I forgot to add in my video that if you have never printed on tracing paper before.. it usually comes larger than a standard sheet of paper so you will need to cut it to standard paper size before going through your printer 💕
This is a very cute idea! Love these! If you cut your tracing paper down to the size of your copy paper, you can tape the tracing paper onto the copy paper with washi tape and feed it through that way. It works like a charm!
Omg! After watching I ran to Michael’s and got that tracing paper, meanwhile I was praying my printer would take it! I had to cut down that tracing paper to letter paper size, and IT WORKED,!!! Thanks so much!! I love this❤
Such a beautiful idea! Who knows? Sometimes I get my best ideas while washing the dishes. This a very useful item especially during the holidays. Thank you! Happy Holidays!
I discovered your channel less than a week ago and I am in so much awe of the beautiful things that you make and share! I’ve watched the most recent videos but now am bouncing around watching older videos. These bags are gorgeous! You are so talented and so kind to share the techniques of your craft. And…as luck would have it, I went out this evening in search of alternate papers and bought the exact tracing paper pad from Michael’s! 🎉 And your Etsy shop…😍!!!
Your tracing paper video came at just the right time. I had gathered pretty papers & ephemera for my sister, and the full page bag was the perfect size, and turned out so pretty. I used one of your full page printables (green plant shop ad), tied it in raffia, slipped in a small journal collage behind the raffia, and added a vintage clip on earring with rectangular rhinestones for a bit of bling. She will love it, and yes, the crinkle is great. (I'm just using a standard Epson inkjet printer, and it can be finicky in pulling up just one sheet of thin paper - So I loaded just one sheet at a time to avoid jamming problems.) Thanks for all your great videos! Pallas
Oh my gosh Heather. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!!! Thanks of sharing the type of paper you used. I too used a more expensive brand for a project but had trouble with my ink smearing. I thought maybe I was being impatient so I printed my design and let it sit overnight but it still smeared. UGH!!! I'll be heading to Michaels to get a pad of the kids paper. Thanks!!! Blessings to you this holiday season.
What a great Idea this is. My epson eco tank doesn’t like tracing paper but I glue it to paper and it works. I am going to print your love and light kit on it. Thanks Heather for the idea💕🌴
Thanks, Heather - I made 2 glassine bags, and they are so cute! I'm always wanting an Epson Eco tank to save on ink, but my Canon Pixma will print on just about anything! Just a tip: it's easier to pinking sheer-cut the top at same time as the bottom, then glue bag closed.
Love the crinkly sound and transparency of glassine bags, so these will be a fun and pretty alternative. The print on the paper really determines the bags shape and size, how fun is that!!
Thank you Heather for this wonderful instruction so we can make glassine bags and decorate them to our own liking! Your attention to detail and your helpful tips make the process so enjoyable. I appreciate you very much and watch your videos over and over.
I love this idea. I love that translucent look. The pinking shears are a nice touch. Makes them look more professional. I use glassine bags as pages in my journals for little pockets. Thanks for sharing.
I always make my own n just stamp on them n they turn out great as did urs,i luv them n so much nicer to make ur own,i makebmine usingbgreade proof paper cos it goes a long way, lived ur video thank u❤❤❤❤
My printer will print on vellum and tracing paper if I tack a sheet of normal photocopy paper to the back with a little washi tape. If that makes sense. 🤗🤗 and if that helps your mum or anyone else. TFS these cute bags.
Found you tutorial this week and made a couple of bags, love that I was able to print on tracing paper, also stamped as well. And yea no rules says the back as to be dead centre to glue to glue the sides.
I've probably already left a comment, but this video/idea is worth many!!! I watched one of your designers on a Ruby Tuesday video yesterday, and knew I had to make some of these! Just went through all my Ruby&Pearl digitals and selected the ones to use on the bags. Also had some tracing paper (hallelujah!) so the bags are just waiting to be put together tomorrow. You have such great ideas which are supported by your gorgeous digis. LOVE! And thanks for sharing your ideas!
Wow! I wish my printer would feed tracing paper. These are super divine! Especially liked the blue wallpaper one! I immediately loved it! Gorgeous! I'll stop now. Hugs.
I have trouble printing on tracing paper with my printer... so I put the tracing paper on top of a piece of copy paper and stick in place with a small piece of sticky tape in the centre top.. then print... works a treat... Love these Heather.. Cheers for sharing...
Heather these are fabulous! And your gorgeous digitals marry beautifully! I love printing on tissue paper so I know these will be added to my repitoire. TFS😘❤
Love these little bags. Perfect for gift giving. I had to laugh when you said you had gotten your next idea in the shower. I can relate ...its like my thinking tank. Lol. Take care Heather and thank you for this sweet project. Hugs and smiles from California 🥰
You are always inspiring us so! I am going to make some bags using copy paper with your holiday kits… then will spend time playing with tracing paper.. head is swimming with ideas! ❤
OH yay, something for me to do tonight. You're the best! :D I noticed the super cheap (regular printer) paper at dollar general is the best for printing off old letters and things like that from your shop. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the reminder and inspiration Heather....some times I forget things I learned when I first started Junk Journaling when I didn't have a a lot of supplies. What I use is Parchment paper and it is just as thick and went through my cheapy HP printer. I'm excited...thank you. (Irene )💚❤⛄☃
🧚🏻♀️Loved this video Heather! How amazing that we can make our own decorative faux glassine bags! The possibilities are endless! You have the best wallpaper prints, they’re so special! Thank you!😘
Thank you, Heather for sharing this awesome video. I immediately followed your lead and started printing away. Your digitals lend themselves to the most beautiful little bags!❤❤❤❤❤
Wow - simply beautiful Thank you so much for sharing your time with us, Heather. What a fantastic idea. I’ll be creating these today to fill with goodies. 🎀🤍❄️ I can see these being used for all kinds of things. How fun 🎀love your larger bags so simple and easy
You are so amazing because you really make thing that are kind of simple but they always turn out so so cute! You have a real talent for that! Thank you!💕
Oh. My. Goodness. These are just the cutest things to make, and I literally think you’ve started an obsession!! I don’t know how you decided which of your gorgeous printables to print first.
Thank you for this wonderful idea! Your bags look lovely! I tried my cheap tracing paper in my printer , it did not work. Then I thought I would try parchment paper and that work great!
Heather! What a beautiful project! Your printables are what make them so unique. Thank you for sharing this. Have to make some for my Christmas journals.
You can use the more expensive paper to print for transfers. Obviously you need to be really careful but you could turn the print over onto a piece of wood. The ink should come off in a lovely rustic way. Then seal. Just an idea.
Hello Heather, love your tracing paper bags, they are fabulous. Will have to get some tracing paper this weekend and try this, thanks for sharing this wonderful idea.

