I bought the Stage Right 15w 1x12 combo based on your review and imagine my surprise when the amp arrived packing a full set of JJ tubes. even the cheap 15W gets the good tubes.
Mine came with crap tubes, but they weren't going to stay anyway. Re-bias, new pre and power tubes, MojoTone British Vintage, extension 10" Bruce Weber blue AlNiCo cab. It's great as is, and it's a low budget modder's dream. I was able to beg, borrow, and eBay some somewhat coveted NOS tubes [Mullard, Tung-Sol, Sylvania] for my 5W SR and my 15W. I got rid of all my other guitar amps except my old Hughes & Kettner I gave my son, my keyboard amp, and my wife's bass amps. Careful of the voltages, tube amps can kill, capacitors can retain a charge for a long time, and it's always cheaper to ask a pro than to buy a casket or pay for a hospital visit. I do electrical and electronic work for a living, please be careful if you're messing with anything inside the chassis.
You should only need the bright switch when the amp is cranked to compensate for loss of highs when you overdrive a tube amp. That's why early rockers used the always-on Dallas Rangemaster with early Voxes.
Wanna say that you’re doing a great, greaaatttt job with your channel. Absolutely the best guitar-stuff reviewer on UA-cam. If you ever hire new blood as presenters as your channel grows, please make sure they’re as good as you are.
Was looking to mod my 15w Stage Right amp into a cabinet that looks almost exactly like this to give the speaker room to breathe and upgrade the look to look more like a Mesa Boogie California Tweed . Appears that Stage Right read my mind and made the amp i was looking for all along. These guys are killing right now.
You should change the speaker to a higher end speaker. It will totally change the tone of the amp. The speaker is probably a poor quality speaker if it is low end Celestion. No need to spend a fortune, but it will dramatically change your tone.
gavin w Thanks! Yup! It’s on my to do list. The stock speaker still isn’t completely broken in just yet. However, from my experience thus far, I doubt it will change very much even once it is broken in. It’s not terrible, just lacking that special something that will always be holding this tiny beast back from its full potential.
@@jasonpalmer8163 check out weber speakers. They have a massive variety and will give free speaker recommendations and the like. They also have tube amp kits that are probably the most highly customizable kits around. These amps seem to be pretty great for the price! A speaker would really take them to the next level.
These have been put for a while. They didn't address anything. These are their own thing. If they addressed the 15w power cord, there'd be a new 15w with a detachable power cord. They wouldn't address an issue with one model on a totally different model 🤔 Oh this speaker in Amp A sucks. Let's change the speaker in amp B that's already been built for multiple years to address the speaker in amp A. Yea. That makes zero logical sense. None.
I don't know if it was because of the recording or UA-cam compression but the bright switch made all the difference in the world. It went from mud to spank and alive with a flip of a switch
I bought the 15W Stage Right based on reviews. The first one had a really bad distortion / buzz in it. Monoprice took it back and sent another. That one also had a weird buzzing. This time they wouldn't take it back. Had to dispute with credit card company. Three months later and an independent eval by a local music shop, the credit company reversed the charges for good after Monoprice disputed the claim 3x. They sent a pickup and it went back. Two months later a box showed up at my front door. Oh jeez, they sent another one. I checked to see if they'd charged my card again. Nope. I waited for another month and still no charge. Ok, I finally opened the box and plugged the (third) amp in. Surprise! No weird buzz or distortion. Amp was great. Been using it ever since and they didn't recharge my card. Still, I probably wasted about 20 hours getting to that point. Hopefully the QC is better on these.
Great demo...Thanks! I would like to find one to audition now. (BTW when referring to a knob position as a time, it should be what clock number it would be pointing to...ie, pointing to the left would be 9:00) Thanks again and I really enjoy tour videos!
This inexpensive amps are a lot of fun. I picked up a Bugera V22 1x12 for $140 and replaced all the tubes with high quality ones, replaced the speaker with a Celestian Greenback and now I have a killer sounding amp. You could do the same with this thing.
Or you can buy a better amp with the money you spent trying to make a cheap amp sound like a more expensive amp. If there was a way to beat the system everyone would be doing it
@@stevem5139 exactly…and the branded amp will have much better resale value. This is where SR could upgrade themselves with THE most important feature, the speaker, and sell it for a little more. Why bother with JJ tubes and use a crappy speaker? No logic to that.
