For some reason, Winter Soldier has captivated my attention more throughout the show and the movies as compared to any other character apart from the leads. For some reason, I was expecting Steve to give that shield to Bucky. Ofcourse it couldn't be, at the same time it would have introduced a lot of chaos for everybody involved. My man I was repeating that last part about Disney's hypocrisy and their double standard preaching and you nailed it perfectly. I had no idea about all of those issues until you pointed them out .. big up to you and keep going 👍 It's refreshing really to hear about certain matters from a movie/series/entertainment channel because a lot of the realities that are happening in the world today are overshadowed in the movie and entertainment industry
41:57 - 42:29 If the powerpuff girls did a better job of teaming up with the villain than falcon and the winter soldier than both marvel and disney should be ashamed of themselves
Oh Eric I really feel bad for The disappointment you had in falcon and the Winter soldier but that last part about Disney is 100% what a narcissistic studio
Looking at the series a second time, with a semi-critical eye, I'm surprised that no one had broadcasted Sam's decision to give up Cap's shield but showed Walker's interview of how he felt about being the new Captain America. There were reporters there, for crying out loud! Also, I concur with you, Eric, that it isn't realistic that everyone accepted Walker so easily. Not to mention, most likely reporters would've been swarming Sam, asking how does he feel about this. And yeah, Sam's internal conflict was poorly set up, especially given that the series is ignoring the fact that Sam willfully and, with confidence, took the shield as he promised, so it gets aggravating when he tries to defend his decision. Heck in Endgame, even Bucky, showing his approval, encouraged Sam to try on the shield when Cap told him to.
Even though I've stopped caring about the MCU (with the exception of Spiderman) after Endgame, I still find myself really enjoying Eric talking about these shows. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for spending your time working on these amazing videos. I love how you tell your own opinion on these shows and movies and I really appreciate it keep up the good work and stay safe.
I'm a Muslim from Pakistan. And I hate the fact that Disney treated us as terrorists in the past. Now they are making a Muslim superhero that is so hypocritical
I'm not muslim nor from the Arabian or Asian countries but l also don't like whenever they tackle terrorism, they always associate it with people who are Muslims
One of my favourites characters in mcu was the winter solider, I wanted to see so much more of him, like him trying to find and kill every remaining member of hydra with sam trying to stop him because some of them were not bad guys or they were forced into it
Even though it’s 46 Minutes long, you somehow kept me engaged through the whole video! I don’t know how you're always able to do this Eric but I’m very impressed 👍 I’m also kinda curious if your gonna be doing some sort of versus video on the new Conjuring movie at some point? Keep up the good work mate.
Cant wait for your review on Loki since the first two episodes are amazing and in my opinion is that even though there’s only two episodes out right now, it’s already better than Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter soldier
For the record, the woman who Julia Louis Dreyfus plays is Madame Hydra in the comics so the US Agent ending thing is meant to be more ambiguous than happy.
@@EricCarter12 It’s because while I was watching the whole video was calm and collective about FAWS but then after the review of episode 6 like it started getting higher and Then when I saw the 6/10 to a 1/10 I was genuinely Surprised, shocked, and Kinda fearful while watching to the end.

Good review IL just say as a black guy the reason race was brought up early in the season is cause he was probably thinking "in America there was another captain America who was also black and for SOME reason we didn't know. Now they could have made it easier. but that's my point

I think you would really like Superman and Lois. I know it’s on the CW but it doesn’t feel like it at all. The tone is perfectly balanced, the effects are much better with the higher budget, the show feels like it’s written by people who actually respect the characters and there’s no pandering whatsoever. It’s honestly the best DC CW show season since Flash season 1.
Hey Eric, you have to watch Loki, it is actually more important than Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. You would not believe what happens.

@@z_productions2006 he didn't feel worthy of it. He gave a speech about it in the museum in the beginning of E1. 2 problems:1) Sam's internal conflict is told, rather than shown, so you really don't connect with his character, and 2) in the same episode when the conversation between Steve and him had at the end of Endgame, the show deliberately leaves out Sam willingness to take the shield-why they did that? Probably as a way to retcon things but... "Not a great plan"- Tony Stark And it gets aggravating when Sam keeps defending his decision of rejecting the shield. I also found him unfair with his dismissal of Walker. He was the one who took the shield when you rejected it, Sam. I can understand why Bucky would be cold to John, but I couldn't care less if Sam was.

Loki is actually really good, in my oppinion. It's fine if you don't want to watch it, but I think you should review it. No matter what, it's ten times better than both Wandavision and FATWS combined.

