Wow! You have an amazing Dolly collection.😀 I also bought that Jolene reissue and I think it sounds great too. I have always loved Dolly and even had the Dolly Parton barbie as a little girl. 🤗♥️ Take care.
Awesome collection Brian, Dolly is wonderful and in many ways for as famous as she is, I would still argue she is underrated. I love that you collect her albums and I always enjoy the diversity of your collection my friend!
Killer collection Brian. Think it's hard to find her 60's and 70's in the US, it's harder to get them here in Australia since those albums never came out here. Sure hope Dolly puts out her three Bluegrass albums on vinyl, she's leaving plenty of money on the table
I imagine it's near impossible to find some of those Dolly albums in Australia. Most are pretty easy to find in the southern US, but not where I am. I only have three left I think... sadly two of the three are super expensive.
@@BriansVinylRecords I'm heading to the South early next year, will just spend a day going to various record stores like I did in 2019, I just wasn't into Dolly to get them
The Pickwick compilations (there were four of them, released between 1972 and '76) originally appeared on RCA-Camden, RCA's budget label, and later were licensed to be re-released on Pickwick somewhere around 1978. for the HERE YOU COME AGAIN album, it first came out during the fall of 1977 with a different version of "Two Doors Down", but in early 1978, after the song "Here You Come Again" reached the top ten on the pop charts, Dolly decided to rerecord "Two Doors Down" in a much more slick pop arrangement, and release that as the next single (with "It's All Wrong But It's All Right" as side B for a double-A sided single), and have it replace the original version on all subsequent album pressings. If your HERE YOU COME AGAIN copy has the original version of "Two Doors Down" (it sounds very different from the "hit" version that most people are familiar with), you have an original pressing of the album. (If you have the more familiar version, you have a later pressing.) Just thought these details would be of interest to you, if you weren't already aware.
