To say it again Rachel ‘I love your tutorials’ 💖💕💓💞 When you show your mistakes or say ‘it doesn’t matter’ this shows your true character in that you don’t consider yourself perfect, you are one of us and by no means a novice as you recently stated! You demonstrate how to recover or move on when mistakes are made & you give us hope to believe we can all accomplish any project that you share........thank you so very much 🤗🥰
Love how sometimes an older video comes up in the feed. I hadn't watched this one Rachel. Love them, they're so sweet. (Enjoying Patricia's story too!)
Because of you, two things -- well, three. In reverse order. Yesterday I ordered the Artymaze add on for the winter kit -- I am in lub, as my child when he was 16 months old would say. No. 2 -- I learned how to print on tracing paper. I would not have watched Nik's video on that, because I never would have thought I could reproduce anything she does; she is awesome -- I don't gas myself or the paper, just like it plain -- No. 3 -- ooh, I guess it's 4 -- No. 3, My rectangle placemats came in Amazon today and I can't wait to try them out -- have you tried to print directly onto them? I'm going to use spray on adhesive and stick them to a legal size paper and see if I can do that, because, good Lord, that last one you did is gorgeous !!! -- and No. 4 -- you have got to stop being so hard on yourself -- everyone makes mistakes and it helps us learn through yours -- you can quit reading now if you want -- but you will never make a mistake of this magnitude. This is a true story -- So, it was coming up on time -- within the next 48 to 72 hrs. I don't remember that part precisely, but within days -- and they were doing the final run-throughs for the countdown on the launch of one of the space shuttles. It was so close to launch, and the weather in FL for once was cooperating for an on-time launch -- it's usually delayed for weather -- and they had gone through all of the launch sequences to ensure all systems go -- and this was so important a task, that the head of the entire dept. for the launch was doing the test personally -- and -- it came time to launch -- of course, they had a practice sequence button which would simulate launch, only, he pushed the wrong button and launched the space shuttle -- they were able to immediately lock it down, but the damage was done -- several millions' of dollars in spent fuel, the launch ended up being delayed like six months; it was huge. Of course, the man tendered his resignation, but the head of the agency refused it saying: you'll never make that, or any other, mistake again -- you're a good engineer -- we'll take the damages out of your weekly salary -- no, I made that part up -- but the dude launched the space shuttle. And remember, no one is forced to watch your videos, and you have a lot of repeat customers -- me -- no one I know crafts -- no one I know wants to talk about crafting -- so it's nice to spend time w/ people who do -- I read others' comments, and I learn from them, as well. I laughed at Lulu's little "I don't want to do it" moment, because she is becoming a teenager -- a part of growing up -- my son has those still to this day -- I probably would, too, except I'm perfect. Not! This was a lovely little project, and I so look forward to spending the time w/ you, dodgy parts and all -- I still laugh about you flipping off the man who pulled around you -- and his incredulous reaction !! (knee slapper!)
I love your stories Patricia! You are such a wealth of knowledge and I love how you express yourself! I hope you write everything down. It would be a great read! Thank you so much 😊
Patricia Brightwell what a super way to look at making mistakes. That’s a GREAT story. Love your outlook and you’re right - if someone doesn’t like what Rachel is doing they don’t have to watch. I love watching Rachel!!!!
Had to chuckle Rachel - at the beginning when you started and said “I don’t know if I remember how” - I’ve done the same thing - went on a binge making stuff - including little bags out of everything I could think of - and then when I went to make some again, totally forgot! I like putting the folded edges of the bag on the outside, not the inside - less chance of it sticking to the inside of the bag and also, makes it a heck of a lot easier to glue! The printed tracing paper is gorgeous and one of my favorite things to do, but you seem to find just the right digi kits or designs to print on it. Lovely job. Thank you for being YOU and PLEASE - don’t EVER change that. Hugs!
Oh my wow!!! Here I go.....time to start my adventures in printing on tracing papers!!! Thanks for going on before us and bringing back such wonderful inspirations!
Pretty ideas!! ❤️ I love watching your creative process and most especially how you have “bodgy” crafting days too! It just “doesn’t matter”! 😊 ~ Everything is beautiful in the end
Also Rachel, you can use your decorative scissors to cut the top of the clear bags to but you may want to use paper while cutting with the scissors as well. It really gives them that store bought look. I absolutely love the designs your using too. I so wished I had a printer.
Well, your demonstration has been amazing - I got so excited and paused you right away, got out my tracing paper which I had planned to spray and printed on it. Voila! It worked first time. Thank you thank you Rachel. I did finish watching your video. I wish I didn’t have to waste time sleeping instead of crafting!
Now I know what to do with the pretty printed tracing papers I made from Nik’s tutorial. And I can use them without spraying them first. Good to know, and great ideas. Thanks Rachel!
