This was really insightful and really happy you spoke up about misleading ads for sunscreens. As someone who is medium tan-tan skin tone, it’s annoying to constantly pick up a sunscreen with that claim and then it’s purple on me 😣
I got the Dr. Dennis Gross sunscreen after I saw your Insta post. I'm interested in trying the Native one too! Hearing that there was no whitecast on Keeping Up With BB makes me super excited ~~ its really hard for me to find mineral sunscreens that don't leave a heavy cast on me.
It's such a struggle. I can't believe Native made a sunscreen with such a high percentage of zinc and no white cast....it's almost concerning because it just doesn't feek or look like sunscreen at all. Haha. But I did notice that Native removed the unscented face sunscreen from their website, but the pineapple scented one is available still.

The Dr Dennis Gross one just seems like it would be so perfect for me in ingredients, texture and finish!! I wish it was more affordable though :(( maybe if i can i'll try it once in the future!
Thanks for trying these for us! I also have extremely sensitive skin to chemical formulas so I've had to switch to mineral only. I'm in Canada, and the two I've found and loved are the supergoop tinted zinc screen, and the Josie Maran untinted sunscreen.

Great video! I felt pretty much the same about all of these sunscreens-and have really really disliked the Supergoop one. Honestly, I have a very love/hate relationship with their products, so it’s not surprising. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’m glad I’m not alone! I’ve always found their products just *slightly* miss the mark for me. I think they shine with their chemical formulas but I can’t use those.
I have to agree, this sunscreen is amaizng I have the coconut and Pineapple and it’s absolutely amazing, even though mines is scented mom had no issues with this one burning her mature sensitive rosacea skin, it was amaizng.. you do need to work blending it abit because like you said it does dry fast but over all for a Zinc 20% is beast🔥💯
This was super helpful! I also get a really horrible rash when I use chemical sunscreens, and the itching lasts for a solid week. I was interested in the native one but wasn't sure if the scent would be too much - fragrance doesn't bother my skin, just my nose 😅. I can't use the Australian Gold because the scent on my face is just nauseating, but no one else seems to have that complaint but me...
The native one looks a lot like the discontinued Purito comfy water block, which was so whipped and easy to blend too 😭 but i hope the spf of the native is actually true this time!!
GIRL. This was informative! Bit fan of Cotz myself (the Prime & Protect works better for me than Flawless Skin). Also...Native is super intriguing to me now.

Being that you have to wear a good amount of sunscreen everyday, I'm always on the hunt for the best mineral face sunscreen for the best value (that also won't break out my sensitive skin of course). The best I have found so far is Pipettte, but it is soooo dewy. I would love to hear any other recommendations that you may have!

Great video Kait! I'd love to see more spf comparisons here on UA-cam if you can. I no longer have an IG account so I can't really see your content there. I too have issues with chemical sunscreens and even some mineral ones. They're usually too heavily scented, heavy feeling on the skin where I feel like my skin can't breathe, leave a white cast on my medium skin tone, or they make my normal to dry skin breakout horribly! The struggle is real finding the one but I'm currently loving both versions from Saie and the Kinship one. I recently saw one from a brand called Solara, have you tried any from them? I believe they have 3 different versions.

Was wondering if you could review the MDSolarSciences (both untinted and tinted) and Oil of Olay Regenerist mineral sunscreen. I currently use all 3 of these and was hoping to get your take on them!
I’ve tried the whole line of the MD Solar mineral sunscreens back in the day but they made me too oily. The silicone slip feeling just made my makeup slide right off. But I did love them besides that! The Olay sounds really good though! I like the ingredient list. Will definitely buy when I use up some that I currently have!
Another great review video!! Not sure why but the native sunscreen makes me so greasy.. I was really excited for it. I even bought the “body” sunscreen in hopes to use it on my face too since the formula is basically the same. If the face one makes me so greasy I can only imagine what the body one will do lol.
Have you tried Coppertone Free & Clear? It seems right up your alley. It does have a white cast, but I really really enjoy it and you may have good luck with it too!
I thought about buying it but I'm confused about what it is and I'd like to try it on my hand in stores first. If it's fairly tinted, I wouldn't use it as my main source of sunscreen, and they also don't make a shade for me. The shade that looks like it would be my match seems far too yellow. I have a hard time ever finding shade matches so I'm waiting to see reviews!
I was so hoping for you to test the supergoop matte screen or the cc screen in this video because they are also 100% mineral and have higher SPF (which I always prefer for face). Was there a reason you only decided to go for the sheer screen?
Yes it's because the Sheer screen is new and the CC screen and matte screen aren't. This was a video reviewing new launches (with the exception of Cocokind.) I've owned both the Supergoop matte screen and cc creams in the past and I don't like either of them personally.
@@StateofKait I like it but it does take a bit to rub in and is probably white casting. They are apparently changing that and making it unscented though. I would like to try the cocokind one though.
@@melissamacneil4519 I did confirm today that both me and my boyfriend’s mom get a white cast with cocokind, but again, I have friends with much deeper skin who love it. Just wanted to add that disclaimer!

Same here, I prefer SPF 50. Native said the unscented face sunscreen is currently out of stock but the pineapple is still available currently.

Native has a fragrance-free! That's the one I use!

The Purito comfy water block pilled on me a lot and left a white cast - the Native is even better!

Try out the body one! The skin on our bodies tend to be tougher than the skin on our face, so I’d give it a go and see what happens :)
Did you ever determine if cocokind breaks you out? I’m not sure if it’s breaking me out, I really like it otherwise
I didn't because I hated the white cast so much that I stopped using it
