- A few weeks ago Vivaia reached out to be and offered to gift me 2 pairs of shoes. In exchange for no additional financial payment, I would share with the Sixty and Me Community. I did some research, loved what I saw and agreed.
NOTE: You can receive a discount of 12% by typing CODE Sixty.
I chose 3 shoes that i knew would be ones I'd wear and love - but on the website you'll find so many more colours and styles!! Think pink, green, red, yellow and more!!!
Here are the shoes they sent me.

What really influenced me was the eco-friendly approach. Imagine slipping into a pair of shoes that not only look fantastic but also have a heart-warming story to tell. Well, that's exactly what you get with Vivaia! These aren't just your average shoes; they're like a cosy hug for your feet, a style statement, and a nod to the planet all rolled into one.
First things first, Vivaia is all about making sustainable fashion look effortlessly chic. These shoes are like the superheroes of the fashion world, made from recycled plastic bottles! Strange but true. Your everyday discarded plastic bottles have undergone a magical transformation and turned into fabulous, comfortable footwear.
But it doesn't stop there! Vivaia shoes are not just sustainable; they're also seriously practical. I got caught in the rain and the shoes got soaked? No worries! I could just toss the shoes in the washing machine, and voilà - they would be as good as new!
Now, let's talk style! Vivaia isn't just about being eco-conscious; they're also all about keeping you looking stylish and feeling comfortable. Their range of shoes is like a treasure trove of fashion-forward finds. Whether you love sneakers, a slip-on lover, or a fan of classic flats, they've got something to offer. .
So, if you're all about comfort, style, and saving the Earth one step at a time, visit vivaia.com and treat your feet.

I've ordered my first pair. I have a very odd shoe size so I'm hopeful these will be comfy. I love that they are made out of recycled plastic.
I hope so too! Don’t forget to use the code “sixty” for a discount 🌺❤️
I’ve been seeing their ads but didn’t know if they were for real or Chinese junk. Good to hear they are real.can’t afford them now but hopefully in the future
I’m already a Vivaia convert and love their shoes. I have a navy pair of Margot flats I’m wearing while travelling and they are super comfortable and lightweight- I will have to try their boots next because like you I like ankle boots too. Love my Vivaias❤
That’s great Susan - a reminder that the Riley does not have a zipper so for me they were a little hard to put on - might order a slightly larger size or one with a zip! Please use the discount code too if you do order! 🌺
@@sixtyandme thanks for the advice!
I purchased the ankle version and they were next to impossible to get on!
This is so timely! I’ve been wondering about these. TY!
Wow. Love all three… I’m gonna order all three ❤thanks Margaret for sharing…. Comfort at our age is nice…
I hope you love them! Don’t forget you can use the code “sixty” to get a discount :-) 🌺
Oh Margaret. This is so timely! I had the Riley boots in my Vivaia cart about two weeks ago but I didn't buy them because I was concerned they wouldn't be comfortable being made out of recycled plastic. You have calmed my fear and I will buy them now! Many thanks. Sending hugs from New York. Kathleen
Hi Kathleen. The Riley boots are beautiful. The only thing I would remind you if they do not have a zipper. So I think this is one boot that I would’ve bought a larger size in. Maybe half size. But they are beautiful and they’re super comfortable.
Also if you do order please don’t forget the discount code ‘sixty’ :-)
Thank you so much. I ended up ordering the Chelsea boots a few minutes ago. I also used the discount code sixty so the final amount was very reasonable. It also came with free shipping. Many, many thanks. Kathleen
@@SpOrt3yAj I hope you love them - I will check out the Chelsea too - I absolutely love their products! Let me know how you like them!! 🌺
Hello Margaret, new subie here. Love your content & will be binging on the past videos ❤🌹🌻
Welcome!!
I'm just the same as you, black flats comfort all the way xx
Love flat so much ...and the Vivaia are so comfortable = like wearing slippers.
Hi Margaret, I purchased the shorter Vivaia boot and was very impressed with the quality of these shoes…but I had to work so hard to get them on it just wasn’t worth it. Once on they were very comfortable and fit perfectly. I returned them because I just didn’t want the struggle of getting them on every time I wanted to wear them. Thank you for your review of this brand, I think I will be ordering the Mary Jane style soon using your code.
Thank you for your feedback. I used a shoe horn but agree they were not easy to put on. I have that feedback to Vivaia. They have now come out with a beautiful zip up ankle boot which is lovely. I feature it in an upcoming video - this Saturday
I have a lot of issues with my feet. Very wide, high instep, rigid big toe on one foot that doesn’t bend. I really can’t order shoes, I have to try them on in the store. But these do look very comfortable and I like the fact that they stretch. Yes Margaret, black flats are my dress shoes.
I have trouble with bony toe, narrow heel and arthritic forefoot. I’ve been eyeing these flats and if there’s a hood return policy maybe I’ll use the code and order. 🤞🏻
I have heard of those shoes before. They are nice.
Hi Margaret, this video is so timely I have been looking online at Vivaia shoes and contemplating getting the Margot's.....they look really flat tho are they ok to walk in being so flat and the heel is very minimal....yes, I know they are meant to be like that so just wondering if you feel the surface of the ground too much when walking in them??????...they are not cheap so if you could let me know the comfort value when walking around I would appreciate that!!!..thank you so much for showing them off they look amazing......from Margaret in South Australia,,
Hi Margaret, well everyone has a different experience, but i've worn my Margo shoes non stop for 2 weeks and even though i've described it feels like wearing slippers - they don't feel like you are walking on rough ground. I do to be honest wear an insole because of my ankle which does give some additional padding. Hope that helps. Margaret
I bought the Margo black flat over a year ago - but then, they didn’t include the pretty bow.😔 I am between sizes - 7 or 7 1/2. I ordered the 7 1/2 and they were a smidge too big - so they do run large. A really great shoe! 🙋♀️🇺🇸👍‼️
Thanks for that feedback Janet!
