Bhai I have a question, is Switzerland a boring place to live? Because everything shut down at 7-8 pm and towns are literally in pin drop silence in the weekends also it's very hard to build friendship with Swiss people( I know when the friendship begin it's lifelong). So how is the lifestyle different from US or UK(where everyone is really in fun mode always something is happening) ?
Hey, it depnds, true its not a happening place, but people prefer more to be in nature here at weekends, hiking, skiing, mountain biking etc. True it can be difficult to make friends lots of foriegners may feel depressed here, but i beleive most come only for money either ways. Its a better place to raise a family then to be Single for sure.

Does one needs to renew the residence permit each year or it is every 2/3 years that you have to renew? (Of course as a NON-EU/EFTA citizen)

Hey Bobby yes, visited India and other countries for vacation that is never an issue. India does not allow dual citizenship so it needs to be converted into an OCI card (Overseas Citizenship of India)

If you get a job after your study, yes it counts.

My german is mix of both, and I understand them both as well, knowing a language does not guarantee a job, its more about skills required by the market, look in Indeed.ch for jobs.

For EU citizens there are no restrictions on job markets, once you get a job a rrsidence permit is issued, indeed.ch for jobs.

Hey yes sure both countries allow dual citizenship, the process is same for all nationality in the world as explained on this video, 10 years residence minimum, if all goes well 12 years for citizenship.

how did you kept extending visa because student visa is just around 1-2 years and work permit is around 3 years
A permit is given based on the duration of your studies, I did bachelors therefore longer then 2 years, a student permit can be extended for max 8 years.

What is meant by uninterrupted stay, if someone lived and studied in Geneva for 10 years but in that 10 years he visits his native country like India, will the 10 year period lapse ? Or only the months he was not in Switzerland were removed from those 10 year rule ?
It simply means not to deregister as a resident in past 10 years, legal residence = Switzerland for 10 years. Everyone is free to travel offcource.

@@godwinuche4669 that means Switzerland must be your primary residence and must maintain a home/apartment during your residency period. For example: you are NOT able to live 6 months in Switzerland and the remaining 6 months of a year in another country. You can travel to other countries on a short term basis (1-2weeks) whenever you’d like to but they have a certain amount of time that you’re allowed to be out of the country (for vacation) without losing your residency (you’re probably allowed 90 vacation days in total- you don’t have to take 90day vacation at one time… you can take multiple trips totaling that amount throughout the year). This vacation allowance resets every year… you cannot roll over the 90 day allowance from one year to the next year lol. Check the Swiss government website for the exact allowance as I’m not 100% certain of the actual numbers.

Hey man if you shift a country you loose your time spent there towards your pr, apart from that sure move if you like, for jobs see indeed.ch, work study life is fine doable, to bring parents is difficult unless both are alive one can be brought if dependent on you and financially possible, no your sister having a Swiss passport wont help you in any ways.