@@JPMonstie or you could buy the head and the cabinet they are selling which would be a nice setup. I own both the 15 and 5 watt guys and why talk resale? I put a wgs 75 watt 12 c/s model maybe with tubes like telefunken and I set the bias correctly, they had it set at -7 volts not -12 and I must say it sounds better than my ampeg jet but not because of the tubes, just the speaker but they are making a good product, are they cutting some corners, yep but I like their products and for the money can't be beat. I am going to surprise myself with one of these for Christmas. Now, the big question, if I was in a working band would I use this? Well that is the question.
@@stevem5139 What better amp? Most of the stuff out there is crap. Like VH said it can be fun to upgrade and you don't have to spend a lot to make this amp better and you can't find anything like this for the price. The 15 watt 1X12 apparently is a Laney Cub so I think this amp is better than people think and you can use the Laney schematic to fix it.
Really heavy is why I use a Roland Blues Cube Artist for most gigs & the BC Hot for small clubs and rehearsal. Bith are incredibly versatile tonally and have genuine tibe tone.
Darrell - love the channel - thanks your great reviews. Have to challenge this one though. I bought a Monoprice Stage Right 5 watt amp. The first one had a microphonic tube so I sent it back they replaced it, the second one came with a buzz that won't go away and is not driven by single coils - it's loud and present when there's no guitar plugged in. I just gave up - $100 in the garbage can. I bought a used Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 12 years ago for $400 and it has been bulletproof and has beautiful tone & sound at any volume. I wouldn't waste the money again on Stage Right.
Hi Darrell, I’m curious how this amp has held up over a year. Have you (or any of your followers/commenters played it consistently over a year or so, and has their impression changed? Has the amp held up? Any issues? Thanks in advance!
The concern with “budget” amps for me isn’t how it sounds, most of them sound pretty damn good, the concern is dependability and life. Hell, I’ll play anything if it plays/sounds good or fills a void so what do I know. 🤷♂️
@@mvyper from what I gather having cancelled before delivery for a real Vox on impulse… it sounds cool and unique with the stock speaker, but you pop a greenback in, and it sounds very near the Vox. I can totally confirm that. Look up the stage 50 v Ac15 and you’ll see 😄. Almost made me regret the extra money I spent, but I’m a sucker for branding, and they’re both got different EQ character.
Thank you for the review on this. I have a boss katana amp and I’m looking at getting my first tube amp. I really want a Marshall but I really don’t want to pay $1000 for it when I just play at home and will never play anywhere else. I’m just starting to look at the different tube amps and the reviews and I’ve watched about every review you’ve done on guitars and amps and really like how you break it all down for us because I know nothing about tube amps. I will probably buy this amp and maybe upgrade the speaker like you said down the road. I just bought the EART 335 guitar based on your review because it has the steel frets and your review on the sound. Thanks again for your reviews and I love your channel.
Cool, I have katana 50 and am in same boat. Hoping to try tube amp to own for the first time. Hope you remember to let us know how you go and what you got!
@@Tone-Oz I bought the stage right 50 watt tube amp And the first one I bought played for about 10 minutes and I heard a pop and then I got static so now I know what happens when a tube blows. I had Amazon replace it and I am pretty blown away by the sound of this amp. This sounds so much better than the katana and you can feel the air coming out of the speaker and you can feel the sound going through your chest when it’s turned up which I’ve never experienced before with a digital amp. Hopefully these tubes don’t blow but stage right has a one-year-old replacement policy. I’m totally happy with it so far but I can’t turn it up too far or it is really loud. It’s definitely worth the cost and you might want to get one before it gets too expensive to have a tube amp or are you just won’t be able to find them.

The Blues Jr has a gain control, it just happens to be called "volume" on the panel. And it has a 'fat' function, essentially a boost, which is footswitchable and acts like 2nd channel for my purposes. I'm not surprised the SR 50watter is good. There 5 and 15 watters are both great.
