Sure
1. No, most non eu expats do not speak German before getting a job, you just need to be better then people applying for jobs worldwide.
2. Switzerland is one of the highest paid country for correct individuals, they pay high but also employ the best and are highly spezialised.
I lived in Canada for 4 years and right now i am living in Swiss. Canada or USA are good to make money specially Canada has a lot of potential. And yes to get job in Switzerland you have to learn German anyways either after job or before so why not just cut the debate and go for it, that's what i am doing. Switzerland is also expensive according to Canada but then salaries are also higher here and don't forget you can travel whole Europe, Mediterranean, Middle East even Asia easily and obviously if you earn in swiss francs everything outside Swiss will be cheap. So it depends on person, if you want best in class everything come to Swiss but if you just want to earn money and live decent life move to Canada.

For paid PHd you dont have to show any bank balance just a work contract, since your expenses are covered via the salary.

Switzerland still has the Mandatory Civil amd Military services. Would you please explain both of the in brief? I understand civil services are mainly Social services but, do you have to leave your job and house for military service? Or is it like NCC?
Dont quote me but, 21 weeks of basic military service is required, which can be done in phases, employers know about it and therefore keep certain weeks free for such employees, 80%salary is paid during the service no need to leave the job.

I understand that your Job is safe and secured no need to worry about it, BUT, for example, my mandatory service starts today, what exactly happens and what to expect? It might sound personal but have you done your military service? If so, would love to hear your experience.
And forgive me please for asking you all these questions, but I'm just curious that, why do so many people choose to stay PR and not get a citizenship. I've seen most of your videos covering all the Information about getting the Visa, PR and citizenship. I just want to make sure that I don't make a mistake in this and get a Swiss citizenship when the time comes. The military is only interested in young ones, aged between 18-24, so most likely no foreigner who become a citizen will be accepted(since it takes minimum 10 years to be eligible for citizenship). most likely they either do civil service or pay 3% of yearly income, I will do the same.
A Swiss citizenship is a huge difference only for non EU citizens, majority of foreigners in Switzerland are EU citizens, for them it is too much work to get citizenship with very less benefits so they do not bother.
Getting a Swiss citizenship is very difficult, takes time(process>1year), money(>1500CHF), and being grilled by authorities and your commune in local language(chance of rejection). A PR provides more or less same benefits so people stick with it.

@@adilumar3905 Hey Adil, thanks for your feedback, understand there are several factors that affect a citizenship timeline. Your friends might have each different factors involved due to which they got the passport early. Some countries do not count student residence, via marriage you get citizenship early, a doctor get a citizenship faster etc. All the information above is a general timeline to expect and each case is always different and an information can be right or wrong as per such perspective. ✌
