Why doesn't this video have 20M views? This man swings like there's no tomorrow. I wish it was a full lesson, but I'm very happy that I found this!
I mean, man this is totaly unrealistic…. He plays the bass with the thump
❤🇨🇷
@@salvofranco1350Is that supposed to be a bad thing??? It sounds amazing and you know it.
@@SilkyMilkyOriginalI guess it was meant to be taken as a joke
Amen 🙏
Holy! This needs to be a real lesson. That was insane
man, this is the realest fucking lesson
^ what he said
@@moldyjames439yea i just learned i gotta practice from a difference source😂
When I first saw this video i heard it on repeat for hours. This mans technique is something special to say the least
God, I wish I could play like that!
This was a better lesson in 2 minutes than any other video I’ve watched to learn the groove of James Brown. He said all you need to know. Feel it and apply.
Incredible, the riff itself is simple, but the way he adds the bass in there takes it to a whole new level. Being able to keep that rhythm and stretch the thumb like that is truly challenging. This man could fill for the bass player with that skill
I play bass. I am amazed at how you use your thumb to bass the tune up. Nice content.😊😊 I like your channel.😊😊 keep plucking brotha. 😊😊
Gracias my friend
🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
uhh... then the bass... then the lick... so good!
Excellent. Got the nice Lace Sensors on that Stratocaster too.

Only 10k views??? That is UN-USUUUAAALLL! I gotta get me a guitar haha
I think you are amazing and you are the only person I have found who does not play The kind of music that I love without a pick. I’m teaching my 11-year-old son and he does not want to use a pic but I love to play Nile Rogers licks, and I wanted to ask your opinion if you think it’s possible to play that fast or even just a play clean clean chords, without using a pick because I just don’t see how? I love James Brown, and everything that you like, and I see strumming and Drumming, where you can play the bass line on the Low E chord with your thumb, or pretend it’s a snare, and use the acoustic body for the main percussion. Do you just grow your nails real long what do you do? Could you switch to a pic if you needed, or is it too hard at this stage of your life?
"i tell you m.s., it's been a long journey for sure! my roots of playing are big band influenced. when playing that genre, you mainly hold down the rythum of the entire 20+ piece band by giving them a 2/4 chunk of rythum! to me, it's real important to have a basic foundation in playing guitar. i developed my style of play by just playing, that being said, i can't keep fingernails(smile)! i could grab a pick but i don't like the feel of something between me and my axe. i admire those who do, some of my favorite bass players use a pick, but i feel the same way about playing the bass too. i get saved by my callouses i've developed through the years and i go to sleep and wake-up playing so my fingernails don't have a chance!(smile)
what's most important is that playing is fun to your son and if he's allowed like i was to develope his natural-abilities to play, it will help make the decision pick or not for him. thank you for listenin' my friend...😎🎶
