HEY JACK MOUNTAIN TOM FROM THE HISTORY CHANNEL I KNOW HIM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AGO AROUND THE TURN OF THE CENTURY... I'M GLAD YOU USING THE NAME OUTBACK JACK ☺️ BECAUSE ONE EYE JACK MOUNTAIN MAN HE WAS A FRIEND OF MINE TOO 😉 GLAD YOU'RE DOING YOUR SHOWS JACK😇
Thanks for letting us tag along. This was an amazing adventure. I loved seeing the beautiful mountains and learning about history. Now I see why they call this the Big Sky Montana, it is definitely beautiful country.
Well thank you for watching and taking interest. was a lot of ground to cover and a great adventure! It always makes me happy to share these experiences and places with others. curiosity or sheer love of nature and history ought to be shared and discussed! I’m glad I could be a part of that and pass it along. Thank you for your time and input. hope your well and see ya on the trail👋
Absolutely outstanding video Jack.I live in a mill house in S.C. that was built in 1850.I have giant wood floor joists similar o some of the large pieces from the past. The logs are milled using the heart of the tree. Here most old homes were made out of pine (heart pine) and it's one of the best fire startes ever.
Oh boy, you sir just peaked my interest..I have seen that and I just think they are gorgeous. Something about the design and simplicity.! You are living the American dream in one of those. Most people actually shy away from such a undertaking I think it’s bad to the bone.! I’m eventually going to try something similar I love living and being in the back country and close to history. Thank you for sharing..jealous 🤠🤠
@@MountainWestProductions it's definitely a love hate relationship me and this old house.I own a small home renovation business si when I'm home the last thing g I want to do is work on our old house but I do anyway lol The sad thing here on the east coast the mills have been shutdown for decades and tge communities are usually lower income.I can't complain much it's still relatively safe and I only gave $28,000.00 for my old house
that’s understandable, the trades beat you up a lot. it’s not easy work but it’s definitely satisfying. heck if I were you I would advertise the before and after of that mill (home). definitely have talent and pride in your work if you were able to work around some of the old “custom planning”. some of the old plumbing work I do still throws me for a loop, it’s neat but definitely up for interpretation!
Hey Jack, love this video. Makes me think my next planning vacation should be to Montana. Just a suggestion and maybe you do this, but maybe you could give coordinates or map to show exactly where you are for anyone inspired to follow you’re footsteps exploring . Have a blessed day!
Michelle thank you glad to hear it. I hope you enjoy your time here the next time you come out and appreciate our vast history! I do appreciate the suggestion that’s a great idea too. I have no problem sharing with you if you have any questions I have a instagram I use for direct messages. Sometimes bad actors do see this stuff and ruin it and it’s kind of a person to person basis just to make sure nothing gets destroyed or scrapped and it’s all for the love of the land not to be rude or inconsiderate. You as well have a blessed day and thanks again. Instagram Outbackjack989
Gorgeous area to explore, lots of photography opportunities… Philipsburg looks interesting, plenty of old brick buildings to renovate. What do residents do for employment there? I really like your yellow boxes with historical information.
The largest employers in the area are a hospital/retirement home, a large private ranch that caters to the ultra rich and a local brewing company on the Eastside of town. From what I gather.
I didn’t know that (Crowe adventure network) interesting..if Crowe adventure network would get around to adding Outbackjacks instagram handle Hugh could also view some of our still photos while enjoying the channel @croweadventurenetwork thanks for keeping in touch Hugh, hope your well!🤠
glad to hear it, was a super fun site there’s more there but a considerable hike I wasn’t prepared to undertake. thanks for letting me know. hope your well mack
Thank you David for the kind words appreciate it! I really like documenting and sharing this stuff so it hopefully isn’t ruined and forgotten by time still something for us to enjoy.. Hope you’re well and see ya on the trail!🤠

That was sooo interesting, brought back memories of exploring the many mines in Arizona in the early 70’s
