairs were found, wound tightly in some pliers.
Agreed to take a lie detector test, but backed out after his father advised him not to.
Upon returning home, he immediately washed his clothes, ate, and took shower. After getting out of shower, instead of just calling Lacis cell phone one more time, he calls her mom and tells her Laci is missing.
He told, at least, three people he'd been playing golf, before finally sticking to the fishing story.
Speaking of fishing, Scott told the detectives that going fishing that morning had been a last minute decision. But, this was an obvious lie because he'd purchased a two-day fishing license dated for the 23rd & 24th, a few days before. Or, maybe he's just psychic, and predicted he'd be making that "last minute" decision!
When he took the detectives to his warehouse, he led them to believe the power was out, when the truth was, only his office in the warehouse had lighting, but the warehouse, itself, was only lit by a sky light during the day.
When he went to the station to answer questions, he was already refering to Laci in past tense. Saying, "Laci was pregnant." Shouldn't that be IS pregnant? It wasn't past her due date. He did the same thing in his interview with Diane Sawyer. By then, he'd been made aware he shouldn't do that, as he immediately corrects himself saying, "is amazing" after he'd said 'was'. A huge red flag for the detectives on the case.
On the night of Dec 24th, the day Laci went missing, Scott was already inquiring about grief counseling for Lacis family. Really??? She's not even yet gone a full 24hrs! I've never heard of anyone doing that over someone being missing for only a few hours! It just seems like Scott knew she wasn't coming home.
The next day, Scott called the detectives asking them if they'd be bringing in and using cadaver dogs. She hadn't even been gone a full 24hours, and, he is inquiring about cadaver dogs! Another huge red flag to the detectives working the case!
He sold Lacis car while still missing, before her body was found. And, inquired about selling their home before she was ever found too! He even wanted to sell it with all their furniture! Supposedly, he doesn't know if Laci is dead or alive, but has no problem selling her car and their home, with all their stuff in it?
He told lie after lie after lie. Of course the big, well known lie was when he called Amber from Lacis vigil. Right before, during, or after just doesn't matter, at all! His mistress should've been the last thing on his mind at any moment during that event.
It was well known he didn't want children, and wasn't thrilled about Laci being pregnate. Even telling his sister-in-law he was hoping for infertility. Laci telling her mom Scott wouldn't touch her belly to feel baby kicking.
He didn't participate in the searches for Laci, opting instead, to secretly go to the bay, park his car, and just watch the search that was going on in the bay.
Instead of showing grief about his wife being missing he, instead chose to flirt with his sisters baby sitter. Offering to make her drinks he called, "flirtinis". The baby sitter was so weirded out by Scott, she left!
In one of the recorded calls with Amber, Scott tells her that if the police find any evidence, he'd lose his freedom. Not a confession, but close enough!
When the due date, of the birth of his missing baby came around, he didn't have a gathering of friends & family to remember Laci & Conner. No, he didn't do anything at all to remember them. And, that would've been fine, if he chose to do nothing, no problem. But, he DID choose to do something. Since that day was also Ambers Bday, Scott chose to celebrate it, by hiding a bag of jewelry and a CD, etc for Amber to pick up. It seems it was Amber he wanted to remember & honor, not his missing wife & baby.
When a body of a baby washed ashore, and then a body of a woman who had been pregnant washed ashore shortly after, within just a couple of miles from where he says he was 'fishing', he never even called anyone about it to see if it was Laci.
About a week or so later, he was caught trying to flee with just about everything he owned, BUT his golf clubs and golf shoes. I add that he didn't have his clubs & shoes because Scott tried telling the cops that he was just going to play golf, not flee! However, the list of things he had with him is just as long, if not longer than my list here. What avid golfer goes to play golf with everything he owns BUT his clubs & shoes?
I could go on & on! I know there's more, but I'm drawing a blank on the rest. Can anyone else think of anything I've forgotten?
Okay so, one or two things on this list would be maybe a coincidence. three or four things --- sketchy, but okay.
All these things plus more --- he's guilty, guilty, guilty! And, I don't even have it all listed here.
-HE DID WANT CHILDREN
Couples they hung out with started having babies, Scott and Laci surprised friends when they reversed an earlier stance of not wanting children. Laci, who had had surgery years earlier and was left with one ovary, knew it would be difficult to conceive and methodically tracked her cycle. Richardson said she recalls Laci expressing frustration that Scott always seemed to be traveling at the wrong time, and it took some time before Laci was pregnant.
By early June, she got the good news. She enrolled in a prenatal yoga course and attended Lamaze classes with Scott.
They also got to work early on the baby's room. Consistent with the decorations for The Shack and with Scott's interest in fishing, the couple chose a nautical theme, even hanging a life preserver decoration that read: "Welcome Aboard."
Brent Rocha confirmed that Scott did indeed plan to have a family, and was quite emotional about becoming a father:
Mark Geragos: And also fair to say that she was very excited about the kid?
Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: Okay. And Scott was as well?
Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: When he talked about, when you talked to him, he would express the fact that he's, I mean he's a goal-oriented person; you heard that description earlier today. You would agreed with that, right?
Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: And is, one of his goals was to have a child and a family?
Brent Rocha: Yes.
Mark Geragos: Okay. And he told you that he was thinking about what kind of father he was going to be and he was crying and he said he was going to be great; isn't that what he told you?
Brent Rocha: That's what he was saying.
Sharon Rocha confirmed, on Larry King Live, that Laci told her Scott had changed his mind about having a baby shortly after they moved to Covena in October 2002:
ROCHA: “that's when she told me that Scott had said that he didn't think he wanted to have children. Of course that concerned me because we'd had conversations before in his presence or they had had conversations in my presence about having children.
KING: So then it shocked you?
ROCHA: It did. It really surprised me.
KING: But then she got pregnant.
ROCHA: Well, then she went on to say that not only did she -- that he didn't think he wanted to have children, she also said that he didn't want to. So, I was -- I was really upset about that knowing that he knew how she felt about having children.
And then it was about a month or so later, it was around Thanksgiving time she and I were in the kitchen preparing dinner when she told me that she's going to stop taking birth control pills in December. Well, that surprised me because it had only been a month ago that Scott didn't want to have children.