I've been eyeing them for months, but the cost seemed prohibitive. But since my closet is filled with heels I can no longer truly wear I gave it a shot and ordered a couple pair. Mirror neurons are powerful things.
It looks like a capsule wardrobe of flat shoes. Flats are all I wear. These remind me of actual ballerina shoes with the squared toe. Can you wear a wool sock with the boots you have or would you have to go up a size?
Nancy I have to be honest with you - for me, the boots need to be ordered at least one size bigger. The pair i got did not have a zipper which made it hard to put on. Either a larger size or one of their styles with a zip. I don't think thick wool socks will work with this style - its more of a fashion boot. Just telling it as i see it.
Hi Margaret, you're the second youtuber I'm subscribed to who has given this brand a positive review. I think I will try them but wondered if you would mind answering a question of mine before I order? I don't have particularly wide feet but I do have feet that are mixed in size (the front of my foot is a "b" width but my heel is a double "a", which can be tricky. So sometimes if the front fits well, the back will be too big and my heel will sort of flop out. From your - albeit brief - experience, do you think that would be an issue? Have you found it so?
Great review and appreciate the discount code!
You know Maureen i found the regular (not wide) version of the margot mary jane to be most comfortable because you can tighten the shoe width with the strap - that might address your issue. I have been absolutely amazed with how comfortable they are - just like wearing slippers!! s Thank you for your kind words about the review. I don't do many sponsorships and appreciate your positive comments.
@@sixtyandme Yes, I was actually thinking that the Mary Jane's could be just the ticket; thanks for your quick response :). Oh, no problem - no you certainly don't do many and I honestly have no objection to sponsored videos from the people I subscribe to. I only subscribe to people whose content fits my interests and - honestly - who I can relate to. You obviously have great integrity and you give us all great value and I think it's really nice that you can get some benefit from all you put in. I'm willing to bet almost all your regular subscribers trust you. Take care xo
Hi Margaret. ... I feel that the vivaia shoes wld be too expensive for most women on a fixed income. I love the concept of these shoes however. Coldwater Creek has similar shoes for much less money. I have several pairs of them. They don't have all the bells and whistles of vivaia but are very comfortable. Also I can't locate any pics of you wearing the shoes. 😊
Thanks for sharing!! I took a look and the similar Coldwater Creek shoes are actually more expensive. The entire business model is different however, since Vivaia is all about making a sustainable shoe recycled from used plastic bottles. But I am very sensitive to the issue of affordability.
@@sixtyandme Margaret .. the shoes I'm referencing at Coldwater Creek are called the Glee Flats by walk with me. They are $49.95. Don't know what you were referencing.
@@carolbratton7305there is a wide range but the ones I saw were leather flats www.coldwatercreek.com/shoes/flats/%22the-lu%22-leather-flats-by-nida-lu-handmand/22775.html?cgid=shoes-flats&dwvar_22775_color=0001#start=5&cgid=shoes-flats
Unfortunately, I who live in Australia, can't buy them because they are very expensive in Australian Dollars. They range in price from $156.00 to $239.00 !!
Is it the price of the shoes are including shipping. This is very good feedback for them.
Hi Margaret :} It appears that in Australia, shoes that are between AUD156.00 and AUD190.00, do not come with free shipping, so you would have to add that onto the price, but if you purchase shoes for AUD191.00 or more, only then is shipping free. In general this cost is not what you would call affordable for the average woman. Also, shoes from VIVAIA in Australia, start at AUD156.00 and one of these are slippers!! @@sixtyandme
For some reason the photos of you wearing them never showed up at the end.
Yes, apologies. I couldn’t find an easy way to take pictures of my self standing in the shoes. There’s some beautiful pictures on the website though, so you can check those out and see what they look like on real people. :-)
A little expensive here in Canada. I was thinking to try it but for this kind of money probably will look for better quality shoes. But the boots look intriguing but starting at $200 plus tax and shipping 🤨
wow that is good feedback to give to Vivaia - thanks Pearl
Margaret I just noticed they claim shipping is free but it is still pricey 😊
Fascinating. Were they waterproof when you walked in the rain?
Yes definitely waterproof - they’ve honestly become my favorite shoe!
@@sixtyandme thank you. I've had a thorough look the website and I'm impressed. They're gorgeous.
😊
How are they recycled after worn out.?....plastic will presumably go to landfill eventually?
I asked this question too Jill and they are a new company planning to set up recycling stations but at the moment they have no plan in place since they are an online shop only. I think what they are doing is a good start but agree the circle needs to be completed. Thanks for asking.
you forgot to put the pics of you wearing them...
My latest second video on Vivaia shows does have pictures.
I want these so bad, but they need to come in size 12. I returned the 11s.
That is great feedback for them! Thanks
Do they run true to size?
In my opinion, yes they do. I’m a 39 European on all my shoes, and these were exactly the same. Quick note that the ankle boots without a zipper are really hard to get on. I would not advise buying those.
I like your hair a bit longer like that, Margaret. Rosemarie 🩷
Oh thank you!
I like you in your longer hair as well! Very attractive on you.
I like that wee pic of you up in the right corner where you have bags. I can’t see it clearly but it seems to look like a younger style.
But you look lovely either way!
OMG! The curse of my typing on this silly contraption (cell phone) has struck again! Lol! I was trying to type “bangs” NOT “bags”!