Mr.Braun. I just ordered a SR 2x12 ext cab with V30's. I bought them cause you said they are very good for the money....sooo if it isnt I'm coming for you!! LoL I kidding I live way down in Alabama. And your in the great white North!! Its seems like a smoking deal. Plus free shipping and a 20% discount... comes to like $302 usd shipped to my door... thanks for the heads up brother!!!
Hi Darrell , ive watched your stage right review a few times and was planning on buying it until i saw the Bugera v55 infinium that was about the same price but includes a foot switch and sounds pretty good in the reviews. Have you reviewed or played this amp ? I trust your reviews and was wondering if you think the stage right 50 W or the Bugera would be the better amp? I would appreciate your opinion or anyone’s opinion on here that might have played either to see which one might be better. This will probably be my second and last amp that I will be buying so I want to get a decent one. I only play at home so I don’t need more than this. Thank you to everybody on here.
It took me 3 amps to get one that worked - 3xs the charm! Been using it for year with no problems. Mine is whisper quiet - first 2 cracked and popped at start up and when switching channels. I decided for the price I would return the 2nd one and give it one more try. I set the clean channel T/M/B for headroom at desired volume and just run my pedal board through it (nothing fancy) and it sounds amazing. This review is the reason I decided to try this amp out after finding it online.
I just got one of the amp heads. These reviews are pretty accurate. The reverb isn't worth it and I didn't get much of a bright boost with the bright switch, but I love this amp, so far. It sounds terrific and is giving me the tone I wanted. I have an MXR reverb on by board, so I just keep the reverb on the amp off. I'm almost sorry I didn't buy two of these. Someone questioned how long these might last. I guess I'll see, but right now, this is a keeper. I'm using it to run my wet side of my system and it does a great job. I did discover I liked the clean channel better for my purposes.
@@LEON4PRES I now have two of these and think they are really nice. One of mine had a problem and died. Monoprice processed my complaint, had me ship them the bad amp and then they sent me a new one. Great service. But they are really nice.
Another great review DB! I own the 15W and love it. I actually really like the sound of the Celestion 70/80 in it. I'd sure like to try this 50W but don't need another at this time!
Excellent vid! One critique: you comment that the Celestion 70/80 is not a personal preference. The comment is not helpful, assuming that the speaker is a budget model. If so, can you recommend, even as an opinion a more suitable budget priced replacement speaker.
Chassis pics. Gut shots. Let's see the internal wiring & build. Obviously it's an all circuit board mounted tube situation but it'd still be nice to see how clean or sloppy it's put together. The devil is in the details.
As a newbie player using a Boss Katana 50 MkII I really don't know how it sounds different/better/worse than a tube amp. I would like to see a comparison between a tube amp and digital amp so I can see/hear the difference if any
Thanks for the update on the amp. Going to buy the head version. Very impressive on the quality and sound of amp. Fantastic video and gear information. 😊 much appreciated 👍
The seventy eighty gets a bad rap and people love to diss it because its the intro/cheap Celestion. But if you just play it with an open mind, which I did when I first played it, it's a great speaker. Celestion didn't go oh, lets make a a bad speaker...
It's all completely subjective. I have once directly compared a Seventy 80 to a GM25 Greenback, and I personally have strongly preferred the Greenback. Those are two very differently voiced speakers, and the Seventy 80 sounded too scooped for me. But do I think it's a bad speaker? No, I'm sure it has it's strongsuits, it just doesn't fit my taste. While I'm sure that the price tag also has to do with it's bad reputation (I love how some people look at a "cheap" price tag, like it's a bad thing. I mean as long as the product delivers, it's always better to spend less...) but I guess It's reputation is also due to it's voicing just not appealing to the masses. Many people want that classic british mid-focused sound, which it's just not suited for, so it gets a bad reputation by these people. But for people who like very modern scooped high-gain sounds, it might be a great and very affordable option. The funny thing is, in videos demoing the Seventy 80 it always sounded fine to me, like it could be just what I was looking for. I can imagine that many people shared this experience of liking it in videos, and then disliking it when they actually play one
@@Scoaster86 I fully agree with you, just a matter of taste. I had that 70-80 in a Ibanez 15W tube amp, that I replaced with a G12H for more 60s and jazz voicing. And also appreciate the G12M in a Vox 15W tube for blues-rock voicing.