I prefer the main villain from WandaVision. But that's only because the actress does a great job. The villain didn't even do anything villainous. All that credit goes to Wanda.
@@EricCarter12 you know what's sickening? Bucky, who was under mind control and used as an assassin, had to work for his amnesty. But Wanda, from what I heard-didn't see Wandsvision-who was in her right mind, trapped a town and forced them through torturous cosplay for her tv show based utopia all b/c she didn't want to let Vision go, gets off easily with no consequences. What on earth?! Also, was Quicksilver placed in Wandavison as a way to keep Wanda from releasing the townspeople or was he really there for fan service?
I find it so funny how I always watch your mcu videos while saying to myself 'of course he's going to be picky and make some absurd points and stuff....' but at the end I'm always agreeing with you. :) I love your videos btw. Keep up the good work!
They should have put the scene where Bucky confesses to the guy whose son he killed in the fifth episode. They could have gone further with the emotions. Maybe have the guy freak out and force Bucky to leave or quietly pull away when Bucky would try to approach him after confessing. If they put it in the fifth episode they still could have had the scene and kept the heavy drama.
So they have a problem with the word "Slave" even though they have no problem filming their movie next to a Concentration Camp. It just shows how full of crap they are and how their representation methods are completely meaningless.
I agree that Walker's redemption arc should've been longer but I don't think he was ever a bad guy. The pressure of being Captain America got to him and he couldn't handle it but he was never going to be actually evil because he's still a good person who just did a bad thing.
That part felt like it was written by someone who isn't black. I read an article that said the way it tackles racism (in the first 2 or 3 episodes) feels like too much and too little. They beat it over your head but it's at a face value level.
@@Irose_YTBE I mean, if they wanted it to be about race, THAT should've been Sam's reason for not taking the shield in the first place. In episode 1, Sam could be Captain America and stormed a drug dealing operation but got into a fight with a white cop who was abusing one of the black dealers-was trying to stop him from killing him. The white cop, getting his butt handed to him, tattles on Sam and then the army comes in and says that "hey Sam, we understand what you're feeling, but the ppl need to know that ppl like you need to have a level head." This could've been Sam's beginning of him having an actual internal conflict: he wants to honor the promise to Steve but also feels conflicted about the way his ppl are being mishandled but can't do anything about it. He and Bucky, who is pissed that he gave up thr shield, could have honest talks about how Sam, being an Avenger, still faces racial profiling, something he struggled with growing up.
Soo ahh first things first here... It took you several episodes to fully understand why Sam didn't want to embrace the shield? Maybe it's because your white ( apologies if you're not btw) that you didn't immediately realize this but yeah sure Steve gave Sam the shield and yeah he accepted it but you also failed to realize that jumping into a role like that seemingly unannounced to the public would definitely be nerve racking. Look at it this way Sam is an Avenger and is already an established hero in his own right.….him just deciding to dawn the shield and stripes would automatically become a hot topic with everyone not to mention controversial (like in the comics) and would essentially make every little thing he does be deemed “political" even if the majority of people accepted him, the man just wanted to stay in his comfort zoom for a little while, I mean he just got back from being dusted is this really that hard to comprehend? also you along with everyone else keep saying he gave up the shield as if he handed it to someone else?? No he placed it in a museum to be displayed with Steve's suit, who's to say he wouldn't have come back for it when he was ready? So yeah that all i really wanted to say because while i was listening to your commentary and heard you saying Sam didn't have a good reason constantly annoyed me. Plus i don't think you complimented a single thing Sam did throughout this entire video👀
Your reasons sound good. But it's just a shame that the show did not TELL US that. It didn't even explain that to us visually. You don't need to be black to understand taking up the mantle from someone else. (BTW I'm Asian) Everyone can understand and relate to that in their own way. It also goes against what Falcon said to Captain America at the end of Endgame. "Thank you, I'll do my best". This came right after Cap told him that it's his. This just felt like bad MCU writing that has trickled down to the majority of Phase 4 and 5. With even Nick Fury's depression making no sense in Secret Invasion. In my view, its just bad storytelling. And it seems that a lot of people are calling Marvel out for that now.
@@EricCarter12 I agree with you for the most part I just wanted to touch on that Sam thing a bit, also I do believe that this show was cut shorter due to COVID restrictions and that could also be the reason things felt so rushed out and choppy at times but who knows.
Hey buddy. I might make a video of Black Widow, but not of the Conjuring 3. I'm too busy to make a versus video of that so I will probably do it in the future.
