I think Susan got a white cast with the Supergoop sunscreen because she used the appropriate amount. Even I get a white cast with that sunscreen even though I have pale, pale, paleeeee skin.
Your definitely right she had to of used way more. I have a white cast on every single mineral sunscreen I have ever used. I literally stoped wasting money on them and I don't wear them anymore. I can't even count how many I tried.
I always measure my sunscreens to 1/4 tsp when trying them out. All mineral sunscreens always give me white cast, even the ones people swear on their mother's grave. I've found that people generally under-apply mineral sunscreens by a lot. You even see Terrell rubbing in very thin layers at a time and "rubbing it in" aka "rubbing it off".
The MM team did a great job here! You're a natural in front of the camera, Terrell. I'd love more of these videos, showing various skincare items (not just sunscreen) on various skin types. BUT, it'd be super helpful if, in the corner of each person's video, there be something that says their skin type/concerns.
omg. props to terrell for dealing with that ashy tinted sunscreen lmaoo. my skin type is more medium tan but i totally relate with his skin type, i have almost the exact same preferences with sunscreen (my fave is olay regenerist mineral spf30, biossance spf, and supergoop zinc screen). he seems like a joy to be around, looking forward to more videos starring him :)
I agree with Carly, mineral sunscreen just gives me the paranoid feeling of my pores being clogged. I also find that mineral sunscreen feels like it's melting off my skin. I think it's just sweat dripping over the layer of sunscreen but then I want to wipe at the sweat and that just wipes off my sunscreen. I'll stick to chemical ✌🏼🔆
I feel the opposite....😅 I have acne and im kinda paranoid with chemical spfs because i feel like almost every one has alcohol or something that will irritate my skin and make me breakout....i try to use mineral ones cause they are for sensitive skin but i also struggle to find the right one...i've used Avene mineral tinted (its hydrating but not greasy) and now im using Nívea mineral ( its a little too hydrating for summer but i havent found another one...)😘

I’m not of a deeper complexion but this is the kind of video I have wanted to see! Seeing people paint a broad brush as to how sunscreens will work across skin tones without any evidence is frustrating. I’m so glad to see Terrell have his own series on MM and get his perspective in this video and future videos 🤗

For the next video with mineral sunscreen, measure the amount of sunscreen for each person. With a measuring spoon or something like that. So it can be exactly the same.

Awesome Video! As someone with lots of hyperpigmentation/melasma AND being medium dark skin appreciated seeing polar opposite skin tones and different types of skin types. Having 4 people with different skin tones try out the same product was interesting, and the results were unexpected. I want to see more of this kind of review.
I started using the Eleven mineral sunscreen/serum from Venus Williams and WHEW CHILE. Game changer. It’s expensive af, but no white cast/no purple skin and it feels so light on my skin. I have tried them all, but this one works for my medium-dark skin.

I find it funny that people think mineral sunscreen is not for acne prone skin. I get feeling a layer that bothers people. However, the zinc oxide in mineral sunscreen actually dries out pimples. Also, chemical sunscreens need to be oil soluble to mix the actives and often feel greasier. Chemical sunscreens go on smooth for sure, but doesn't mean they don't aggravate acne prone or oily skin.
My favorite mineral sunscreen is from Bare Republic! You can find it at target, and it feels SO SOFT!! It literally feels like you're putting on whipped cream on your face even though it's not whipped. It doesn't leave a white cast either since I'm tanned skinned
Loving the green top and curls on you, T! And the soft look is BOMb! Ok I love a good Chemical Sunscreen - hate chancing it with Minerals and so true that it starts off as a powder and hard to make it work on our skin. Thankfully I haven’t had issues with ChemSunScr on my skin, so I stick to that! Oh and the editing of this video is hilarious.

I've gotten a lot of different sunscreens and have tried out so many! it's very interesting to see how different it looks on all skin colors and how it looks on similar skin colors! there have been a couple of times when I say an absolute, "YES!" to a sunscreen or a definite, "😬😬😬😬." love you guys! x
Great video! The mineral sunscreen struggle is real. I recently started using the C’est Moi Sunshine mineral sunscreen and really like it. It’s not gonna be for everyone (very emollient) but there’s something for everyone out there. Can’t wait for the next video!

The fair/light is a tad to light & the med gave me more of an orangey tint. So I just stick with the fair/light blends in nice after my moisturizer. Thank you!

Love this style of video!!! Yes I would love to see more sunscreen videos 👍🏽! I have a medium to deep skin tone and always react to chemical sunscreens. The struggle is real finding a sunscreen that matches my skin tone whilst not giving me a bad skin reaction! I love this channel and can always find the answers I am looking for here 👏🏾🤗! I already use the supergoop mineral sheer screen (slight white cast) I love the texture and spreadability. I also use the Elta MD UV restore tinted, the tint is too light for me but once again the texture and spreadability is fantastic for my dry/sensitive skin. I will test out the other two you all reviewed and comment back with my thoughts! Thanks again for putting such helpful content out there 💗!