@@Scoaster86 I have 10"/12" greenbacks, a Creamback and Celestion blues and the gold alnico across my amps. I agree, I prefer those too. But the Seventy 80 is anything but bad and the reason people hate on it is because its cheap, not because it is a poor performer. Its way better than the stuff I had years ago when I started playing... and certainly doesn't deserve the rep it has. And if you are looking for a slightly different tone, it is different from the 'standard' Celestion speakers. But people giving these away or selling for $30 makes no sense... they don't suck.
Yep. Always like checking out new cool gear. Cheers! mtw in Los Angeles. currently playing old Peaveys and 2018 Epiphone L Pauls. Thinking about swapping pickups: Epi's hot Ceramic and the Alnico Epi Classics swap. Cheers! Big fans here.
Good review. These amps remind me of the Carvin amps before they went out of business. IF this was a 2x12 I would grab one in a New York minute. Very good reviews.
I agree that the cab is adding a significant amount of weight but the transformers if they’re quality are going to add probably more weight . Solid state amps have much smaller lower voltage transformers.
Just scored one of these locally for almost nothing. The guys ad said brand new, for parts, which sparked my interest. It has more than $200 worth of components so at worst I could part it out and make money. I tested it, everything came on, tubes red, no sound. He was asking $150, I offered $50 and he accepted. Got the amp home, pulled and re-seated the tubes and BOOM, it works!!! If I’m being honest, the drive channel is fairly useless, it sounds artificial, if that’s makes sense… but… the clean channel is incredible and takes pedals very well. Add-in the effects loop and other features, and it’s absolutely worth $500 for someone looking for a viable tube amp for under $1k.
I have just started selling off all of the amps and guitars that I am not using. So I am so sorry I saw this video, because... Here we go again. Great demo vid.
I got one but it wasn’t working right got a extra speaker cab too. Kept the speaker but sent the amp back. I will get another head later for it . I like the 100 amp one you showed. Using the speaker V 30 with a Marshall origin 20 for now also hook it up to the Mono SR20 watt too. Got that though you too . Great knowledge from your channel . Keep it up and thanks .
I am on my 3rd one ... first 2 sounded great but had static, pops and cracks on warm up. No cords plugged in! I contacted MP and they said return it. I asked for them to ship directly with same discount, no go on their end ... EVERY box was beat to crap by from Amazon ... went with AP because of price. AMP sounds great, using clean channel only with ELoop. Went with a 3rd purchase because they sound great and the price is awesome. Going to bias and use voltage attenuator expecting a good result.
Got a 15 Watt model and the tubes were no longer JJ and would crackle at start up... and if you tapped on one, the fireworks would really start. Mostly quiet for the first year but gradually degraded. Had some old JJs from years ago and put them in, rebated and all good! Also, the bias was set initially to VERY HOT and way more than specs...new tubes run much cooler now too.
IDK if you played the spark amp lately but they put in a few more amps, and a Guitar EQ and a Bass EQ, and a Klon overdrive pedal. The EQ really boosts up the cleans in two updates on your smart phone.
Nice video Darrell....Stage Right(Monoprice) Yet again has put out a decent quality product, that to me warrants purchasing if your in the market for such an item. ""POINT""--The $250-$350 dollars saved alone is a no brainer lol... and would also possibly get you say... a new pedal,,,looper,,,or multi effects processor as well. Love the 2 channel EQ's and the overall sound wasn't shabby to say the least. When you pulled out those JJ's...i was like WHHHATTTT???????? lmao...WELP. @@vorpalblades yeah, thats a valid point. Plus, in order for them to be sub $1000.00, they would have to lower quality to the point it would hurt their reputation. It would cool though.
Great review! I have also enjoyed your other reviews of Stage Right amps.I have the 15 watt version. Fully modified it, Tung-Sol pre & power tubes, Belton 3 spring reverb tank and a 12" WGS Reaper speaker. It's a little Beast. Is there enough room to install a 15" speaker and a full/long reverb tank? FYI, for a Hot Minute Mono Price was selling the 50 Watt Combo Tube Amp for $399! Wish I would had pulled the trigger.
I just picked up the sb20 head and Vintage 30 cab. Sweet! It uses Chinese (Sino) preamp tubes and JJ 6L6's. The Sino have a bit more gain if that's your thing. Substantial transformers. OPT has a 3.4K primary. The PCB looks like a weird clone of a JVM205H. Heckova deal!!!
