This was one of my fav years for boxing
I’m confused, both guys scored a knockdown, how did Concepcion win that round according to the commentator. I know Juanma won either way but shouldn’t that round be a draw
Commentator is an idiot who forgot about the 1st knockdown. That would have been scored 8/8.
I think the announcer was just not keeping track.
Should have been either 10-10.. 9-9.. or 10-9 for JuanMa since he dominated the majority of the round..but def not 10-8 for Conception
Definitely a 10-9 round for Lopez

Juanma was good till he fell in love with his power
He was also too slow, too flat-footed, and too unstable. I even think his chin wasan't the greatest either

Now that right hook was fast and a thing of beauty but that’s cause he was a natural right hander fighting lefty, would’ve been nice if he’d set it up more. I thought his biggest flaw was too emotional too,macho and wanted to be like Trinidad and get into stupid exchanges
Abby concepcion the 1st man to break juanma shields.
this happened a lot to ph boxers, they tried to emulate, train like pacquiao , where they have forgotten their own fighting abilities and limits, they underestimate their opponents by thinking they could do a manny pcquiao power punch, in this 1st round might be a good example but lacks skills.
word. You can see how he swivels side to side with his high guard. That’s what happens when you try to be someone else 🤷🏽♂️
Not sure where you guys got pacman from.. Juanma always had those flaws, if anything he was trying to be like Trinidad.
Really too bad that Juanma and Gamboa never got to fight. Took too long to build it up and then they both started losing.
Gamboa 100% would have stopped him

JuanMa was never the same after the two Salido fights and Gamboa was ruined by Rogers Mtagwa in what was a firefight
@@decidingpaper6324 No no, that was the same person. Mtagwa gave Juanma hell a few fights before the Salido fights. Mtagwa did fight Gamboa, but Gamboa destroyed him.

They used to hype that guy up like crazy until he got brutalized by salido
He was a 3 division champion he was a very good fighter
Salido is also one of the dirtiest fighters ever but he was a warrior and Juanma was never the same after

Great year in boxing for thst division but definitely no the round of the year..
Juanma had power, but one of the most trash defense I've witness. Super open for counters, and I called it from the beginning when my boys would hype him up. I nick named him "accident waiting to happen" 😂
This commentator should be sacked Concepcion WILL NOT win the first round 10-8. One official knock down each but the ref missed a knock down earlier in the round when the ropes kept up Concepcion. The round still should go to Lopez 10-9 as he dominated the round and they both had an one official knockdown.
