Great video! Yes the Walther Q4 is super accurate. Standing unsupported, from 25 yards, I shot 5 rounds, slow fire into a Army L 5" diameter bullseye target, and the total group size measured 1.75" !!
Great review. Bought this gun and loved it so much that i made it my EDC. With the right holster and right belt it’s not an issue despite its weight-although I don’t plan on running it as my summer EDC. It’s nice to have a carry fun that is literally my favorite handgun to shoot.
I have shot many striker fired pistols over the years and the Q4 SF is one of the best striker fired pistols I have ever shot. It’s heavy, but it fits my hand perfectly and the weight is why I shoot it so well. I was lucky to find a mint used one with one mag and an optic ready model for $700 which I quickly grabbed. Beautiful well built German pistol, like a panzer tank.
Q4 SF is my EDC (concealed). Winchester Ranger 127gr +P+ 9mm gets 1250fps in this 4” barrel, and is imminently smooth and precise in rapid fire. Heavy? Sure it is! And it is a comforting and comfortable weight. It is a REAL fighting pistol.
Wow 1,000 rounds through a walther thats like saying you inserted the mag and racked the slide back lol a gun like walther is able to go through 10x that especially the rifling it uses is much better than other pistols use . It is nice to see other walther sf fans
Just bought this and while I have many high end firearms including Atlas, Nighthawk, and many CZs and I was shocked by how amazing the Q4 shoots and most importantly how easy the follow up shots are. I am going to substitute this for my Fire4Effect Shadow 2 in my next USPSA CO match and see what happens. My only concern is the mag size.
Went amazingly well considering that it presents, swings and the muzzle rises completely differently. Not sure it will completely replace my CZ but I really love shooting “Bertha” (my name for the Q4 - cause she is quite a lot of woman). I do think 4” is better than longer and while the trigger is wonderful I still love hammer fired guns and with a tuned DA there is little downside to starting in DA. For now it’s still a wait and see. I’ll run it in a few more comps (btw, it doubles as my nightstand HD gun after hanging a light on it)
Excellent review of this pistol and being a Walther fan boy next on my list. Frankly do not understand why not cleaning a new gun is a measure of reliability. I hear this frequently in reviews and do not agree. It is always recommended that a new firearm be thoroughly cleaned and lubed prior to shooting.I think you will agree after a thousand rounds its time to clean that great pistol.
Do you notice when shooting it the slide stop doesn’t catch on the last round? This happens to me on my PDP. I have to adjust my grip for this pistol. Any comments or suggestions would greatly help. Thanks
very nice and informative review of the walther q4 sf. I like the holosun you have on there with big circle and a dot. which model holosun was it? kindly let me know at your earliest convenience. Thank you
I think the weight killed it for me. It's only 4 oz lighter than a q5 SF. How is that even possible? The q5 is comparable to the Sig X5 Legion. I would have thought the q4 SF would stack up nicely against a Sig AXG, which clocks in 10 oz lighter around 31oz. Both being carry size guns.
@@noirAtYTjust went to the range today!! This by far is my favorite 9mm…I put 210 rounds through it with the factory lube me zero malfunctions..I ran 124 grain ball; 115 grain Blazer Brass, 20 rounds of federal HST 124 grain, 20 rounds of 124 Grain Sig V Crown, and Hornady Critical Duty 20 rounds…it ate everything..and it soft shooting. It’s a keeper especially for $899

I have the Q5 SF. Put the comp trigger with a spring kit. The gun is amazing. Plan on getting the Q4 now.
Got a Q5 SF. Love it.
Great review man
...and on the up side of things. If ya run out of ammo, you can always use it as an improvised weapon and YEET the dang thing!

I am a fan of the Walther GmbH lineup of handguns 😎
I love the PDP but it's way too lightweight for my tastes.
the Q4 SF with a PDP slide would be perfect.
Yup a high vis front sight is a must on this model. Not sure why the q5 has a fiber optic but this one has a blacked out front.
I have one i carry doing security, i had to modify one of my safailand holster, it’s a great pistol just heavy to carry all day
Looks badass

How did it go ? Very interested in this and also looking at the shadow 2. Which do you like best ?

I get mine in the mail this Friday! When you were using the Holoson, did you use the Walther supplied plate or aftermarket?

I wholeheartedly agree, the big reason to not clean is to test out worse case scenario
They don't call the PPQ "sniper pistol" for nothin'.

Good to hear on the review, as I just picked one of these bad boys up. Dude hardly even shot it, looks brand new. My gain his loss…
I wish they’d bring this out with the P99 DA/SA system.

Add the 10oz BRASS grips from LOK to the SIG P320 AXG frame and the pistol weights are the same.
I just got the FN 509c MRD it’s very similar but that steal frame is everything
Sweet! Pistol. Another one on my add list, for sure
Just got this gun for $899 brand new from PSA on clearance 😮
update me on your first range trip pls

Personally, (Jim here) for modern pistols, the Beretta Billenium, Glock 19x and the Walther PPQ steel frame.
Why would you get this gun and what role would it fill?
Home defense/carry optics competition gun. As far as why, I think the question is "Why not?".
Why not? No way! Get a CZ Shadow 2 for your money and you will be much happier.
is this a review or a AD?
concealed carry??? are you nuts?
Why not?
Eat much, train even more. Don’t be that lady-like “progressive” creature (well, unless you ARE a lady :)). There are even SMGs for concealed carry.
@@donio8194 maybe because it’s too heavy? IDK - looks gorgeous
I just got a new one. Total crap. Fails to extract 75% of the time. Totally unusable
Yikes! Call Walther ASAP. Definitely not been my experience at all.
