      Whats ruining futbol are all the Guardiola wannabe coaches that want to play like him without the adequate players to execute his tactics.

    Shout out to Olivier Giroud for helping to guide young players at Chelsea and Milan. Giroud is an incredible leader. He deserves a shout out for being there to support CP.

  • @tspot816
    @tspot816 2 місяці тому +3

    CP is leading Series A in goal involvements since joining Milan.
    CP was a top 10 scorer and better than that in assists in a top 5 league last season.
    CP is 3rd in scoring and 2nd in assists in the early going in Series A this season.
    CP has scored against Germany and Brazil internationally, and against Liverpool and Inter within the last year or so.
    CP is a legitimate player. He is a very good player. He is a talented player. He deserves and has earned every bit of praise he receives.
    For CP to be world class, which is a totally subjective definition, he needs to have a year similar to or better than last season, and Milan needs to have more success than they did last season, like winning Series A.
    But make no mistake, if CP isn't world class, he is very, very close. And that is a beautiful thing to watch. I am a US fan that has loved and played and coached this sport for all of my 54 years. I have waited my entire life for a truly amazing US player to emerge as it is proof that the sport is on the right trajectory in the US. CP has the minerals.

      He isn't close
      I can list 100s of players with those so accolades you're just overhyped american talent as usual
      World class is minimum top 10 in your position and pulisic ain't even top 20 he might just sneak in top 30 but that's subjective

    • @tspot816

      @@ozukabeats2456 Yeah. No. You can’t list 100s of players. Top 10 player in a top 5 league, 10x5=50. The math is simple. And since I posted this, he now has 5 goals and 2 assists in 7 games to go with his 15/11 haul last season, which means he is leading Series A in goal contributions since he joined the league. So now the math is even easier for you. #1 in a top five league, 5x1= (and pay attention here…) 5. I have made my case with objective facts and data. Prove me wrong with the same, or step off.

    As a critic of Alexi's punditry, I confess that today's conversation was imho the best I've heard from this channel. Love the guitar analogy, Pep's analysis, and the great "question" about what Pep would do/be if he were coaching a team of different talent. This is the kind of conversation that makes soccer truly the "Beautiful Game"....

    Pulisic needs at least one more club season and to show continued progression before we start throwing around the WC label. He's clearly in good form right now. He looks like one of the best, if not the best, player on the pitch in matches this season. He's sort of been quietly dominating Serie A over the past year.

  • @Minidorf2210
    @Minidorf2210 2 місяці тому +3

    I wouldn’t say Pulisic is WC right now, but I would definitely say that he’s playing at an elite level. I feel like this is why the rest of the world won’t take American fans seriously. We’re too quick to say players are WC! We need to just cool it a bit and see if he can do it on a consistent basis. Then, and only then would I say he is WC. But, yes, I agree he’s having a moment at AC Milan, and is showing people around the what he can do. I may not agree that it’s time to have the conversation just yet. But I also agree the whole idea of someone being WC is incredibly subjective, and varies widely from person to person.

      Nailed right on
      There is a difference between form and class
      Pulisic needs to sustain this level for minimum 2 seasons to be considered elite and to be wc he needs to raise it another level
      Guys like rashford have far exceeded these levels pulisic is showing and still isn't considered world class

    One thing that the Pundits don't give much air...Is that Italy is much warmer than England and therefore it is easier to avoid injuries.

  • @MarkGbbs
    @MarkGbbs 2 місяці тому +6

    There is no "Anti American bias in England". Don't know why you think that. It's like you think the English get upset about calling it soccer when both football and soccer are English words and are both used by the English. It is just that "football" sounds better than "soccer ball" and footballer better than "soccer player" etc etc. Soccer is a slang word. When Pulisic played in the premier he always seemed to be injured. He is a good player but any professional footballer would look good at Real Madrid or Manchester City. If Gareth Bale had stayed at Tottenham would he of won 3 champions league titles ?

    Christian Pulisic does not walk into Real Madrid, Manchester City or Bayern Munich and become a locked in weekly starter, which in most circles defines a world class player. There's a substantial gap between Serie A and the top 2 leagues.

How many times we lost a Panama in the last three years and Christian was just out there running around but not scoring any goals. I’m happy.