HARRIS: And they actually sell kids' camouflage outfits, is that right?

HARRIS: During that time you were looking at it, both you and Scott were going through the, the kids' section or the kids' outfits,
hunting and fishing, or whatever outfits, and the two of you were talking and laughing about how much you couldn't wait to buy your kids those kind of outfits, is that correct?
REED: I remember that clearly, that's correct.
HARRIS: Okay. Scott was very excited about that possibility, wasn't he?
REED: Yes.

Scott asked Brian about getting together with him to discuss the possibilities. He wanted to put it on the market right away, as a furnished home, and wanted it kept secret from the media. Scott said, 'no way is Laci coming back to that place.' Brian said since LE had already searched the house, he didn't know of any reason why Scott couldn't sell it, but he would check for him. They arranged to meet for lunch the next day to continue the conversation.

January 29th , Scott traded in their Land Rover for a 2002 Dodge Dakota pick up. We offer the following facts regarding the trade-in of Laci's car:
Scott had asked several times for his truck to be returned to him (see Detective Grogan's testimony). It was not going to happen so Scott needed to make other arrangements because he needed a truck for work.
The used, 2002 Dodge Dakota that Scott purchased on January 28th was worth less than the 2002 4x4 crew cab F150 the police had confiscated. The suggestion that Scott was uncaring and went to get a new truck while his wife was missing is unreasonable. Scott had a new truck before Laci went missing, but it was in police custody. Her car was traded in for the Dodge out of necessity

It so killed me in my heart and soul when Laci's father was crying for his daughters safe return. I even prayed. I remember thinking who in the world would kidnap this young beautiful and pregnant woman?? And on Christmas Eve!!! It wasn't something you could just bypass. Or forget about. It's one thing to disappear. But go missing. Everyone I knew, including me, were praying she'd be still found alive. But as the months went by the hope was dimming. Then on April 13th, 2003 it came on breaking news that what looked like a baby's body washed ashore in SF bay first then about a couple days later a woman's decomposed remains without the head washed ashore. We were devestated. Who could do such a thing to the young beautiful woman Laci and her unborn son. And worst of all. They washed ashore in same spot where her man Scott claimed he went fishing to try out his boat that nobody even knew about. I was so sad for her family. They already went through enough anguish. .
The SF Medical examiner (Boyd Stevens) explainined to the lead detective that it would be highly unlikely that 32 lbs would submerge the body. It would just float. He also said the currents would likely take the body out to sea. She was found nearly 4 months later. How do currents flowing Southbound at 4 knots
place either body where they were found. Conner was even found above the high tide line and water break. Full term, tape stuck to his ear and plastic wrap knotted around his neck that had to be cut off, not far from a plastic bag which was never tested.
Laci would still be alive today if police did their job and followed the actual evidence, tips and sightings instead of just pursuing the husband and ignoring crucial evidence.
He didn't dump her body in the bay. It just didn't happen. He had a 14' boat. He was seen at the marina by three people. Does it sound logical that a guy is going to kill his wife and take the chance of dumping her body in broad daylight. He needs to back the boat down the ramp and leave it there for anyone to see in broad daylight, including anyone from the hundreds of people that live on their boats all year round.

