  • The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), in partnership with the Ministry of Health of Brazil, through the National Program of Genomics and Precision Health - Genomas Brasil, from the Department of Science and Technology (Decit), Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Health Economic-Industrial Complex (SECTICS), is hosting the Regional Meeting "Human Genomics for Health: Enhancing the Impact of Effective Research", on May 15th and 16th, 2024, at the PAHO office in Brasília, Brazil.
    Recognizing the potential of genomic medicine for improving human health, the World Health Organization (WHO) Science Council is implementing a program of activities to promote equitable and fair access to genomics research and technologies for the benefit of people worldwide, across pillars identified in its publication "Accelerating access to genomics for global health" (www.who.int/publications/i/it....
    The event is part of the WHO's activity program and aims to achieve mutual understanding and define the agenda for the advancement of genomic research in the Americas.
