I am so glad she is doing well and enjoying herself and what a lovely personality she has, as for the complainers, remember a voice is not like a guitar that can be fixed, she has to make do with all the years of forcing and straining her voice, and considering she is doing very well and entertaining the crowd, she is an Icon, I am thrilled to see that she has survived and giving it all, she should be appreciated not trashed.

Gosh, that's quite depressing. I do indeed wish him a quick recovery, for he was my all time favourite drummer, my second favourite member of the band after shirley(of course), and simply a down to earth person....

Was there, great set. I agree the crowd wasn't the best but in fairness it was gone midnight and I put it down to people being tired or just not pacing themselves over what is always a long day!!

Just got tickets for Blondie and Garbage 2021 concert in the UK selling out already.
I remember the Edith Bowman interview .Glastonbury 1995. Garbage was just getting recognition. Was great to see. Love you and the band still Shirley!!!
Wasn't Glasto 95. Garbage hadn't even played live then, there firtsf show was in Nov 95. It was Reading in 1998 :) Shirley and Edith think it was Reading 96, but Edith posted the Polaroid on her insta after this and its defo from 98 when Garbage headlined. Garbage never played Glasto until 2002.

I was at the tour warm up gig in Cambridge the night before this one. It was stellar, one of the best gigs I've seen. They don't seem to be quite so up for it here though...
I was there too! Smallest venue I've ever seen Garbage but it was fantastic. Agreed that this one feels a bit off. I saw them in Barcelona at a festival a fortnight later and it was as good as Cambridge.

I can hear the absence of butch...the drummer they are using in the performance is good, just professional...there is not much fantasy in playing...it's like 45% of the band is missing! But god Shirley is absolutelly one of the best famale singer & performer...i think that they are little underated...

I heard Butch is having health concerns. Is that Steve who usually plays bass on drums and who is playing bass?
It's Matt Walker who used to play with Smashing Pumpkins. He's covered for Butch in the past, back in 2002 and in 2016. He knows the material well.
Eric Avery is playing bass. He's been their tour bassist since 2005. He's a founding member of Janes Addiction and used to play with Alanis. He's a great guy, I took him on a walk round Glasgow a few years back.

It's Edith Bowman, she used to be on MTV and BBC Glastonbury interviews now does radio mostly.

The band is great, as usual, but what’s the matter with the audience? Are they all asleep? Garbage is rocking the place with high energy songs, but the applause is lukewarm at best. They don’t deserve to be there.
It was gone midnight when they hit the stage and I think a lot of people were tired. I wasn't, I was going mental about half way back! Great set, awesome night!!!