The problem with this case in my opinion is that Laci was due to have her baby in a few weeks when this happened and if Scott was happy with her and happy about becoming a father then why for one is he having an affair and two why is it that as soon as the baby was due then she is murdered? How did he dispose of the body? It was never in his truck. Not a single piece of evidence found. And there is no way for anyone to put a dead body in their vehicle, and drive, without leaving some sort of evidence.
So, he was intelligent enough to know how to transport her body to the water, without leaving evidence, but too ignorant to know that you don’t dump the body at the same location that you are using for an alibi. Scott was even intelligent enough, to think about putting the leash on his dog, and dumping it, so it could be found, but too ignorant to not dump his wife’s body at the location of his alibi. And I guess you believe he did what exactly, to get the mailman to say that the dog was not at the house that day. And got another neighbor to say she saw Laci on a walk that morning. What did Scott do, to get those people to lie for him?

I think that even if he was having an affair, that phone call alone speaks volumes. His pregnant wife is missing and he is calling his girlfriend--who does that? Someone who didn't care in the least. I have never heard him talk about Connor eitherr. Very strange.

Exactly, I never knew why so many people were mad at Amber? She didn’t know he was married still. When in fact, he told her this was going to be his first Christmas since he lost his wife. Now the only thing that always bothered me was, why didn’t Amber ask Scott what happened to his wife? He said he lost his wife. He made it up because he was confronted with Amber's friend and she knew he was married. She told him he has to tell Amber or she would. So he made that up. He used the excuse that his wife had passed, and he could then use his traveling work as an alibi as to why he'd be gone most of the time.
It's not uncommon for someone cheating to lie. Telling the truth to Amber wouldn't be a priority. The same women we know for a fact he lied to over and over again. He cheated and lied, but there is no evidence he killed anyone.

Scott could of had the dog the whole time, it doesn't mean Laci was walking MacKenzie. He staged it to look like something happened to her during her "walk" and that the dog was wandering the streets. How did the dog find it's exact way home? Most dogs would get lost. Also why would he go fishing on Christmas Eve..wasn't the Bay 90 miles away? He drove a long way for an hour of fishing.
That was telling Scott saying he lost his wife to amber but that wasn't what sold me in his guilt. The chilling fact that he wasn't a boater nor did he fish. When the detective asked him about fishing he couldn't tell him what fish he caught nor what loves he used and the detective found a long brown hair in a pair of pliers in his warehouse and cement for the 3 achors he made to weigh her down. To me that was the moment I knew he killed her.
I'm thinking that Laci was pregnant at the time of the burglary wjy would she try to stop it when she could have went home and called the police. In her condition she never would have been able or thought of fighting them off. Let's give her some credit where credit was or is due.

I was widowed at 32 years old. My husband died from combat 3 weeks after my only brother.
The pain was unbearable and I knew if I gave in to it I may lose all control. I was military too and I went immediately back to work and started rapid deployments. I did not want to think or feel.
Unbelievably my best friend died in my arms. He kept asking me if he was going to die.
That was seven years ago and I KNOW in my logical mind what happened but I don’t go there, ever,
If I allowed myself to feel that pain I wouldn’t come back from it.
Sometimes the grief is so excruciatingly, you just know that you can’t give in to the grief.

So many unanswered questions. When I was 8 months pregnant I wouldn't be walking dog around neighborhood. It's too close. Why did he leave her alone? Why did he tell girlfriend Laci was gone right before she disappeared. I think he was aware of the neighborhood burglaries. This would cast doubt. Those other pregnant women. Could Scott have anything to do with them?

I HAD to hold it together when my only brother died. I had to do it for my parents. Three weeks later my husband died (second combat tour Iraq) I was 32 years old, I had lost the two people I loved most and never showed ANY emotion.
It took YEARS for me to let those walls down.
I knew if I cried or grieved, I would not be able to pull myself back together.
I had absolutely no emotion, I understand why some people just can’t “grieve normally”.
