Ewers is the starter people, Manning and his family who by the way has experience at every level of the game knows what they got themselves into. He’s prepared to sit and for the non Texas fans who know nothing about the team, this performance is proof of his development when everyone was calling him a bust 6 months ago
His spring game really confirmed the talent and how much he’s already developed since being at Texas. And I believe he red shirted so next season when he gets the job he’ll technically be a sophomore 😅 so that’s potentially 2 years of his production
Ewers is the starter but lose one game or have a close call or poor performance by Ewers and you will hear it loud and clear. We live in a different world today. Not saying it is right........just reality.
Texas has a date in Ann Arbor at the beginning of the season. This QB debate means absolutely nothing if the Longhorns are not prepared to stop Donavon Edwards and that Michigan run. We already know that the Wolverine defense will be up to the task for dealing with either one of those QBs. Is the Texas defense prepared to go into the Big House and deal with Sherrone Moore calling 50 straight running plays, like he did at Penn State?
The above situation is exactly what's going to happen. Michigan has the best offensive line in the country. With Donavon Edwards and now the added run threat of Alex Orji at QB, this is a tall order for the Longhorns to deal with.
@@JohnLougheed-d8i What offensive line? Don't they only have one returning starter? If anything, Michigan will have to deal with Texas' offensive line returning all but one starter from last year. The guy at RT for Texas is a stud too.

This is such a stupid argument. Go back to the spring game last year. Maalik Murphy literally it up. How many of the controversy people attended all the practices this spring? Exactly. None of you. It was a spring game. Relax The same people who are praising Arch were the same that said he was overrated because of his name and if his last name was Smith, he would have been a 3 star. Arch loves Texas. Arch loves Sark. He will play this year. But don’t get it twisted, this is Ewers teams.
Well, let's see. Texas beat the team that won the SEC last year by double digits in their house. So, it's not as far fetched as you might think. Oh, BTW, Texas also beat GA the last time they played in a bowl game.
Prediction: Manning will be starter by end of year. Think back to Super Bill Bradley and backup James Street (who started his career at Texas as a seventh stringer) in the 1968-69 season. That season, there was absolutely zero talk of a quarterback controversy at the beginning of that season. Street, a baseball pitcher and small for football, came in and won 20 consecutive games. Turned out, he was the difference between winning a national championship and not. Ewers is really good, much better than Bill Bradley was, but Manning looks better than him according to my eye test - and I doubt I’m alone.

Manning
Ewers, no replacement for experience

Manning
Quinn wins Heisman !!
I don’t personally think he does but if he finishes the season healthy he definitely gets an invite to NY
The highest paid player in CFB and we cant even see him play
that’s shedeur sanders and travis hunter but manning is a close 3rd

yes there 100% is. if Quinn does subpar vs a much lesser Michigan team, RRR and vs UGA right afterwards you can start Archie to avoid a skid downwards
