Hey beer lovers! Sorry for the reupload - we managed to cut off our lovely Pro Patreons so reuploaded to get them back on! Anyone who commented on the old one, comment again if you be arsed!
Please keep doing these videos! A regular video like this would be ideal - ingredients, beer types, adjuncts, traditions, the actual brewing process etc It was fantastic seeing you just up the road from my ends in sunny Suffolk. Burnt Mill deserve the lime light, excellent brewer.
Love it! As you said, malt is so often ignored when hops are more sexy and yeast in more recent years has become the cool kid on the block. Great series😊
Glad I found this channel. This video has been really helpful in my understanding of malt and how underrated it is. Will definitely be trying different cereals in my brews
I love this channel! I’m a home brewer and craft beer fan from Suffolk, so I particularly enjoyed this escapade in my home county. I’ve been round Burnt Mill and their beers take me to a happy place. Great video; really informative and accessible. Keep up the good work fellas!
Fantastic informational video. Really well done. As a craft beer fan for 5 years, and an amateur homebrewer for 2, it's always a great experience to learn more about the world of beer and its insurmountable intricacies. Cheers from your neighbor across the pond.
You know what I love about the beer school vids..... The uplifting theme tune at the begining. Love it. Great film. I'd wish you do more beer schools. #Rasko
Great episode - thanks guys! It’s strange how malt has been overlooked to the extent it has. I guess we just take for granted high quality, flavoursome malt and focus on the development of exciting flavours in hops. Have you guys already made an episode about Bamberg? Some incredible malt-forward beers brewed there and some interesting techniques used e.g. Mahrs Bräu Ungespundet to achieve a softer carbonation. Cheers!
We havent made a Bamberg episode but we are in the midst of organising it! We are huge Mahrs and Schlenkerla fans. Malt has so much more variation than drinkers give it credit for so we want to show that much more after our experience at Muntons.
Great vid. I've found it a bit of a struggle to find a UK IPA that's decently malted and balanced, whereas it seems that US breweries place heavy emphasis on establishing a strong malt backbone in their IPAs before hopping the shit out of it. I've had a fair few IPAs here that tasted like hoppy soda water. I find that a little odd as the UK is known for producing the best malts in the world!
I think this is down to choice! Those UK brewers still use that world class UK malt, they just chose those with less intense flavour because they want to focus on hop flavour. American brewers often do the same but they have a richer vein of West Coast style IPA, which is more balanced between malt and hop. Meanwhile NEIPA is all about hop and yeast interplay.
Thank you. great this beer school of video i love you so but not clearly raw material of beer malt, hops, yeast ajunct and others you have conitnous next video clearly
Hello there can you give me Fabian Clark’s email address I’m working on a research project and would like to ask some questions about how the malting process!

Fantastic vid; really informative. I love malt, but don't think I've ever really thought about how it's actually malted. Keep it up
Awesome - exactly what we wanted to hear and show people!

Both guys wear hairnets on top of hair that's shorter than the uncovered beards beneath.
We get it. We look awesome ;)
@@TheCraftBeerChannel he has a point
Maybe because his facial hair is less likely to fall off. 😂
And also leave their pubes uncovered which are likely filled with lice
Alright karen
beautiful.......thanks for the video.....cheers

The brew master we interviewed credits the balance between malt and hops that won his beer several awards in the US
Great work as usual! Where you guys opening your taproom?
Taproom?! Far too much work, we prefer drinking in them.
Cracking episode gents. There's so much malt in this episode I can taste it!
`Well then I´ve drunk a fuckton of that`. Great line!

I live in Florida, I can’t get it here, good luck.
This was as a good or better than anything I’ve ever seen on the learning channel. Marc summers better watch out.
Praise indeed! Thanks so much!
I like eating most of them in the brew room.
Nice hat. ;)
Can you reccomend where to get a good all in one brewing kit?
We use the Grainfather and love it. Great balance between build quality and price, lots of features and a big community for support and help.
@@TheCraftBeerChannel Cheers for that I've seen a lot of good reviews for the grainfather 😊😊
"Well then I've had a fuckton of that" hahahaha

Hey. Yes the best thing to do is visit some breweries! Many are very welcoming if you drop them an email and explain.

Cool
I usually only think of malt when I taste that it has gone horribly wrong of exceptionally right.

10:52 haha class!
9:40 did I just hear Seth Rogen laughing
whats the point of covering hair when your beard is exposed?
....Imma have to leave that question to the people that PUT THAT THING ON ME.
Cover the whole face rather.
Yes . Very interesting question
Where's the beard nets .
We didnt wanna look STUPID.
My thought exactly! Just couldn't get past this. Had to stop the video to engage in the comment XD!
Drinking beer from cans? Shocked I am. Shocked.

You can make a good bread of barley, just saying .
Not as easily as with wheat though!
please i need a job in your company
Haha - we can barely pay ourselves! But we do live the dream.
Why not a beard net, I mean that's where most of his hairs are 😅.
Hairnets are useless if you don’t also have a beard net lol
Thank you. great this beer school of video i love you so but not clearly raw material of beer malt, hops, yeast ajunct and others you have conitnous next video clearly
Wears a hairnet, but has more growth on his face.
Yeah but if I had a beer net on I'd just look stupid.
"Blacks" evidently "own malt" andor have agreements to "telepathically "sense" malt".
poorly made , unclear pronunciation for whats going on part. difficult for non native listeners, please improve thanks.
Thanks for stopping by with your positivity!
Exactly, my ear can’t grasp the accent either.
Please make sure to have a different accent next time guys 😋😉

Afraid I cant for data protection reasons but email muntons direct and I am sure they will put you in touch.