New subscriber and I love your banter and I actually laughed out loud sitting in a hotel room with headphones on through this video. I was making a junk journal and messing things up because of the glue and I heard you saying because of glue and it tickled me. If we mess up it makes it more fun to fix and make it original! Lol. Love your channel. Keep crafting!
I've done some lightweight paper bags like this and a few glassine but I am going to try the tracing paper method. Hard to find glassine bags at a decent cost here. And I love the use these over other papers too! Thanks for sharing.
Love how those turned out. I found some cheap tracing paper that looks and sort of feels like vellum. I taped the top and side edges to printer paper and printed some of my pictures and eco prints on it. Turned out awesome. Good thing I bought lots as now I can't find it. Thanks for sharing how to make bags.
If you glue the flaps to the outside of the envelope they won't catch on the tag you put inside and because it's vellum you won't see them any differently. I love your shows even with your boo boo's as you put them. You make me smile........
These are gorgeous! I printed some butterflies on onion skin paper and then sprayed with a semi gloss clear as Nik had suggested. Loved them - the paper did curl though. I will have to try this again now that I purchased some tracing paper.
Fantastic use for tracing paper. One tip...spray adhesive. I love the stuff and makes it so easy to adhere tracing paper or vellum. Yes, you do have to spray outdoors or have a big spray box but even complete adhesion is great.
Love these ideas! I bought the spray but haven't tried it yet. I did finally print on tracing paper and it's really cool. Thank you for sharing your ideas!!
No time like the present to be watching this year old video (Sorry, new subbie). When gluing something thin like tracing paper to your music paper, get the tracing paper lined up and started, then use your ruler to slowly glide it over the tracing paper in the direction you are gluing. It should help with bubbles or wrinkles. Let me know if you try this and it works. Love your channel and love hearing about Lulu! She is so precious!
I've done tracing paper envelopes and tags before but have never tried bags or using it with those lovely doilies (I have loads so this will be a great way to use some of them up). Can't wait to have a go. TFS.
Hi Rachel. I love your videos, I make these but put my seam at the back this help if you have a nice picture that you want on the front. Either way both ways are great. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Omg love all of them...but the flowers on the rectangle doilie ... 🥰🥰🥰 love it even more !!! Is there a possibility, by any chance, you remember where the flowers print is from ?! Thank you so much for your help Jo
Absolutely gorgeous Rachel... I am really enjoying your tutorial (nothing at all to do with the fact I am on my second GnT…..lol) But seriously they are just beautiful ( I have some nice tracing paper too...….hmmm) and no, I have not yet done my rope bowl....yes I am really slack...lol ( have been in a world of pain today, with my nerve damage in my spine :( sucks to be old and decrepit....) I also love the layering with the music paper and the doily is divine, will definitely be trying this, thanks so much lovey xox 💖😍
Love those little envelopes! Wonder if you folded the flaps in first, then folded the large part over & trimmed it to fit, if it would be easier ... don’t know, maybe?
Hi again thank you for your answer. Did you have a support sheet of paper with it? My printer takes paper from the bottom, so I'm thinking one sheet of tracing paper with a white one on top. Would I need to use repositional spray glue? I want to do fairly quick Christmas cards. I make about 50 cards. Last year I used my new stamp press which was brilliant.
Booboo’s are permitted I liked both styles but then I’m easy. Lol. The music sheet Christmas one is fabulous. Stop it your killing me with these images. I love love the women and music.
Well.... I definatly love love your work... Great idea to add things in our Junk journals... One question Rachel, what is the best , laser or ink jet printing with tracing paper ? Sûre I could find lot of tutorials, (already watched Nik's) but I wanted to know what YOU prefer ... Thank for sharing that nice video... Gotta try and get an as beautiful as yours result. Hugs from France. Take care of you and your family...
You would have to use the removable one. I would try a sheet of tracing paper first to see if your printer will take it. That's what I did. I used a 55gsm weight tracing paper.
I can’t tell you which I like better. They are all so beautiful. When printing on tracing paper, do you have to use a laser printer or will a inkjet work as well?
Such a lovely idea! I was wondering though, instead of folding the image off-center in order to leave a bit to fold under and create the bag, could I just leave the unprinted part of the border on one side, fold the image in the center and use the unprinted bit to fold under and glue it?
You were having trouble going crooked using your cutter...try sliding your paper all the way to the top of the cutter, the paper will rest against the top of the cutter and it will hold the paper straight so that you have a nice square cut.
Are you kidding me. That is awsome. Well everything you show us is. Thanks from Aussie...Cheers Nita
Thank you so much 😊
There are so many great ideas here,Rachel.Printing on tracing paper is brilliant.A whole new world.Thank you so much .

