- Richard Freeman Yoga: Body Matrix. See full yoga video here ... myyoga.tv/v4P1
During this class with Richard Freeman, we will uncover the context and patterns of an internally rooted asana practice. Like the Jeweled Net of Indra, the human body can be experienced as a field of immediate sensations and feelings. When examined closely, each point or pattern in that field opens like a jewel into a vibrant, interconnected web, a matrix of gates into the present moment. Yoga poses, breaths, techniques and philosophies appear as jewels when the contexts in which they rest are revealed. The flowing Vinyasa form of Ashtanga Yoga is the ideal practice to reflect and refine an understanding of this intricate, interlinked art of yoga.
Moving in and out of the paradoxical heart of the Vinyasa system we can solve the problems and obstacles, which commonly arise through this type of practice. This will give the teacher better tools with which to see the individual nature of the student and to assist them in avoiding injury.
I love your smooth teaching style! Longevity is KEY and Richard is the anatomy king!!! Thank You for this video and much much more!!!!
I love how he "dissects" the sun salutation so we can grasp all the tiny details.
Lovely to see RF's poetic, comprehensive work.
This mans genius is staggering. Love him with all my heart 💟🦄
Why are peoples knees locked, why are their backs rounded? Why hyperextend the neck/ Go to YogAlign to learn why you don't do these.
How absurd. Real Yoga is all about the Hindu religion, taught by Hindus and not for a fee.
I think Richard must have done his fair share of alms collecting, in past lifetimes! He is far from greedy! I am quite happy to give him a little fee to hear him share the insights he has gained over his long time devoting to the Supreme!
i learned that all movements live, book-shelved or encased by the breath it'self... not during the movement. much respect to my teacher in toronto.
Oh, so your yoga is real, other people's are not? Some would say, as one of the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga, this kind of "exercise" should mainly be about gentle stretching to enable one to sit in meditation (which is another "limb"). Actually "yoga" is a pretty generic term meaning lots of different things, and you know this, swami!
