Had mine for a couple of years now, still very happy with it, in the near future I hope to set the mitre saw into the bench with the clamps attached, so I can use it inside or outside 👍
Thank you for sharing 👍 and that's a good idea to have access to both options👍
this is the same one i have, it's great, and cheap but well-built, ive been using mine 3 years now and cant fault it in any way
Great to hear that, thank you for sharing 👍
This would be perfect for my Hikoki mitre saw, but for some reason it has 2 securing bolt holes at the front but only 1 hole at the back which isn’t aligned with the other holes, what a daft design.
Maybe I can get a third clamp or would securing by 2 holes be enough?
@@chrisr6710 you can always pre drill the saws base for extra hole?
Mine's just arrived and I've assembled it. It seems pretty solid, but it definitely needs wheels or leg extensions if you're 6ft 2in and don't want a bad back! Fortunately I was planning to do this anyway!
Exactly, extended legs would be great.
Thanks Thomas. Take care & stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Hi Thomas,
What is the model number of this stand?
Great video once again.
Dennis.
@dennisgregson8119 can't remember but I have a direct link to this stand in the description of this video 👍
I like mine but the ability to add wheels would be a great bonus and help when storing it. Maybe an idea for a future video?
I was thinking exactly that. I think I will use it as my mitre saw stand going forward and I will get rid of the flip top I have in my workbench. But I will cover the reasoning and everything in future videos.
@@CasualDIY Is there a way to add wheels to this model, bould it be that hard, really?
@@niallchurch2679 There is always a way, depends how much you want to mess around with it. You could drill the legs and bolt on some wheels to them. You could make a platform on wheels and put the stand on it.
Thanks Tomasz for the informative review. I am purchasing one today for my Evolution Mitre Saw. Any ideas on how to hang the saw on the wall as you suggested in the video. I would not want to put any strain on any structural parts of the saw. Thanks again.
Well if you use those two clamps that come with the stand i would utilise those. I think I will be doing exactly that soon with my saw so I will cover that on my channel
@@CasualDIY Thanks Tomascz. You are a star. I will look out for that on your channel.
Pretty nice tool indeed, Tomasz! 😃
And it shouldn't be difficult to make a mobile stand for it!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I think so too 😄👍
I prefer the Titan version personally. It is wider so less suitable for a tight space but able to handle longer work pieces. Double sided support for the stop/rollers too. Saw brackets look identical.
Useful review, thank you
Thank you for watching 👍
Problem I have is my saw is an old one not titan, and the bolts for evolution are 6mm as is the tool mounts slots that attach to the saw base.My saw takes 8mm bolts, which are too big for the tool mount !
Well could you just install the 6mm bolt, add couple of washers to make sure there is enough coverage and it should be fine.
Looks decent as it happens.
Looks a lot like the Sheppac one
The discount code isn't valid.
Thank you for your comment, I have just dropped them an email to see what is going on. Once I will find out I will let you know.
Hi, it seems the code now works as it should
@@CasualDIY It does, so I've ordered one. Thanks.
@@EcoHamletsUK great to hear it
I have this saw and stand, the problem with this is if you use hardwood which is heavy the rollers tend to go down however tight they are, I tried it with cherry and walnut same both times softwood it is fine,
@Steve-w5c Not found a difference between types of wood to be honest. I was cutting a 9cm x 9cm 2.4m long beam and as long as part of it rests on the bed of the saw then I see no issues. Maybe if the whole weight would be on one roller then maybe but that's not how you will be making any cuts. As you are cutting the timber it will always rest on the saws bed.