I love these. My favorite is the one on the doily but they all look great. Thanks for sharing
Now I know what to do with the pretty printed tracing papers I made from Nik’s tutorial. And I can use them without spraying them first. Good to know, and great ideas. Thanks Rachel!
Thank you so much 😊! The spraying makes them a little more resistant (Ithink) and transparent.

Love your prints on tracing paper. So lovely!

I have not read through all the comments- but I adore these - such clever ideas on how to use up those printed on tracing papers!!
These are delightful! I am going to have to make some with the glassine I made!
Sounds fab! Thank you so much!
Good morning. I really love what you did with the printed tracing paper. It turned out beautifully. Thank you for sharing

Yes mine curled to so I put them under a book and they flattened out. Thank you so much 😊
Such great ideas! Love them! I have tracing paper that I copied onto. Now I have lots of ideas to do with them. Tfs

Great ideas! Great video Rachel❤️
Thank you so much 😊
So pretty. If you use the top edge of your cutter for reference your cuts will be right angles
I like what you have done, another fun tutorial.
Thank you so much 😊
Hi Rachel. I love your videos, I make these but put my seam at the back this help if you have a nice picture that you want on the front. Either way both ways are great. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

I love this! Great idea!
Thank you so much 😊
Gorgeous creations!!!
Thank you so much 😊
They look really great. I just printed on Velum the other day and it did just fine. Tracing paper even thinner. Don’t know if my printer will like it!
Give it a go and if it doesn't work maybe try taping it to a piece of copy paper.
Omg love all of them...but the flowers on the rectangle doilie ... 🥰🥰🥰 love it even more !!! Is there a possibility, by any chance, you remember where the flowers print is from ?! Thank you so much for your help
Jo
Or it's ANtique Paperie or Screech Owl Studio. Thank you so much!
Oh, yes! The doily was the best!
Another fun idea, yay! Happy crafting! tfs ;-)
Thank you so much 😊

Love these ideas for Christmas!❤️
These are so pretty!! ❤️❤️
Love those little envelopes! Wonder if you folded the flaps in first, then folded the large part over & trimmed it to fit, if it would be easier ... don’t know, maybe?
How lovely
Thank you so much!
Another great tutorial Rachel! 😉 Hugs, Joyce
Lovely ideas, tfs!!😊
Hi again thank you for your answer. Did you have a support sheet of paper with it? My printer takes paper from the bottom, so I'm thinking one sheet of tracing paper with a white one on top. Would I need to use repositional spray glue? I want to do fairly quick Christmas cards. I make about 50 cards. Last year I used my new stamp press which was brilliant.
I put my paper in without a support, my eco tank takes it very well. Try one and see how it goes.
Love everything.
Thank you so much 😊
Booboo’s are permitted I liked both styles but then I’m easy. Lol. The music sheet Christmas one is fabulous. Stop it your killing me with these images. I love love the women and music.
But not labels...lol
I got that in later at the end. 😂
Well.... I definatly love love your work... Great idea to add things in our Junk journals... One question Rachel, what is the best , laser or ink jet printing with tracing paper ? Thank you so much 😊! I only have an inkjet so I don’t know about a laser printer
Wondering how spray adhesive would work? Must try it.
Thank you so much 😊! I use my inkjet printer
Roxy Creations I’m so happy to hear that. I don’t want to buy one more printer. I’m off to find my tracing paper.
Love these Christmas ideas! xo
I love this, but how do you strengthen up the tracing paper so that it won't tear?
Thank you so much! I didn't strengthen it, it didn't tear. You could attach it to a piece of copy paper.
Clever girl they are lovely
😁
Thank you so much 😊
Such a lovely idea! I was wondering though, instead of folding the image off-center in order to leave a bit to fold under and create the bag, could I just leave the unprinted part of the border on one side, fold the image in the center and use the unprinted bit to fold under and glue it?
Yes you can do 5hat. Thank you so much 😊
What kind of paper ,are you using. Thanks so much,,
I used tracing paper
You were having trouble going crooked using your cutter...try sliding your paper all the way to the top of the cutter, the paper will rest against the top of the cutter and it will hold the paper straight so that you have a nice square cut.
Thank you so much!
Hi Rachel
Did you by chance print this tracing paper on your Epson tank printer? I can't get mine to print on tracing paper.
I did
Love these envelopes. Could you use double sided tape for the envelopes? I guess you could sew around the three sides?
You could use tape but I found whatever you put inside eventually sticks to the tape.
Beatiful!
love them, really cool :)
When you print on this paper do you use an inkjet or laser printer? Any tips for printing on tracing paper?
I use an inkjet printer and feed one sheet in at a time.
I couldn't find a video where you sprayed the tracing paper or talked about it. What do you spray it with?
I sprayed it with a matt fixative varnish. This was the video ua-cam.com/video/xDnsdjf6vxE/v-deo.html
@@roxycreations679 Thank you so much.
Very nice Rachael! I have never tried this on my copier before but I would like too.....cyndi m.
Thank you so much 😊! I put one sheet in at a time, just to be sure
How do you print on tracing paper, do you do it the same as printing on regular printer paper?
I was able to send it through my printer.
So pretty😊
Enjoying your vellum ephemera. But I did not see the end result of the tags.
I didn't finish them yet. Thank you so much!
Hi Rachel, were these printed on an ink jet printer? I really like the effect and thinking Christmas cards.
Yes I did use an ink jet. I just put one sheet in at a time to be sure
I have a piece of acetate inside when I glue...
Do you have to have a ink jet printer for the tracing paper?
Yes I used an ink jet
JUST LOVELY-LOVE YOUR VIDEOS-TFS-HUGS/BLESSINGS
Thank you so much 😊
