I see lots of people complaining about the "Crème brûlée" but it's not a real one anyway? From the looks of it it's probably a pudding with just Crème brûlée flavor, it doesn't even need to be chilled. And the sugar is not for torching! We have that kind of sugar here too, it comes with packaged Crème brûlée and is specifically made so people don't try torching and burn their homes. It's supposed to be evenly spread on top and will harden a bit when it gets in contact with the moisture from the Crème brûlée. It's not going to form that perfect top but it's a safe alternative for not torching. And I do believe it's also to protect the manufacturer from getting sued over torching accidents.
With the bunny and panda cakes. You get more cake to eat. It's cool, you get more for what you pay. It's better than getting just them already in the shape, then you'll get less cake.
The Japanese are masters of wrapping gifts! Next time you try crème brûlée, spread the raw sugar sprinkles on the top and either flash torch it with a mini culinary torch or place the ramequin on a baking sheet and place under a broiler until the sugar melts and starts to blister. The crack candy top is the BEST part of crème brûlée!
5:42 i remember trying those nut crackers but they were just peanuts covered in flour. they're called japanese-style peanuts and i would always go to the nearest convenience store to buy some. how nice!
It creeped me out. It's almost 3 am here, I'm coughing my lungs out and am high on meds and this guy blinks? I had to watch it twice to make sure I wasn't hallucinating 😆
I swear I will visit Japan one day when I can afford it as a massive anime fan and wanting to try these places and Goodies from your videos it's a must visit
I would imagine the Naniwa Choroken sweets are meant to be 3 to a packet with is sealed with the sticker and given as a token of good luck, which is very sweet and thoughtful.
These things all looked fun and yummy, and I'd be most likely to get the squid senbei crackers and the takoyaki pastry, and DANG IT I WANT TO GO BACK TO JAPAN.
How hard would it be to set up a way for us fans to buy the things you try? Either randomly or specific items? As enjoyed by dancing bacon and guest! Thank you.
Lol, I remember the good smarties, the chocolate ones. Pretty much no one here in the US knows what they are, they think they're little chalky candies which were called Rockets everywhere else. It's weird when I tell them I'm craving smarties and they had me the American version, I can't get over it.
The Fried Squid Rice Cakes look like late Cambrian marine fossils you can eat. Fascinating! The Buttermilk Manju and Cut-out Panda and Rabbit Cakes would make great decorations for birthday cakes. All these fancy but moderately priced snacks are beautiful.
13:43 - I am not sure why this was thought of but hey you now got animal shaped cakes! Why does this so accurately describe the Adulting part of my life? Also, why am I gagging at that last one? The candy-holding-head? It is SO cute.
my girlfriend doesnt like japanese art, but it is ok as i like japanese art. life is like that sometimes. one day you get called nerd fingers, but you move on. yet it can be hard. i will forever be known as nerd fingers
Just a tip: "Crème Brûlée" litterally means "Burnt Cream" in French. You're supposed to heat the cream (pudding) first, then sprinkle the sugar on top and burn it with a kitchen blow torch, until it melts and starts bubbling. Wait a few seconds for the sugar to cool off and form a shell. Break that sugar crust with the back of your spoon and enjoy a rich, warm vanilla cream mixed with small bits of charred, bitter-sweet brittles of crunchy caramel!
So the white bean paste, is that mung bean? Mung bean is so good, but sweet red bean is my favorite. I LOVE bean paste treats, but they are hard to find in my town.
Such cute packaging on all those boxes! I especially like the octopus one :D
"Not sure if each pattern meant to taste different... But this one tasted the best"
Thats the DancingBacons we know and love

Those takoyaki crackers looked super yummy
Trust me, you won’t run out of snacks to try out anytime soon ;)

tokyo banana is such a tourist item, but i cannot deny how amazing they are.
The Japanese Twinkie
As someone who hates coffee anything…I’ll take your word for it and avoid them like the plague.
@@doglover12345andfr they're not all coffee flavored, some are chocolate, original banana etc..

I wish I could be a fly on the wall and see what goes into making these unique snacks. Especially the theater character ones. 😋

I swear I will visit Japan one day when I can afford it as a massive anime fan and wanting to try these places and Goodies from your videos it's a must visit
Nice Astro turf background! That’s new❤😊😮
Save those drying packets. They can be used for a lot of things, like keeping your shoes dry so you're not as likely to get foot fungus.
I really liked the look of the Creme Brulee puddings!
Ok those squid crackers are kinda awesome lol ❤🎉
Japan has the most interesting and unique candy!
nice vids! Tokyo banana and okonomiyaki senbei was the best in my opinion
How can I get the box of banana bread!!!! 😍🤩🫶🏻
I would imagine the Naniwa Choroken sweets are meant to be 3 to a packet with is sealed with the sticker and given as a token of good luck, which is very sweet and thoughtful.
They all look so good! That second one is very pretty.
Animal shaped cakes were super cute! Although it would be disheartening to accidentally rip them….
These things all looked fun and yummy, and I'd be most likely to get the squid senbei crackers and the takoyaki pastry, and DANG IT I WANT TO GO BACK TO JAPAN.
The brulee one 👀😭♥️

Tokyo Banana one of my fav snack ....
they are all delicious😍👍😋
Very nice❤
The packaging are awesome 👍
As much as I love and adore japanese packaging, man, everytime it's such a lot of plastic. But the designs are so beautiful.
Are these the kind of special gifts Japanese people give to family and friends after returning from a trip - Omiyage? (Had to look up the word).
In addition, I will distribute it to my colleagues in the company.
Those squid crackers looked tasty and I don't usually like seafood.
Good selection of candy have japan xd

I'm watching this in an airport waiting for my delayed flight.
So fancy. A new grass placemat.
If there's one thing the Japanese love, it's mascots. Everything has a mascot.
so nice I am very jealous you can go to japan haha

The Smarties everyone thinks you're talking about are gross. Not chocolate, just cheap disgusting candy.
@@hxhdfjifzirstc894 exactly and I don't want that nasty chalk. I want my damn chocolate Smarties that taste better than M&Ms

Japan's packaging seems to be on another level
2:15 they look just like "razzles" those candy/gums that were popular in the 80s
Thank you for this but have you considered adding time stamps to the description? 😊
Wow, I came in early. Love your videos!!!
So kool, thanks 😊
It appears that for Okonomiyaki and related products, Osaka is the place.
O-saka is the place to beeeeee, for Oko-nomi-yaki and snacks, sundryyyyyyyy. Sing it with me!
Nice 😊
LETS GO NEW DANCINGBACONS VIDEO
Btw...that cute little package of banana cakes cost me about 30$ online...around 40$ish with shipping
Ahh, it's amazing how just Japan's convince stops are, than ours in California.

If they make that squid cracker in spicy form I’ll literally import a bunch of them
たこ焼き煎餅最高!!
Hi DancingBacon, I hope you guys try more Souvenir snacks and drinks in different country
Anyone else just wanna move to Japan because they're so far ahead of any country in the world towards pretty much everything
Good luck as a foreigner
@@kevintrang6447 Eh foreigners in every country are treated the same. I'm guessing you haven't travelled much?

Okonomiyaki senbei I am so jealous!
I would have eaten the caramel crush for the pudding all at once. I have no self control sometimes!🥴
Honestly, same.
