Oh my god, I cannot stop to look at Simone... She is too beautiful... She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen... And she is so friendly... And I love to hear her speaking german, because I am from Germany^^ I like you, Simone ^^
One of the most beautiful women in this world. I don't really liiiiiiiiiike Epica, but she's awesome. Great talent! I can't understand a damn word, but she sounds really simple, humble and friendly :)
lol, how proud she is that Arjen said she did a good interpretation of her song :) I think she lives in Germany, but don't know for how long already, btw. And Swiss accent is sexy!
very good command (actually fluent) of German - now she is fully fluent. You may hear sometimes that she has a dutch background, but everybody in the north hears my upper german accent .... as long as she does not want to become an actress ...
So true. Forgot about that. But the way they pronounce words, is almost the same way as in Dutch. The same tones, but German language has more cruelty in the voices then an Dutch man xD. Holland and Germany are both from the 'Germaanse Rijk'.
that's cus I'M form HOLLAND :P. btw, holland has the following language-studies: -english -german -spanish -french -portugese -greek -latin -russian -italian -etc. etc.
''Bus station'' is ''Busstation'' in german, ''Autobahn'' means ''freeway''. And ''school'' is ''Schule'' ;-) I am german and understand dutch, when I hear it. But without a context, I wouldnt understand all words, cause most of the vocabels are varied. In english there is just 'the'. In german there are 3 different articles, which are used for the masculin, feminin and neutrum form: der, die and das. I think that´s one of the main problems, why the german grammar ist pretty difficult
I cant judge how german sounds. No one can judge that of his first language i think. For me dutch sounds a bit rough and not as melodic as french for example. But as I said I cant compare it with german, cause I have no idea how german sounds really. I think a bit like russian.... The Intonation is the samen, cause Simone speaks nearly as a german would. Generally I think its interesting what other people think about germans and the german language and in how far i can confirm them.
yeah that is pretty brave isn't it? her mother tongue is Dutch and even her English is better than German probably. i can't understand a word but you can tell she's struggling a tiny bit. i love epica &simone! good stuff
Really, I do all that I can to learn german lang... I'm mexican, but I really find this language very beautiful...Wirklich! Und bin Ich so glücklich zu verstehen ein wenig :)
Marco Ruiz eso no se dice xD y Simone aquí habla alemán bastante mal, ahora lo habla mucho mejor. Mira, te corrijo la frase: " Ich bin so glücklich, dass ich ein bisschen verstehen kann. O Ich bin so glücklich, etwas/ein bisschen zu verstehen
You can see new pictures of Epica and a special of Simone Simons on UA-cam. Type the name: Wil van der Koelen on UA-cam and find them. See you soon. Wil van der Koelen
Okay, thanks :P But are you sure holland is one of the less countries where they speak different languages? You seem to handle both dutch and german AND english as well :P
Most ways, yes! But the dutch word for busstation = 'bus station'. While in German it's 'Autobahn'. A war is een 'oorlog' in Dutch, and a 'Krieg' in German. But the world = 'wereld' in Dutch and 'Welt' in German. And school = 'school' in Dutch and 'Schüle' in German. To be presize, alot of vocabularity and words are known in and Dutch and German. But also alot of vocab and words not. XD
That´s a main problem of all languages. If you read a lyric, poem or book which is not written in your mother tongue, it´s nearly impossible to understand what the author really meant.
haha yeah i got the idea, some german guy started trying to explain it to me XD about there being three types of nouns and such. i was like "uh huh uh huh *nodding while watching birds fly out window" . the grammar is diff, but the vocab is similar , right ? RIGHT ?? XD
...ich bin etwas verwirt, wo kommt die denn her? ich dachte die war doch deutsche, ihr deutsch ist doch prima i'm confused, where does she come from? i thought she was a german...her german is really good
Nein mein freund. Es ist anders. Ich sprichen deutsch und niederlandisch und ich bin auf die niederlanden. To say it shortly, the dutch can speak both dutch as german. And the german has a hard time to speak dutch. SO! btw, holland is 1 of the less countries where they can speak different languages.
"Keinen Grund zu..äh...to change" :D. Ihr Deutsch ist total gut :). Okay ein paar Fehlerchen, aber HEY :D, wen juckts? :D... Und es heißt "Keinen Grund zu wechseln", meine Süße *_* ♥

''Bus station'' is ''Busstation'' in german, ''Autobahn'' means ''freeway''. And ''school'' is ''Schule'' ;-)

Imagine if Simone left Epica to spend more time with her family
I cant judge how german sounds. No one can judge that of his first language i think.

der interviewer sieht aus wie ein priester
She's from The Netherlands but she moved to Germany.
yeah that is pretty brave isn't it? her mother tongue is Dutch and even her English is better than German probably. i can't understand a word but you can tell she's struggling a tiny bit. i love epica &simone! good stuff

*Busstation = Bushaltestelle, Not Autobahn.

Can they speak both dutch and deutsh in the Netherlands? Or does germans understand dutch, and does the dutchmen the other way around..?
I love German!
I hope I can study it next year. :) At that time I understand only few words.:(
He´s not german, but swiss.
Swiss´ speak german with a strange dialect ^^
oh really? for me he sounded the same hahaha, maybe because I'm spanish speaker (from Venezuela)
Wir sollen uns helfen! :D
Nun, nur wenn du willst!
I wonder why mark and simone broke up?
That´s a main problem of all languages. If you read a lyric, poem or book which is not written in your mother tongue, it´s nearly impossible to understand what the author really meant.
you bet.
oh yea,
i also did XD
haha yeah i got the idea, some german guy started trying to explain it to me XD about there being three types of nouns and such. i was like "uh huh uh huh *nodding while watching birds fly out window" .
the grammar is diff, but the vocab is similar , right ? RIGHT ??
XD
@TheKingnothing23 Uh, I'm pretty sure you mean Hell? This is Metal. Not Pop. Kthxbai.
dudes got a big head.
ooh okay , haha , yeah i guess there would be lotsa words different. kinda like , what dutch is to english , german is to dutch ?
xD
Oh, really? Would you mind translate this? Unfortunately I know only English and Polish... I learn German at school but I'm not very good in that. :D
I want the same, I'm not native english speaker but I understand it perfectly
...ich bin etwas verwirt, wo kommt die denn her? ich dachte die war doch deutsche, ihr deutsch ist doch prima
i'm confused, where does she come from? i thought she was a german...her german is really good
That´s exactly the answer, I was praying for :-)
That would be very very great...
und ich muss sagen, dein Deutsch ist schon recht gut :-)
Yeah that's what I meant! xD
Wow, one of the less countries you said? It seems it's the opposite way :P
Or maybe I've misunderstood x)
Nein mein freund. Es ist anders.
Ich sprichen deutsch und niederlandisch und ich bin auf die niederlanden.
To say it shortly, the dutch can speak both dutch as german. And the german has a hard time to speak dutch. SO!

Gott, das Interview kannte ich nicht. Damals hat so noch etwas holprig deutsch gesprochen. Heute hört man kaum einen Akzent.
no pero si se la anda tirando
Yeah, Dutch is much like German.
But beware! Grammar is completly different.
