Man if that ball was just a little lower we would’ve played for a natty but heck of a year. 4/5 OL returning, Blue and Baxter + Bolden / Cook / Bond / Golden at WR? Quinn’s time to cook the SEC!
Got me feeling all kinds of what ifs. What if J Whitt stayed up on that deep shot to put Texas ahead by 1 in the sugar bowl and from a Stat perspective what if he didn’t get hurt against Houston. I hope he completes a full season next year and lights it up with a new group of weapons 🤘🏻
Quinn has a very inconsistent throwing motion, decent deep ball but he misses over the middle a lot and struggles with accuracy. Looks like AOC already.
@@cobrakaikarateYTO-line actually held up, Jones ran into at least three sacks. Just ridiculous. Giants could potentially have a top 20 offensive line if they have good QB play. Beats being bottom 32 lol.
@@santinobambino5795 yeah quinn would do just fine with that ol. and him nabers. wandel. hyaat. and slayton if he is still there. hate jones all you want but he might be are ticket to quinn
No. He's not a flashy QB and he doesn't make any off schedule plays. If his first read is open and the OL is blocking well, he'll get the ball there. He's a sound QB who gets the job done. But he's not someone who would carry the team, which you need to be if you want to be a Heisman candidate. Even in this highlight reel, in most plays the WRs are wide open or the WR makes some kind of play. It's rarely Quinn doing something exceptional, though he does have to make the read and deliver the ball.
@@maheshprabhuPerfectly summed up. Ewers isn’t a X factor QB like a Vince Young or even a Tim Tebow, those dudes put the whole team on their backs and carried them to a win no matter who they played. Ewers isn’t a bad QB, but he’s not going to win the Heisman. Could he develop into that guy? Possibly, but Ewers doesn’t strike me as having that do or die in him. The final drive of the Washington game is one example of that. He completely fell apart when he had a chance to dagger Washington on the final drive of the game.
@@maheshprabhuthat’s a fair assessment but quinn definitely has the ability to be an x factor it’s just he and the coaches haven’t fully tapped into that ability. He can throw on the run at a very high level and he can run a little. With proper development he could end up with an aaron rodgers like play style which was enough for a rod to get multiple mvps
His throwing motion is awkward.. have we seen a QB succeed with a side arm throwing motion like that in the NFL . Only one I think of is Phillip Rivers
I like him under pressure. Can throw darts off his back foot over defenders. He has a moon ball that just floats forever like Russell Wilson. Without AD, worthy, brooks, and sanders, we will really see how precise he is deep without the play action and top tier separation. In the right system he will have relative success but never be a game changer in the nfl. His best fit in the league is definitely Seattle or Tampa Bay. But will probably be a top pick and not do so well
I don't think you know much about the roster texas has built and what they are doing over there. you should pay more attention. they have reloaded and then some.
Needs to work on his moon ball, can't throw it from anything other than the standard angle, and built like a stick. I'm also unsure of his leadership qualities and his processing isn't noticeable here. Maybe he'll face better comp next year and we can really see what he does under pressure. He needs to workout and get his touch passes a lot better.
Well, he has a slow release, not very athletic, and his feet are undeveloped. Plus, he plays in a system that's easier than most. Wish we could see him play under center more often because there's not a lot here we can project accurately. But i guess if he beats out Manning again then he might be NFL material. I just don't see the feet and I want to see how he reacts to pressure more often because the NFL is a whole new level of hard. He really has to put the team on his shoulders this year to convince me he's not a fourth rounder.
Man ngl season is one week away and I’m feeling a little nervous… almost everyone in this highlight tape is gone this season. I hope these new players are ready.
He played a pretty poor season and he better seriously step up or I'd have no qualms with them starting Arch. He is so late at times, he really doesn't scan the field, he stays stagnant in the pocket and only when it becomes blatantly clear that he can scramble, is when he does so. He's not a dual threat in the slightest, but man, he's not exactly a top talent as a pocket QB, so I don't know what he would offer at the next level.
His arm talent is special, but he gets in his own head. It’s like the OU game, he started off horrible, but once he calmed down, he was damn near unstoppable.. I’m more concerned with his mental temperament than I am anything football related.
@@ScottieDrippen listen man, this offense had too many wr screens to not be an issue with his processing and trust from his OC/HC, especially with how he can deliver or fail to deliver a ball down the field. Watch him long enough and he struggles with placement deep, he can have a cannon for an arm, but if he has no accuracy, it's useless. He had TWO sub 4.40 WR's on his team and he could blatantly miss them downfield, infuriating misplacement from him with Worthy comes to mind. And that's with open windows in college, good luck in the NFL with that.
@@ScottieDrippen his stats bear that out as well... he struggles mightily. Let a game start getting close from a blowout and you will see Ewers start to panic, misplace passes and let the other team creep back in with a bad INT.