Great video sir. Nice anp. It would make a great blues or blues rock amp by itself, or with a boost like a TS. With the clean channel and a cool distortion pedal it could be a three channel amp. Great review sir.
Got to say, after listening to the MIG 50 by electro Harmonix, I am pretty sold on that. Glad to see another affordable tube amp thats actually good though! This one is definitely more modern. I just love those vintage tones
Aha.....a fan onto the power tubes- exactly what I added to the inside of the screen blowing onto the EL84"s in my SR 15 watt combo amp. This addresses excessive heat building up inside the chassis which should extend the life of the electronic components.
Great Amp! excellent review. The only tube amp I ever owned was a Kustom 150 and I don't believe I've ever owned an amp with better tone, however, as you stated, the tradeoff is that they are heavy.
I can't find these in the UK but one of the combos is identical in looks and features as the Harley Benton. Probably made in the same factory in China .
Yeah, I watch your channel and like it. I wonder how you feel about this amp 2 years later. Do you look at your old videos for responses? I bought one, the combo version. I've used it very little on stage, mostly I use a floor Line 6 pedal and go direct to a PA but some gigs need a real amp. I noticed that switching channels there a slow fade or dropout before the next channel comes up to volume. That is bad. I also noticed that now the reverb is always on no matter what i do with the Hosa switch I bought to do that. Even though the reverb lights up and off, it's still just always on. Also the reverb is pretty weak and not great at all. I tried using the amp with a pedal board and the 4-cable method. Compression, distortion and wahwah effect going to front of the amp input and modulations like vibrato, flanger etc to the efx loop. But very strange stuff is happening. The amp will be playing fine with the pedal board. I standby, and then plug a guitar just straight in front and ... nothing. Then later I tested all cables, all good, unplugged the loop, and tried it again it would work... or not. I tried unplugging the Hosa channel switching pedal (trs cable). It seemed it's now allowing me to simply plug in a guitar and the amp will simply work. But will it continue to function on my next gig? I think there's some major cutting corners with the electronics in this amp. I wish I felt now like I got a bargain, but I don't. Yes it sounds good when it's running on all cylinders. The amp has a lot of smart features especially the separate eq for both channels. So... I need something affordable but RELIABLE too. IDK..
For price & features it is very close to the Bugera T50 having the same 50 watts. I bought one of the Bugera T50's and sent it back two days later. On the clean channel it didn't have as much volume as my 15 watt Fender unless you turned the gain to 5+ which imho no longer sounded clean. I'm tempted to give one of these a try.
I'll get the SR or the Bugera V55 infinium. The only upgrade I've seen necessary is changing out the tubes and that's only if they're not operating properly, otherwise I'll wait until they go out. Any other mod is based on personal preferences and is very objective. Only you know the sound your trying to get. I have no problem with the SR or Bugera as is with no mods. I've had the SR 15 watt tube amp for a few years, no mods, no problems and great as is.
Looks good, sounds good (keeping in mind that it's via UA-cam and my computer speakers, both of which make a real difference). I already have multiple amps, and am happy with them, but would consider this if that weren't true.
Darrel please put another speaker in lets hear!!! I finnally took speaker n 2000 Vox Cambridge 30 Celestion Bull Dog 10" out, replaced it with Jensen 10" Falcon what a differance kicks! Much better sound was looking for 10" JBL, but they dont make guitar speakers any more, back 71.made in Round Lake Illinois., Remeber Eminence speakers too, Fenders ised Jensen first later Eminence. Hate to say it but with Jensen Falcon Voxs sounds liie my old Princeton!!! Though putting Celestion in mew cabinet use together with footswitch change back and forth, hoping air tight cab make celstion sound better
That amp has some balls!!! Never be told differently. There is no tone like a serious tube amp. None. Not even close. Class A tube amp price doesn't matter. The price doesnt matter.
I would love to see you do a video on the Effectrode Blackbird pre-amp pedal. It's a great, portable option for achieving the same, consistent tube amp sound wherever you go. I've got one and I love it. I plug it into my surround sound system and send chills down my spine.
