the best is easier for me to answer. the state of our mens and womens leagues being so solidified that any person can see that as a career if they work hard enough towards it. also as he mentioned all the different teams the US has. over the past year i have watched some of the powerchair and deaf national teams and both were really fun. our womens deaf team is so far ahead of the other nations. this was the biggest thing to me about the atlanta facility - that it will be made for ALL the national teams and not only the primary mens/womens teams. these other players put their heart into the sport as well and deserve a nice place to train and feel like the nation is behind them. for the worst ... i think it would be something like how people here are pulled towards foreign leagues and don't appreciate the leagues here, following up on that how are other national teams are not supported as much as the senior teams which is to be expected but i wish it was more, or that the soccer culture hasn't really been built up yet. from going to the Colombia/Uruguay match this summer i was blown away how random chants were starting all around me. it wasn't leaning on a single supporter section to do so. when i have gone to league games here (NASL/NWSL/Open Cup) that has felt lacking and to get that started takes people willing to step out of their comfort zones. hopefully i can get out of that myself.
what i want to know is when will Poch get his own flavor of Lay's like Messi has? maybe we can do his own Celsius flavor if US Soccer doesn't have anything lined up with Lay's.
thanks JT for what you do getting US Soccer the various sponsorships and donations to make all of this possible. the marriot bonvoy commercial stood out to me the most, where i would hear the first part and instantly know it was a US Soccer commercial. i know there has been Celsius as well which i tried out specifically because they were supporting US Soccer and then all the other brands that have been willing to step in such as Zillow for this show during the summer this year. then we have all the private donations such as what made the atlanta facility possible with Arthur Blank or the donations for Poch that I heard like Ken Griffin and Scott Goodwin. thanks to all the others that don't grab the headlines and still donate making this sport possible in the US. its been amazing seeing it grow from playing it as a kid and barely hearing about it to now where we have so much investment and options to watch either in person or on tv.
I don’t know, boys. I think Stu has an element of magic that this show has desperately needed. I kid, I kid. Seriously though, he should be a regular. Excellent job!
You know, Alex I love what you’ve done and what you mean to U.S. Soccer but I gotta say the way you try to stir up a fire about equal pay is ridiculous. My friend you know the level of competition on the women’s side is not nearly even half as close as it is on the men’s side please stop this
Any position you are hiring people for, candidates can end up getting paid different amounts based on their resume and the demand for that market. Emma Hayes is the highest paid female coach. Poch was already getting paid a large amount at Chelsea why would that change? He is getting paid based on his value in the men's market.
yet other sports charge high prices too. they do just fine. why? probably years and years and decades of development. we have really been trying for not that long. remember it took 100 years - ish for football to become the number one sport. realism seemingly escapes fans to often.
US soccer is a business. This dude is no less shifty than Rodger Goodell If he got on television and just spilled the beans about whatever the hedge funds get out of paying for Pochettino he'd be out of a job. Im not saying this is entertaining to watch. But the guy shouldn't be running his mouth because hes not the real power behind the organization. He's hired to facilitate, not be the star of the show
With all due respect … can’t compare salaries with soccer competitions between women and man …. Can’t denied the men’s league worldwide has a lot more capacity to create revenue than women do … so budgets are different … end of the story …. I can understand in almost any other field that salaries must be competitive for both women and man but it has to do also with the environment which almost in all sports men dominate
I don’t think inequality of pay has anything to do with being a woman or a man. I think the inequality has to do with their resume and expertise. It’s obvious for US soccer to pay Pochettino more not because he’s a man, but because of his resume. But true, this guy avoided to answer the question
What do you think are the best and worst parts of American soccer?
All of it!! Size the day Alexi, haha.
@@DerekLangdon-w9e size the day?

Lexi brought the tough questions and this guy dodged each one 🤣

In regards to the coaches pay disparity of men's and women's team: The biggest avoidance and non-answer I've ever heard.
We need to scout the hoods
100 percent
With more cops for sure.
no we don't. amazingly 4 other sports do amazing at finding the best of the best. why should soccer be so inclusive?
There all playing BBALL.
@@coletripp4814 and most of those players are from the hood🤣🤣🤣
Well, that was useless. The worst part of American soccer may be that U.S. Soccer's CEO and Secretary General doesn't want to answer questions.
I doubt you could do any better if you were a CEO trying to keep your job. I'm surprised he's doing interviews at all.
What is he supposed to say. That her pay is less because that is the market price? 😂😂😂
@@whenisdinner2137 Yes. A competent CEO would have found a way to convey that properly.
Mmm, d
Mmmm. That question on equal pay wasn’t difficult, but he made it hard and painful to address it. He didn’t even answer it.

Totally agree
Easy answer is look at what men and women world cups generate for revenue
Did we just listen to a Kamala interview? Not one question answered

Pochettino hasn’t even started yet and they’re already burdening him with politics.
the fact that they rehired berhalter says it all
Are you against Berhalter? 😳
Ah. Another moronic fan.
@@terefefeyssa877 no way I love his success in the copa america
@matthewhurst573 : thanks. 😊
The inconsistent play of the USMNT. They beat some good teams then inexplicably lose to Panama.
The pay to play

CEO Spin Doctor of US Soccer Federation was interviewed for 30 minutes. What a waste of time.
You get pay acording the money you produce, otherwise equality means comunisim
