Hey Guys, coming late to the party. Just want to point out you guys already reacted to a Grai Song 4 years ago: Grai - Песня мертвой воды (Patreon Request) [Reaction/Review] (6/01/2021). I wrote a comment in that video too. Grai is one of my favorite bands, they're from Russia and the meaning is something like "Bird's Cry". The band has some SICK growls and as i did in 4 years ago i'll do it again: Try the song 'Поступь зимы' or 'Tread of winter', is my favorite song from them and is Heavy as F*** with some sick growls. Abraços do Brasil meus amigos Lusófonos!
Happy new year gentlemen, this was an excellent song and I look forward to checking out some more of their songs. Thank you for sharing, have a lovely day.
Happy they found the way to your channel. I discovered them during lockdown time three years ago. One of the guys also does harsh vocals, of which you got just a small sample in the song.
@@APREACTS Seems I can't post links without the comment vanishing into nirvana, but check out ГРАЙ (GRAI) - Песня мертвой воды - the live version from about 6 years ago. It has a longer growls section without losing anything of what you liked about this song. The video link code is ZolP2EwHirs
Well, that's probably one of rare occasions that I heard about the band before you did ☺️. That's quite an old song. But a great one. Similar stile to Arkona.
Thank you so much for checking this track out. I personally think the violinist is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I need to move to the stans it seems. Glad you enjoyed it even after taking the piss out of half the band 😂😂
Not sure though how long she actually was in band. I saw few of their videos and she wasn't in all of them. But the flute lady is practically in all and she performs harsh vocals too.
You guys should check out SINS OF THY BELOVED. If not for the channel,do it for your own pleasure. A Nordic folk inspired metal band with female voices, violin and Draconian-like male growling, they are not active anymore but their ""Lake Of Sorrow"" album is a metal masterpiece.
I LIKE IT! I thought thery were Russian but they seem to me like Tatars. A part o a Soviet empire a long time go. If that is the case,""Grai"" means ""singing of the bird"'. Good stuff. Good music, folks!
Oh, but, Kirghizstan etc aren't slavic countries, these are asian countries, they are yellow-skinned and culture is closer to mongolian than slavic, but unfortunately some of those countries were in USSR, even if they didn't want to, but now mostly they are trying to get away from that soviet past. And that guy you said is portuguese, I think he's just mix of both white and yellow races. And throat singing is mongolian, not slavic, we don't use such vocal technique on Slavia. ;)
@toxicavenger9562 This band is from Russia. And he was saying about "slavic folk bands" from stans, so I just said all those countries with "stan" at the end aren't slavic.
Grai is a great russian band. I love their sound. Thanks for reviewing them.

Hi guys. :) Title of this song in english is "In the arms of Mara", Mara is slavic goddess of winter and death.
Wow. This is the exact song i get to know these guys.

They are outstanding, based on this song obviously, but a much better vibe than Arkona and I also like them, but this is more of my speed.

We were just having some fun with it.

@tamashii6670 sure, sure. No argument about that.
Grai (like in chai latte) means noise made by birds. Some kind of Katatonia rip-off? let's hear.