Thank you Heather. 🤩
Love what ya do ..... always beautiful
....for ink not to smear ,choose photo paper printing option....🏵🏵
This is a very cute idea! Love these!

Ok.. that is great to know! Thank you ❤️❤️
My tracing paper was too big. Thanks! I am going to try this!!
Great idea!!!
This is how I've been doing it also.
Very nice Heather. I sometimes use the side with the middle seam as the front if it's the prettiest side. 🧡
C'est vraiment super et bien expliqué. Merci et bonjour de France
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!....& why do we all adore the crinkle!?!?❤
Omg! After watching I ran to Michael’s and got that tracing paper, meanwhile I was praying my printer would take it! I had to cut down that tracing paper to letter paper size, and IT WORKED,!!! Thanks so much!! I love this❤
Great for envelopes , so am going to make those ,,thankyou xo

You could also use a circle punch to punch a half moon thumb area a the top of the bag like some professional bags have.
Hands up! And love these , hands down too!! I’ve made 10… so far!!! 😂

I just looked up tracing paper for kids. Hobby Lobby has it for 1.99. Woohoo. 2 bucks for paper. I'm there.

Love these bags and your ideas. Thank you for sharing.
Very pretty - and I also sometimes get inspirations while in the shower 😅😅
If you cut the front with your pinking shears when the paper is open as in not glued down it may be easier. Lovely idea
I loved these. I'm addicted to this great idea for crinkly bags🥰
I looove the big one! I love printing on different papers.
Wow! I wish my printer would feed tracing paper. These are super divine! Especially liked the blue wallpaper one! I immediately loved it! Gorgeous! I'll stop now. Hugs.

Just an idea if you haven’t thought about yet. On the large bags you could glue the front sheet down lower to get that effect of the other bags
Yes! We definitely love the Crinkle! 😁 Love these. Inspiration always arrives where I don’t usually have a note pad… in the shower and falling asleep!
I just found some of the kids tracing paper in my stash! You know I will be printing on it to make these really great bags! So fun - Thanks Heather! 💝
