Minolta XD7 (XD11 in the USA) in 3 minutes. Here's the Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minolta... Here's the instruction manual: www.cameramanuals.org/minolta...
I remember being in the giant Jessops at Hinckley Road Leicester which was an amazing shop at the time, trying the XD7 and XD5 out in comparison to the Canon A1, Nikon FE and Olympus OM2N. All legendary cameras. The XD7 impressed me and I sometimes wish I had bought it. The Olympus had ace flash features and metering but was getting a bit old. The Canon A1 had the cool digital LED display. I got the A1. You couldn't go wrong with any of them. I wish I could have afforded one of each. Plus a Pentax ME Super or LX.
Hi! Great video. Question, my camera probably has a dead battery, I just got it and didn't even realize it had a battery. I am able to take pictures but only in manual mode. I'm wondering if a battery with allow me to use the aperture setting?
Was this based of the Leica M5? Or vice versa? That shutter speed dial looks oddly familiar, and as I recall Minolta and Leica had a partnership around the time period this camera was produced.
Guys my film advance lever doesn't go back by itself, I have to push it back. Does anyone know how to correct that issue and what it is caused by? Thanks!!
Minolta X300 or Minolta XD7/11 Hi, Newbie here i want to buy my first film camera... AE1 is not available or is overpriced as many recommended but Minolta XD7/11 or Minolta X 300 (700 not available) and are within my price range Which one is better for a newbie? i know it might be somewhat of a vague question but will appreciate any help you can give a newbie like me Thanks
Gah damn i've been waiting for this type of tutorial for my XD 11 which i'm told to never get rid of... 🙏.. Respect for putting this out..
You're welcome! It's a beautiful piece of kit. I had one in the early 80s
Short and informative, great video.
Thank you 😀

Amazing video!
Thank you Flavio 😀
Thank you for simply review 👏👏👏
Welcome 😀
Looks like a great camera.
Beautifully designed. It’s between this and the Olympus OM2

Without a battery you can only use one shutter speed. It sounds like more is wrong with it than just the battery
What's the little lever next to the view finder? Is it to cover so light doesn't enter it for night time shots??
So that light from the viewfinder doesn’t confuse the meter when it’s on a tripod and you’re not looking through it.
Hi, I'm trying to choose between the XD11 and the Olympus OM-10. Which do you recommend for a beginner? Thank you
I think the OM10 is cheaper. Make sure you get a manual adaptor for it
Thank you! :)

Leica and Minolta worked together on cameras, and there was a Leica ‘version’ of the XD7
Could you make a video about Nikon F2? greetings from Chile.
I’ll try if I can get hold of one

The X300 is a great bargain right now. I’d choose that before it goes up in pice
@@threeminutepro Thank you
I got my 2nd X300 for 5 bucks via FleaMarket, so get that, while you can! Minolta MD Lenses (as well as the older MC, etc) are excellent.
The film is not stuck, you can see when you advance the film but the film rewind does not move.
Have you pressed the rewind button beforehand?
Thanx.
Subbed.
Butmy has not the times shown here , near the aperture, at the bottom.
It is the silver one.
Have a nice day.
Thanks 😄
Fun fact: this XD-7/11 body was also used by Leica for the famous R-4.....
Yes! Minolta and Leica made some great stuff together
So it doesnt work without a bettery?
Only the one mechanical speed
My iso button is stuck. Is that a common issue? Also does anyone have a solution?
I’d get it to a repair shop 😄
Precio de camara minolta xd
