Thirty days are insane, you can spend ages with endgame challenges or chess puzzles. The way of thinking you need to develop, like scoring you pieces and calculating logically two or three moves ahead takes years too.
I think one of the fastest learners these days was Susan Polgar, maybe check out her book. I tried something similiar a few years ago to beat my older girlfriend. I bought all the instructionals of the old grandmasters like capablanca, lasker, bronstein, alekhine. Actually chess has a certain history in developing, each grandmaster changing the game. It was a very interesting but brain busting journey. After almost a year, my girlfriend stopped calling me idiot after winning 1 of 3 games against her.

You should consider that most strong chess players have a whole team supporting them like professional athletes. Chess is not a simple thing.

At the end of the video, you said that the ceiling of talent can be broken. I'll do you one better and argue that talent is not the ceiling but an uneven floor. In my opinion, talent is just a small head start that anybody can equalize with a little dedication.

8:35 b4 allows the knight to jump into the white position. When you push pawns you have to acknowledge the weaknesses left behind and how your opponent will exploit them. It’s a good idea to not allow enemy pieces in your half of the board.

Chess isn't just a natural ability, some people can visualize better and get there faster.
Me personally I started at about 450 getting to 700ish in a month 6 months later and I already hit 1780.
I didn't start good but I studied, studied and I studied a bit. It takes a while but anyone can get to a pretty good elo.

    • @__skullchess__7607

How about next trying the game of Go, which is an abstract strategy board game for two players in which the aim is to capture more territory than the opponent by fencing off empty space. It is not as simple as it looks and has a high ranking community.

okay I am confused if she played chess when she was 9 and won some state level tournaments then she can't be 800. those who don't know about chess tournaments - its pretty difficult for kids because most of the kids start learning chess from from the age of 5 or 6 and they are pretty good at it..they already know openings, middle game and endgame so winning among them require knowledge and skill. maybe she lives in a country where chess is not celebrated much idk.
