The institute people used to ask that "Do You Watch His Mallu Films"? till then I did not see but following his Mallu films and music since college days as my aim is to dive deeper into filmmaking and after watching his Malayalam films I started liking him more. Baat karein Paresh sir or Sharman ki so they are character artists and being their fans is not a big deal as the person exploring cinema can like as many character artists they want.(I even like Southie character artists). First time hearing Akshay Kumar be proud of being a Punjabi Hindu. So many times I find Punjabi's in Bollywood hide their Hindu identity or their Punjabi identity. Most of all they seem to try to showcase a Sikh identity as if Punjabi (an ethnic identity created thousands of years ago and the birthplace of Hinduism & some of the first Hindus) is the same thing as Sikh (a religious identity created 500 years ago). Punjabi's are a majority Muslim and Hindu with a Sikh minority. Good on him for claiming his identity proudly - we should all be proud of what we are and I'm immensely proud to be a Punjabi Hindu.
This is exactly why I love watching his movies as opposed to SRKs. He makes movies on issues, events that have a social impact or stories that have been forgotten. I love him for that. I love being his fan and love his OMG, Holiday, PadMan, Gabbar and Kesari. I was boggled about Kesari. Whoa! Forget 300.

Just saw the "Raniganj" on Netflix, frankly its an awesome movie. Simple movie depicting how in the moment of great crisis the character stood-up and depicted the leader within. Some unnecessary drama is included showing unneeded rivalry/ corporate politics, which is universal though, every movie here or wordlwide includes this. But all-in-all a must watch and awesome movies.
No matter what but these are few of the things about Akshay Kumar that has made me in being a huge fan of him since I started watching bollywood movies. Akshay Kumar is indeed my all time favourite actor.
I love the podcasts from Smita Prakash. Just one suggestion to the team would be to change the setup, make it a little modern setting. Right now it reminds me of an early 2000’s set

First time hearing Akshay Kumar be proud of being a Punjabi Hindu. So many times I find Punjabi's in Bollywood hide their Hindu identity or their Punjabi identity. Most of all they seem to try to showcase a Sikh identity as if Punjabi (an ethnic identity created thousands of years ago and the birthplace of Hinduism & some of the first Hindus) is the same thing as Sikh (a religious identity created 500 years ago). Punjabi's are a majority Muslim and Hindu with a Sikh minority. Good on him for claiming his identity proudly - we should all be proud of what we are and I'm immensely proud to be a Punjabi Hindu.

Two titans at the top of their game. Smita is one of the best interviewers - questions so good that you don't notice the time go by. Akshay proves that he has his head on his shoulders - honest, humble and, possibly, a modern Guru Dutt.
Just saw the "Raniganj" on Netflix, frankly its an awesome movie. Simple movie depicting how in the moment of great crisis the character stood-up and depicted the leader within. Some unnecessary drama is included showing unneeded rivalry/ corporate politics, which is universal though, every movie here or wordlwide includes this.
But all-in-all a must watch and awesome movies.
No matter what but these are few of the things about Akshay Kumar that has made me in being a huge fan of him since I started watching bollywood movies. Akshay Kumar is indeed my all time favourite actor.
I love the podcasts from Smita Prakash. Just one suggestion to the team would be to change the setup, make it a little modern setting. Right now it reminds me of an early 2000’s set
