I feel kids before social media were more creative, and had more commonsense. Today, I feel kids are less skilled, and AI will replace them in the workplace far easier.
Rather than paying for our daughter not to be on social media, we took the approach of engaging with her on it and helping her develop skills to manage it. This is a bumpy road to take but you can’t avoid social for the rest of your life, it’s not going anywhere.
Because of the way the algorithm works and how it is more aggressive at keeping you on the platform. Plus it is the main one for quick fix dopamine hit and world wide reach.
I think in the future it will become the norm when smartphones will be very important not just for talking to someone on webcam but even to work on in a office or school.

While i agree social media is not great u cant only speak about the negatives and not the positives
Life doesn’t work that way , positives are good and negatives are bad. We need to cut out negatives and have more of the positives.
