I’m 16 and ever since I was 14 I was working casual in my parents business, cleaning the house for money, attending acting classes and I’m still doing the same. I’ve been working for things my whole life, my father is a moron and my mom is supportive. I did all of this on my own basically. Hopefully next year I apply for an acting agent and hopefully I get some casting calls. She needs to understand that not everything comes to you..believe me I know.

I’m a 25 year old woman and I grew up in a city that at least to locals is considered “the hood” but I don’t walk around claiming a story that isn’t mine. Being authentic is important because faking is embarrassing when you’re just a copycat

@@foreverrcocochenel she's a kid they never see it as defensive. We have to gauge the part we play in kids being defensive of the advice we given upon their goals and methods. We have to gauge them differently.

@@ayeimseoki6596 that's a kid. Also she never had the upbringing of a regular kid, having to survive with a weak support team. When we want our kids to do something we tell them, "you're grown, you have responsibilities," then turn around and tell them, "stay in a kids place, you are a child," so being 20 realistically has no baring on that notion. 20 yrs old is a child in terms of vulnerability to a society that has a slim margin of success.

AverageWhiteGuy 1972 She’s trying to tell Dr. Phil to look online and see what she is, is a trending thing online. Lol, Dr. Phil is trying to get her to be genuine and unique with what she’s gonna do with rapping. She’s been growing up in the era of social media/social media made famous music. Why is she trying to copy? That’s so last century. Maybe she (like a lot of people now a days) got that mind set from being underaged for social media and seeing only what’s on tv and hearing what’s on the radio and played in stores. Then like most, finally get social media accounts and most seem to be too lazy to look up music, artists, etc... on their own. If they haven’t heard of it, then why check it out.? It’s a true thing that young people do. Sad btw. So she thinks that this is the best way for her rap to get noticed. By copying something that is already popular. Why should anyone notice her since she’s not mainstream? Since people like her have that thought process of copying something mainstream (not underground mainstream) and not being unique and not seeing all or most of what’s out there, then why should anyone else take time to notice her music.? Theses kinds of people don’t think about. They’re just always wondering why no one or hardly anyone cares about what they’re trying to do.

The “internet” she’s talking about are the kids doing and giving the same kind of energy and encouragement for her actions. That’s what she is feeding off from. But mark my words.. as she gets older... life will (as we know it) is going to teach her the lessons she’ll wish she knew now. Haven’t we been there ourselves? Rebelling everything. Now granted she’s spoiled. Does not have her father around, with a pushover mom. This’ll take quite some time before she gets to this place, the same goes with her brother if he doesn’t get into ‘trouble’.