2 channel 50w amps are serious $$$! This one, thankfully, is much more affordable!
Enjoy :)

@@jasonpalmer8163 check out weber speakers. They have a massive variety and will give free speaker recommendations and the like. They also have tube amp kits that are probably the most highly customizable kits around.
These amps seem to be pretty great for the price! A speaker would really take them to the next level.
Would love to hear this amp updated with a comparable Greenback and maybe an upgraded reverb tank. As always a GREAT review! Thanks.
Darrell, they also addressed the power cable: Standard 3 prong interface instead of hardwired like the 15W SR Combo
These have been put for a while. They didn't address anything. These are their own thing. If they addressed the 15w power cord, there'd be a new 15w with a detachable power cord. They wouldn't address an issue with one model on a totally different model 🤔
Oh this speaker in Amp A sucks.
Nicely done in-depth review. I was such a slave to "the names" but those days are over.
Darrell, your videos hold my attention and are so informative. When I see a new post from you it takes precedence. That to me speaks for itself.
Cool combo! I would like to hear metal and hardcore tone tests included in your reviews.
Does this amp hood up over time? I’m thinking of running it through my 212.
Really heavy is why I use a Roland Blues Cube Artist for most gigs & the BC Hot for small clubs and rehearsal. Bith are incredibly versatile tonally and have genuine tibe tone.
I have my old reliable Roland cube 80 or my 40 chorus
YES HE DID IT he read my mind I was looking at these today. And was like wonder is Darrell made a video on these yet. And here we are
Another helpful review! I bought the Monoprice 15w after watching your review video and was very pleased.
I got my Marshall dsl40cr and I put a Texas heat in it and it’s epic. Still pretty affordable and it can gig and work as a practice amp too. Love it
My reference points for weight are a Vox AC30 which is around 70lbs, and the Artist Tweedtone 20R which is around 40lbs.
Yeah it does sound perfectly fine but I wouldn't expect it to last very long.
People give the Monoprice rave reviews, so…. I dunno. I ordered one. It was $200 so, like, why not?
How was it?
@@mvyper from what I gather having cancelled before delivery for a real Vox on impulse… it sounds cool and unique with the stock speaker, but you pop a greenback in, and it sounds very near the Vox. I can totally confirm that. Look up the stage 50 v Ac15 and you’ll see 😄. Almost made me regret the extra money I spent, but I’m a sucker for branding, and they’re both got different EQ character.
But expensive amps have the same issue. I guarantee they are using the same kinds of parts
If it's a standard reverb tank you can swap it to something big quality, longer springs... it's a really easy upgrade.
It’s definitely worth the cost and you might want to get one before it gets too expensive to have a tube amp or are you just won’t be able to find them.
is awesome your channel, becouse i learn about
guitars, ( i decided to buy a telecaster for your demos ) aaaand... i learn a lot of english ( i do speak it, actually i learnt in a institute here in South America, Chile, but i understand the whole entire phrases in the vieeos man !! is greeeeaaat ) so, cheers !!!! from the end of the world !!
Nice, Darrell! As usual, your have the best demo and the best tips to guide the rest of us. Keep up the good, no, excellent work!
The 15w gives great SRV tone at lower volumes.
00:53 Thanks for exposing how little I know about amps. Was not aware they can come with no master volume.
Excellent review. I have the 5 and 15 watt purely on your recommendation. This might be my next amp!
Mine cracks and stuff too. Pisses me off. I think it's the switch from clean to dirty that makes it do that.
I did discover I liked the clean channel better for my purposes.
i wonder if you can upgrade the spring reverb to a better one like mod brand
How it going so far? It’s down to this head or a Bugera.
Wish you would so some longer playing vids - Can't get enough of your channel!!!
These are progressively better amps. Good on ya SR!
Love this channel, dives deep into gears other won't touch!
What some of us want to hear with any tube amp is how it breaks up with Chords, From blues to metal.
Same hear. I would have appreciated hearing It with humbuchers.
I agree. Chords on the Humbuckers would've been a good test, with the bright switch on & off.
Thought you were going to open the amp up.
Lovely clean sound. Merry Christmas, Darrell and to your lovely wife.
