  • In this video John from Smart Edition and Nicky who scored a 100% on the TEAS 7 sat down for what is an absolute master class on how to study for and pass the TEAS. In 5+ years of Smart Edition helping students pass the ATI TEAS, this is the first time we came across a student who scored a 100% on ALL SECTIONS of the ATI TEAS which is amazing. We knew we had to get her story so we could share it with all of you.
    Nicky is a mom of 3 who went back to school to become a nurse and spent 6 weeks studying for the ATI TEAS. She shares ALL of her tips, study resources, and study plan that she used to study and get that score. Nicky went from a 58% to a 100% in just 6 weeks!

    Thank you for your insights and inspiration. I am preparing myself to take the teas, although I have been done with all my prerequisites for some time. I finally did complete my lab in one of my science courses that I have been needing to do for a while. I earned myself an A! So, that tells me that I can push myself even more by preparing strategies to study and pace myself to take the Ati teas and pass it. As of yesterday, I was all over the map not sure which direction I needed to go when it came to what and how to prepare myself to study for the exam until I saw your video. After a few minutes of watching it and reading the reviews on Amazon, I immediately purchased the Smartedition book to go along with the mometrix that I purchased a few weeks ago. Now I feel that I can start studying with confidence. I will also be purchasing the teas package as well once I figure out what exactly is the A & B practice exams. I also have the smartedition app as well. Thank you again and good luck to all!

    WOW! Hearing this is almost confirmation for me. Her study plan/materials are the same materials I bought all the way down to purchasing the ATI teas package. She’s exactly right about mometrix. It’s an awesome book, but it’s more complex than the smart edition. I love both books, but smart edition is definitely my go to. The online resources that come with the book is just outstanding. I took a couple of the full length mometrix practice test online and though I got what’s considered a passing score both times, they weren’t where I wanted my scores to be. I love how smart edition lets you test on one subject at a time. I also sometimes go over my Quizlet notes as well. I’m feeling very confident with my material and my study habits though I will not be aiming for a 100% 😂😂😂😂 that’s so awesome though. I’ll be satisfied with a 78%-80%. Best of luck to everyone!!!!

    Absolutely incredible -you earned that 100% not luck
    imo sounds like you prepared yourself physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s doable and you did it. You were dedicated! I wish you the best of luck in your career.
    ~When I was in high school the principal went to my mother to let her know first that I almost made a perfect score on my SATs now that was luck lol because I did not study nor had the GPA to go with it. This was in the 80s when we penciled everything in. 😂
    I have left an auditorium in college changing the last answer from the right answer to the wrong answer. Biggest regret because I would’ve aced it. it was such an easy question. To this day when I see the phrase/word I laugh to myself. 😅Sometimes your first answer is the right answer and not to go back and change answers. But yes it is good to review if you have time because you can make a slight error in reading a question especially in reading comprehension. For me anyways. I’m my worst critic. 🤦‍♀️
    Definitely going to take your advice and get a GED book to refresh myself. It’s been years since I went to HS and college, but I want to go to nursing school if I can pass the TEAS. I need to study. Of course the Science portion especially Chemistry will be my downfall. Crossing my fingers! 🤞

    • @SmartEditionAcademy

      We're rooting for your! If your taking the the TEAS test we definitely would not reccomend refreshing with a GED book, you would be studying all kinds of things that are not on the TEAS. I am seriously so nervous as a mom of 2 I really cannot waste money on books that are no good or courses that I can't digest. Mometrix I already bought was so big and overwhelming. Smart Edition I have heard good things about, BUT I am weak in math and have almost no experience with chem and science. Is this course enough to teach me enough in these subjects as to where I am strong enough to pass? I am obviously very concerned about having to take the test more than once because I feel the amount of time and money spent and my confidence wavering, I may not try a second or third time.

    • @SmartEditionAcademy
      @SmartEditionAcademy  Рік тому +2

      You're not alone feeling nervous in your situation, the good news is this is totally something you can conquer and do well on the test. Our TEAS 7 course is much easier to digest than the mometrix book and if you haven't had any experience with science or chem then the course will help you understand what you need to know for those topics. The best thing to do is get as much practice in as you can and the course has 8 timed practice tests and a question bank with over 1,000 questions organized by each topic. Given you haven't worked with some of the science and are weaker in math you might plan to allow your self as much study time as you can, we typically recommend 4-6 weeks but it's not uncommon for students to spend much more time than that if they need to. When is your test date or have you not scheduled it yet?

      Hey! Its me in the video and i totally understand. Im a mum of 3, last studied maths 30 years ago and not in America! I was terrified! I suggest you get hold of an old GED textbook. One of those big thick 1000 page ones. Local libraries will have them for free. Find the sections relevant to the TEAS (which is actually most of them!) and - here’s the trick- do all the practice questions you can. The trick with maths is not just to study it but to DO it over and over and over again. Hope this helps and good luck!

    I am wondering if anyone can answer my questions? I only have 3 weeks before my test, so I am good at math. I am wondering if I can get 90% on math and 50s on reading and grammar but only have 20% in science. Am I able to get 58.7% score? My school told me as long as I get 58.7% then I can start school in November. Thank you in advance 😊

    • @SmartEditionAcademy
      @SmartEditionAcademy  Рік тому +2

      If you have 3 weeks you still have some time to study. To get your overall score you can take your 4 subject scores and add them all together and then divide that number by 4. You can run different scenarios of different subject scores to determine what you might need to get the 58.7% that you need. What school are you planning to apply to?
