I can't listen to this band anymore without crying. I've been listening to Night Tapes for over 6 months since I first found Selene, and I somehow missed the meaning behind the lyrics. I've listened to this song quite a few times, and maybe it's just because the music is such a vibe, but it wasn't until about a week ago that the lyrics really hit me. I realized most of the songs aren't about anyone else. To Be Free perfectly articulates the struggle I've dealt with my whole life. I can't turn off my thoughts. I've got hundreds of tabs in my head that won't close, and I feel like I can't do anything because of it. I've made countless mistakes that I just had to sit back and watch myself make. I want to be in control. Night Tapes used to be in my top 5 bands. That's no longer the case because they just secured the number 1 spot for me. I hope they become so much bigger and never lose sight of their vision. Thank you so much for doing what I wish I could do.

The idea of bringing up self-consciousness and how much our environment impacts it and making it into a catchy, classic, song was a brilliant idea Iris well done 🤘🏻
This is SO good in basically every way. Never heard of this band till it was recommended by UA-cam, and the thumbnail got me interested because it looked like it was possibly some old school inspired music. VERY glad I clicked it. Excellent music video and song.
