If anyone noticed the sped up song, it's because this isn't the final take. It's a technique used to help the dancers learn their choreography at a greater speed, in order to relax into the dance on the final take. It also improves recall and means they can fit more rehearsals in.
It could actually be the proper take though. As another commenter noted, music videos are sometimes shot faster to smooth out motion in shots. Sometimes to a much more noticable effect for slow motion purposes

i think it is indeed the final take, they shot it in 60fps or higher to get that smoothness in the output

Yes, and the male dancer gathering it from the floor, running to deliver it to an assistant, then going to the background to hide with the other male dancers.
If you continue to watch it from that point , you'll notice at least two dancers hiding continuously behind the camera man, moving quick and anxious. Then having only one second to get into place before the camera is focused on them AND to remember what part of the dance choregraph you're up to. I couldn't do it.
Yea the dancers are phenomenal but gah damn we gotta give it up for the camera crew. What an incredible display of teamwork. I’ve never been this amazed by a song and music video. Everybody involved in this killed it. This is ART
So good 😭😭 when I first saw this as a photographer/videographer I was blown away the planning, the choreography, the One shot with perfect movement from everyone knowing where to be , and when to be there. The lighting in the background switching lights as the camera rotated. Make up and outfit designs. Everyone worked so well and well deserved to receive the attention it created. Including the fact that it seems each song is getting its own video from the whole album *chefs kiss*
omg, this gave me SOOO MUCH RESPECT for the production crew. how they figured out LIGHTING as they're moving, and also, how the dancers had to often run behind the camera to not be in the shot... wow. WOW WOW. Wow wow. So glad we got to watch this.
Wow. What struck me in watching this is how much the dancers have to move around even more than we see on camera. I mean, they have to shuffle around behind the camera and then suddenly appear on on screen as if they were just strolling through the set. Mad, mad props to these talented and professional people.
The final video was impressive but watching the behind the scenes makes me appreciate it even more-so much coordination between dancing, placement, lighting, camera angle, use of props
The Jungle Cinematic Universe is the only one I acknowledge. Guys: write your next album with these fantastic kids and this genius choreographer in mind.
@@pascal590 Also, I won't be surprised if she's the one who knows what the "stage directions" should be and is telling him when EXACTLY to change camera movements (since any audio of her talking would be muted in the MV). It's definitely a 2 person job

Not going to lie I had assumed that the video was filmed in a few shots and stitched together very well. It's amazing to see that it's all one shot! Amazing skill by the choreographers, dancers, lighting techs, camera operators, and everyone else!!

This is mind blowing. Even seeing it in this form, its still difficult to believe the skill and execution levels here. Someone had this choreography in their brain and made this happen..... astounding.
I just knew it was filmed in one take. It shows off the talent the whole crew has from dancers, camera crew and everybody else involved it the production, amazing, just amazing.
This works so well not only because of the genius choreography and dancing, but the inspired direction that allows us to see the dancers without a thousand fiddly edits that destroys the sheer magic.
I hope people know & appreciate how much hard work & rehearsals went into creating a one take performance like this. Everybody has to be on point. No weak links allowed. Its just wonderful to see a talented village create a musical video masterpiece. You dont see the blood sweat & tears that came before this. From the dancers to the technicians. Everybody else inbetween.
The video itself was minblowing. But you see it in a whole new way after this behind the scene. These dancers practically grew up with Jungle. Will & Mette have been in their video so many years. And so have the others, sorry I don't remember their names. Just wow. Kudos to all the dancers, Jungle and Shay's team!
rolex gotta call up this production crew because the timing was incredible. watching this from an alternate angle just shows you how magical this team truly is. everyone from the musicians to the dancers to the editors to the lighting; just incredible work all around. i am floored. also didnt know they record with a slightly sped up version of the song

What story are they telling here with the different dancers? I want to see "You Ain't No Celebrity" behind the scenes. That one kicks a$$. The women particularly rocked that one.

Knowing that all of the magic of this magnificent video was created in camera, in on take, without any digital effects, basically like you would have done in 1974, turns the video into a beautifully crafted absolute masterpiece and a one of a kind artistic achievement. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic!!! My Brother was a dancer in NY back in the late 80's to '94...the year he passed away. He would've fit right in with this troupe. I love watching this style of choreography and really appreciate all of the talent presented here: from the music, filming, dancing, choreography...all of the creative energy it takes to put on this level. Typically, I have no real compunction to an interest in dance. However, this music clip is utterly fascinating, and every single movement seems to illicit meaning and emotion. Utterly compelling. Just wow!!!!
This explains why I've felt like nobody can really recapture the dance on tiktok. The song used here is pitched and a little bit faster, which makes the movements more marked when they dance, something that is still evident in the music video even tho it's slowed down
I thought the same thing. It just doesn't look the same when you learn it at normal speed, and I feel like everything clicked with finding out it was choreographed and performed at a different speed!

Just WOW. How everything is connected and the performance of each dancer is superb. So much effort in every little aspect.
