I repaired our tumble dryer once.... ended up with half a plastic cup of screws left over, despite putting screws in places they'd never been before. Merry christmas to you and yours nick
Nozzle cleaner sets for gas welding torches are excellent at unblocking small orifices like washer nozzles. They are very cheap, under a fiver for a set of loads of small diameter files.
I have just ordered one of your NB200 Bags from ITS I am a Joiner and the layout looks great for the sort of tools I use Keep up the great work on the videos Hope you had a great Christmas and have a happy new year
Oh you were so close to finding the problem. The rubber filter you showed on the screen blocks up with like a jelly. Pull the pump out like you did before and then grab the edge of the filter and pull it out of the washer bottle. Give it a clean and refit. Voila, sorted
Your experience with care repair parallels mine. While I am hand with most things, I absolutely hate working on cars. I always end up with grease on my hands and/or clothing. It really pisses me off.
The test leads that come with the Megger MET-1000 (which I'm pretty sure you showed in a previous video) have a nice sharp spike which can be good for getting into small connectors.
Nick, I have a 12 plate Mondeo as my second car and it has the same washer res and pump setup. I did the same job as you three weeks ago, it's always worth while changing the bung filter as they don't cost much. BTW, I bought my pump from fleabay, cost £8.95!
Pumps cavitate and it stops them pumping....had that with pond pumps...also those meshes get blocked with slime that comes from screen wash....it's like a plastic slime from the additives...just run clear water in summer it helps
8:32 so the washer fluid you bought it ready mixed.. problem arise when people use concentrated un-diluted washer fluid specially where heated washer jets are fitted.. this can heat the fluid and it becomes like a gel consistency that blocks jets!
Hi Nick. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family. Have a terrific holiday season! (But that was a bit mean & naughty having a cliffhanger on Christmas Eve! LOL)
Not a car mechanic keep up the day job. I did a washer on daughters car a few years ago. Had two pumps on so swapping pipes and connectors soon identified a faulty washer pump. Looked identical to the one you swapped. Anyway swapped and worked. Got it off eBay so not the premium version obviously but only cost around £7. Failed prior to the next MOT so I told her to get the garage to swap it whilst it was on the ramps. Not sure how well they fitted it as although it was then ok for the MOT the fluid level kept dropping. Anyway she was due a newer car so part exchanged the problem. ( I always try to wear safety specs under a car looking up).
Nick, bleach in the system, but remove the jets from the hose... run bleach water thru it a couple of times, then rinse it out a few times. And DON'T USE WATER, USE PROPER WASHER FLUID, it's not THAT expensive
Ford. Stands for Fix or Repair Daily. Every one I have owned is the same. something is always broken or not working. Take to the mechanic next day check engine light.
colour is irrelevant, both fluids can be green, blue or pink - the smell or "feel" is a give-away. My vehicle currently has pink coolant (Ford spec) and purple washer fluid (Halfords berry screenwash)
The worst vehicle I had designed it with the washer bottle right at the bottom near road level , so every winter the damn thing froze up no matter what was in it.
If you fill your washer bottle with only water, sometimes in summer you can grow algae, which can block washers here, pumps etc
yep, the bottle can get really gross....

I always think manufacturers use far too many any way.

The washer jets tend to be fine, it's the pump filter that gets blocked up with dirt
Yeah focus is same I ended up cutting hole in the filter at pump
3:17 one way valve to keep the pipe primed with water.. !
Nick.. You should have just contacted Mat Armstrong 😂Happy New Year when it comes.
your correct in how you say router for the tool, merry chrismtas m8
Use packout organisers for bolts, screws & small parts when deconstructing. Reverse pressure through the pump can damage it
Ive watched you for years on UA-cam. Forgive me if I'm being a little bit blunt nick but you are looking good fella! Well done.
If you have any issues with your van pop round to Petrek motors services, he is bang on and only in Stafford.

Merry Christmas Nick
If there’s screws left over that just means you’re a better engineer 😂
the bottle has a small filter by the pump, that shit gets dirty and blocks up

The grommet may have a filter in it. These get blocked with scum.

£50! Did you get it from CEF…😳. Fe I are good stuff, but seems a lot for a basic washer pump
have you had the wet belt changed on it yet ?
Yeah. He got Adam’s dad to do it. Nick wanted him out the way for a few hours 😅
Sound like the pumps away
