Been watching for 2 years. I am a 71 Year old teenager, living the dream with you all that I wanted but missed. Good on you kids, enjoy every minute. Look forward to more adventures and videos.
Thank you for showing folks heaving to isn't just a storm tactic, it is a great way to stop and have a rest. A facebook friend gave me a link to your program. Enjoyed it.
You are a bunch of truly diabolical collection of shell-backs! Considering what the ceremonies were for Brian & Brady & Erin, and then for Sosje and the other crew this is a new level on nasty! Not sure even Blue, Leesir, and Liz got this nasty of a hazing! That underwater shot of Delos hull looks great! Not much build up. That heave-to sailing tactic is brilliant! Well done Brian & Brady! You both were so calm and professional (on camera) during this nasty squall! Well Done!
So glad I found you. I say often that I'm a 24 yr old guy trapped in a 78 yr old body and have enjoyed many of the adventures you show, ie sailing, scuba diving, traveling,... etc. You're videos are great and I very mush like how you show the essence of the experience of sailing long voyages on the seas. The one experience I have not had is a long passage so it is great experiencing it with you in you're videos. Looking forward to more adventures, safe travels and God's speed to you.
Here I am still making my way through from the beginning to the present day. It will be a sad day when I have no more episodes to binge on. It has seriously helped me through lockdown here in Leeds, UK as it feels like an escape!
I still remember my shellback initiation in the indian ocean enroute to the island of diego garcia. eating green eggs on the floor, getting flogged with a firehouse and kissing the greasy tummy of king neptune. from low life polywogs to trusty shellbacks
Another excellent video. Having crossed the equator years ago under the water I can appreciate your initiation ceremony!! Brady's disgusting concoction makes it all the better!! Safe sailing and as always, looking forward to the next episode.
I started watching Delos Videos about a month and a half ago, since then i finished uni, got a job and tomorrow i'm gonna get my first ever sailboat! I will learn to sail on it and hopefully quickly trade up to bigger vessels. It's a tiny 470 dinghy, it's old, but it's mine... Some day I'll be hopefully sailing my own Delos! Thank you for making these awesome videos and inspiring people like me!
Hi guys , this is nasty and so cool , it is very good to keep the traditions , we have crossed equator so many time and we had so much fun too!!! calms seas and fair winds!
good heave to. Dont see many or any other youtube sailors with the pld skills. You guys are just showing everyone why your the boss yet again. Sailors can actually watch and enjoy. So once again thakyou.
Cool video, love the equator weather. We especially liked the sunset / sunrise and the below the boat camera is wicked sweet. OMG we want to give you all a few cooking lessons on basic soups.
I wish i had friends close enough and who shared the same dream of doing stuff like this as me. I know this lifestyle has a lot of pros and cons but man do i wish i could be a part of it.
Congratulations to the new Shellbacks! Oh wait, that's not until the next video.:-) I'm a 3-time Shellback, but my crossings were much different than yours, on U.S. Navy Fast Frigates. Thank God, you only get to be a Polywog once. lol Fair winds, Delos!
I am definitely going to circle back to this for the book and insights for my own boat. I have heard plenty about the process of Heave to. Something I definitely want to practice. Thanks for recording and positing.
COLORADO loves loves you guys....I could literally feel the sadness from the girls when the voyage apparently came to an end....PLZ remember what you guys have been given....hope you all have happy safe travels in your lives.....CHEERS
I actually don't remember when I subscribed, but it was at least this far back. Still, there are some episodes I've missed along the way. Recently, nostalgia came to me and so I'm revisiting the show that always makes me feel good. Problem is, I don't know which shows I missed. So, starting over. Not the worse way to spend idle time.
new sub and catching up on all the past adventures. This crew and boat never cease to amaze me at what they're capable of doing (good or evil). While I'm a licensed lover of air, land, and sea adventures, I doubt that I'll ever get to experience the sea as you guys have and continue to do. Thank you very sincerely for sharing your experiences with the world. They have been a source of inspiration for me personally. Wishing you fair winds and endless amazing experiences. And if you ever make it back to Florida, I'll be sure to have some real moonshine on hand for you to enjoy.
As usual a great video. I was especially impressed with the cursive writing annotations. Quite professional. Adding to the fun was a practical lesson on heaving to and fuel filter changing. Fair winds eh.
Serious nautical skills here ... aside from being a mangy band of fun loving pirates, you guys (the entire crew) are really doing things in a very skilled and responsible way. Congratulations. Bud
Probably one of the best edited episodes yet! Your production value is miles above any other sailing channel! Of course it helps that you're all funny. Thanks for making my every other friday!
Delos crew, you guys rock! Love watching your adventures and seeing where the wind takes you. As i slave away at work, day dreaming of my own adventure, thinking someday it'll be my turn. Until then i will live vicariously through you. P.S. All the Delos ladies are stunning, love your attitudes too. :)
Actually reading the storm tactics book at this stage and recently purchased a couple of bottles of Aquavita! Perfect timing for your video! Thank you guys! Soon becoming your patreon ! As have tremendously learning from you so far!
you guys are the best.. every time i tell someone i have a you-tube Chanel they say oh you mean like "Delos'... i say no they are the best i have a lot to learn but i am trying....lol
Love your guys show. A real inspiration. I watch it in mini-marathons and then take a break. I know it will end, so I watch a few episodes, then wait a month, then repeat. Thanks for the adventure. What do you and Karen think about having kids and doing this? Thanks
This was the best Delos period and I came back again to watch it after 5 years !
Been watching for 2 years. I am a 71 Year old teenager, living the dream with you all that I wanted but missed.

Knocking down the waves with a vegetable oil drip goes as far back as the clipper ships. That's a real life saver in times of peril .
