Hello Monty, I started watching Philippine UA-cam videos when I was 49 years old. I added a few UA-camrs on My Facebook and right away I got about 200 Filipinas sending Me friend requests. Most of Them were Scammers trying to get money from Me. But about five of Them were very nice Ladies. One Beautiful Young Lady always was just Happy to talk online as a Friend and never asked Me for anything. I talked to many Ladies for about five years. But I kept talking to Lucy on and off this whole time too. Finally I figured out that I was looking for Lucy this whole time but I always thought that She was to Young and Beautiful for Me. Fast forward to August 2022 . Lucy was My online Girlfriend for about 14 months now. I went to the Philippines to Meet Lucy in Mindanao. We got Engaged during My visit with the permission of Her Parents. In June 2023, We met again in Cebu and traveled together from Cebu to Bohol and then back to Mindanao. I am now 56 years old and Lucy is 31 years old. I am working on Her K1 Visa now to bring her to America. Take care.

Having a child, if the expat can afford it financially and otherwise, is a good way to solidify a relationship, especially if the man hasn't had the opportunity before to build a family, because the child(ren) will be your closest family in the future, as you take care of them now, they will hopefully do the same for you, instead of relying on strangers to take care of you, not necessarily full-time, but just having someone that you share DNA with to be there when you need them.

Solid advice from an experienced expat.
What I've learned about the Philippines so far has been from watching UA-cam I realise it's not the same as living there but it's a good start.
I think the biggest lesson is to
Know what you are looking for
Take your time and don't make hasty decisions
Remember you are in another country as a guest. Be respectful.
That gives you a solid foundation.

I am 60 and my Filipina girlfriend is 20 years younger than me at 39. I have visited her twice in person and things have been going seemingly well for the past two years. I will have to continue working in the USA while my kids are growing up.
Movie night sounds like fun, as long as there is a variety of good movies from different genres. If Tagalog, hopefully with English subtitles. I am learning Tagalog and Ilocanos. But, I have a long way to go to be comfortable speaking at the conversation level. I know the basic words.

    • @crewfamilyphilippines
      @crewfamilyphilippines  Рік тому +3

😂 they talk over the movie so it really doesn’t matter what language it’s in 🤣😂 I know English and Spanish and so many words are in Spanish it makes it easier to understand Tagalog but it’s a little different and the accent is confusing as well 😊

Hey Monty. Great video and you make many good points. I make it a rule I don't send money to some I just met online. Another thing guys should be doing is video calls to see if the person matches the pictures on their FB or what they sent you. A lot of guys talk to guys and send pics of pretty girls but won't do a video call so you can see who you are talking too. I have been chatting to girls from the Philippines for 20 + years online and heard so many stories. They don't always come out and ask for money but hint with little stories and then once you offer to send money then they always ask. Sadly the bads one make it bad for the good ones who want a serious relationship and are willing to share everything together.

Very good advice! Im coming in December for 2 months and my rule is no online dating. To each their own, but i want to meet ladies the old fashioned way seeing them doing their day to day activities in normal life. Is it "harder" to do it that way, yes. But if im going to be with someone the rest of my life the last thing i want to do is find her the "easy way". Thanks again for another great video 👍👍

Just found out I wasn't subscribing yet. I thought I had been a subscriber for ages! I immediately corrected that, as I like your videos. You know what worries me most about large age gap relationships, Monty? The thought that there's going to be a day when things don't go well anymore in the bedroom (could be because of heart problems, pulmonary problems, diabetes, ... thinks that you can get when you are getting old). If at that time you are with a woman in her 30s or 40s, can you expect her to stay faithful? I don't think so! They have their needs, just like we did when we were their age. I think about that a lot. I mean: right now things are still working, but what about in 10 years time? Maybe you can shed a light on that aspect of large age gap relationships.

I met my pinay wife on a dating site. She was working in Singapore. We talked everyday. Later that year, she went home to the Phils for Christmas. I flew to Davao and she brought her entire family, some100 miles, to greet me. After Christmas, we flew to Singapore and I stayed until the end ofJan. We planned to get married, but Covid put that on hold. We still message on Viber and use Whatsapp to talk 2-3 times a day. We got married in Valencia City in Aug of 2022. Since then I went to Singapore in 2023 and the Pinas for this past Christmas to be with her and family. We are waiting for her US Visa. Meanwhile, after we meet in France this summer, we will live in Davao until her visa comes. We have been a couple for over 5 years. She will be 35 this Feb and I am 79.

Good advice. I so not will not associate with expats as have so many of that type of men in the states. When I started learning tagalog. Found it sure helped . I always spent time in gyms and do here. I did woodworking so rented a shop for that and store our motorcycles. Wife's parents live over 2 hours from Cebu City in the province and they love it. She is 40 no children 31yeare younger than myself. We spend time at the beach or in mountains even skinny dipping in a lake and camping there.
We met on a dating site 2 half years before we met. That one thing there was no money involved. Neither of us have children. She wants a baby which we discussed and great for me.

Yes Sir, it seems like it has gone out the window. Just like romance when my ex wife left and went with her new man. He called me a few months later and said that she was complaining that he wasn’t romantic and he said that he would pay me to tell how to be romantic with her. I told him if you’re in your 50s and don’t know how to be romantic then you’re probably not going to learn now and I’m definitely not going to teach you 😂🤣

    • Security is one of the most important things to most women. Even more so to Filipinas. That's one reason younger girls prefer older men. Most younger Filipinos act like butterflies and girls are sick of it.
    • Yes, most Filipinas want a family. But, one of the biggest reasons they want children is old age security. These women live in extended families. So, they have been brought up with the notion that children will take care of oldie parents. And, most do. We used to be like that in the US, but now we get sent off to die in nursing homes, etc. I like the extended family way.

I appreciate your thoughts ..your a older guy. I’m in a more modern middle class City relationship..the older perspective with a province girl is at odds with modern relationships..and I count filapino’s in that statement. Your in the archetypal older guy …Provençal relationship …good luck to everyone …I’m of the opinion we are part of a crew ..look after all …if you have the opportunity.