I would like to see a comparison between a tube amp and digital amp so I can see/hear the difference if any
There's no difference nowadays, people say there is, but there isn't, digital amps sound pretty good even if there was a difference
I mean as long as the product delivers, it's always better to spend less...)
but I guess It's reputation is also due to it's voicing just not appealing to the masses.
I have the 70 80 and it is fine like who cares tones in the fingers not the amp right .So who cares 😴
I wouldn't call the 70 80 bad, but the V Type is also very inexpensive and sounds 10x better
That ot looks kinda small for a 50 watter. The pt looks good though
The Combo Amp is on sale RIGHT NOW @ $399!!! I should buy one!!!
I have just started selling off all of the amps and guitars that I am not using. So I am so sorry I saw this video, because... Here we go again. Great demo vid.
Just bought one yesterday which is why I'm here, awesome. Thanks 👍
I got one but it wasn’t working right got a extra speaker cab too. Kept the speaker but sent the amp back. I will get another head later for it . I like the 100 amp one you showed. Using the speaker
V 30 with a Marshall origin 20 for now also hook it up to the Mono SR20 watt too. Got that though you too . Great knowledge from your channel . Keep it up and thanks .
I wondered about these. I have absolutely zero use for a 50w amp, but cool vid anyway. :) I have the 15w SR amp and love it, BTW.
So, Which speaker would you recommend as replacement for the 70-80 and why?
I bought one and it's sounds great biggest bang for your buck. Killer tubes and speaker
I have the 15 and just got the 50 combo. Killer budget amp!
The blues jr has a gain control. It's labeled volume, and then master is, well, the master.
I love my Blues Junior!!
Miss my blues jr.☹
$399 for a new combo from China. I’d rather pay a little more for a used Fender.
@@sneifert1968 Right?
The 12AT7 is probably the reverb tube and does no pre-amping; seen it in other circuits.
I still have my old Peavy Classic 30 amp witch I still love the Sound it got 😊😊😊
Just ordered the SB12. Excited to try it out! I've never had a tube amp before.
I'll go for head soon I think. Nice channel as usual, one of best youtuber in the world
Another great review. I've been looking at those now I'll look closer. Thank you 👍👍
Always great content brother
Enjoy Darrell....Informative video as usual...Stay Safe ROCK ON and ...PEACE !!!!
Would love to see a comparison video between Stage Right and Harley Benton tube amps.
I love your intro haha! Also.... This seems legit. I would be interested in them but I already got a line 6 spider valve hd100 mkii. Seen an se go for 150 in the used market recently.
Awesome review Darrell of a sweet-sounding affordable tube amp.
Everything you've done on 👉 keep up your awesome work 👏
Amazing stuff, as always! 😀👍
I have this crazy idea. Would it be nice a limited run japanese squier re issue. Maybe between $700-$800. They would sell well
I remember some years ago you could give Fender suggestions on their website but not anymore
Japanese labor is no longer that cheap. It would be almost comparable to an American made instrument.
Wish I would had pulled the trigger.
same speaker in the Monoprice Stage right 15watt......soooo whats a good speaker to replace it with? it also comes with JJ tubes.
Glad intro with snow, garage roof & unwanted guitar is back.
Nothing like the BLACKSTAR DSP Guitar Amplifier with Class D output and can model any type of output tube.
Aha.....a fan onto the power tubes- exactly what I added to the inside of the screen blowing onto the EL84"s in my SR 15 watt combo amp.
This addresses excessive heat building up inside the chassis which should extend the life of the electronic components.
Great review. Very impressed with that amp.
Yeah! The intro is back!! Please Darrell, the whole song?
crank the master and use the channel volume. works well with the bright switch, and use pedals for reverb and gain
Great Amp! excellent review. The only tube amp I ever owned was a Kustom 150 and I don't believe I've ever owned an amp with better tone, however, as you stated, the tradeoff is that they are heavy.
My 2019 dsl40cr was made in Vietnam. Not sure if the current ones are still made in Vietnam.
IDK..
I love how you almost went "Dead Or Alive" there, right from 3:00.
What speaker would you put in it as a replacement?
Sounds amazing!
By the Way, the New Blues Jr. Like the Sonic Blue. Has one plug for the reverb and one for a fat feature Which acts as a Overdrive control.