I agree with almost everything in this review. It boggles my mind that the flagsmashers got so much sympathy from Sam after threatening his family. And walker ended up being the best part of the show What I’m not on board with is that they set him up to be a villain and then redeemed him. He made wrong decisions and showed anger problems. But he seemed to me like a flawed person trying to do right more than a premeditated super villain. You could make a case that Tony has done more evil than walker. I feel like they set him up to be a flawed hero not a villain.
Hey Eric, great vid as always. Just wanted to ask you what do you think of the new Batman the animated series by Matt Reeves. Do you think it will be on the level of the old one?
Okay, your ending of your review was EXTREMELY Biased as hell. The only reason people didn't bring up those problems with the series as you did was because They Were Very Clear throughout the show and the context was there throughout the entire series. Stuff with Sam giving up the Shield was basically obvious why he gave the thing up. John Never turned into a villain. He was just a psychologically damaged man with some troubled in his life. Abd when he disobeyed abd order and went crazy for his friend, he went rogue abd try to take action on his own hands. Not only that, but, later in, he wanted to make what's right for his title and country abd just try to settle the score with Carlie and her Flag Smashers. He wasn't Really turning into a villain. The guy had just had some troubled abd an unstable mind. But, really, the guy is just a good guy at in the end and is pretty clear that he would be used by people as it was pretty clear that this Valentina person is just using the guy. Making him into a pawn. Also, the only reason Sam decided to take the costume was because he wanted to do this for Isaiah after listening to his story and how they just tarnished his legacy. So, he wanted to honor that name for him abd try to prove to him abd the world that the world is ready for a Black Guy as Captain America. Also, the humor was fine. Nothing bad here. Even grown people can do such immature things at times. And I Really don't see how the thing being set inside the airplane would be any better as this was suppose to be a psychological therapy between the two in the room scene. It was suppose to develop and explore that sort of aspect since they have showcased that sort of aspect for the characters. They were Suppose to act a bit immature here. It's called having a flaw. But, then again, you seem to take most of the humor outside if the MCU too seriously and out of context. Even when they really Aren't shown to be over the top like some humor.
falcon and the winter soldier was awesome. walker was a sleeper role to me. he was definitely crazy...the events that finally pushed Sam to don the shield and the uniform had far more undertones and realities that I was expected. The Wakanda ladies were awesome and what's going to happen to Sharon? Many questions hoping for answers next season...
Only Batman Begins had it, yeah. But that was Nolan's first comic book movie. We have come a long way since then so for a modern day comic book property to do that is just bad.
@@EricCarter12 Batman begins is amazing I mean the dark knight and dark knight rises is where the action gets bad u see people falling out of nowhere at least in begins it covers the mistakes in dark knight u see Batman fighting as if he was disabled, Batman is supposed to be a martial artist all he does is slow punches and hits with his elbow I would watch begins’s action any day over dark knight or rises
@Trevor White no the dark knight had it on screen and the dark knight rises showed some action a little off screen for some reason but it wasn't quick cutting
@@heresnegan6825 Well, He better not do it, for some time now you can see the hatred that he has acquired towards Disney and although I am 100 percent in agreement with him, the marvel series or movies are things that I still manage to enjoy despite that , but it shows that nowadays everything that has to do with Disney / Marvel really disgusts him and that shows in his reviews,
bruh thanos and the infinity stones which was the main topic of the entire mcu for 10 years are literally some regular gems and a pussycat villain in loki lmao
I think the first scene shows why Sam didn't take it. He sees Steve as a symbol one that he can't live up to, that no one can and he sees Steve AS Captain America. He's Falcon, not Cap kind of like what Happy said to Peter in Far From Home about being the next Iron Man. And finally now that Steve's gone, Captain America is gone. It's time to move on, a similar thing is said by Karli in Episode 4. As for why the people are so accepting of Walker and why the government gave Walker the Shield in the first place, well let's think about what the shows and so far movies (or I guess just movie since Black Widow only has it's final scene in the present post Snap). After the events of Endgame the world was left in a pretty confused place, one probably just as chaotic as when the Snap first happened. People are coming back 5 years later to a completely different world as is said in the show constantly. Family members are older and in different places in thier lives, people are struggling finnincially like Sam was in the show, etc while for the people that were on earth the whole time they had to go through the initial shock together. As such the world became more united, borders were open, countries were helping eachother, etc. Because of this conflicted world the government probably wanted a figure the people could look up to for reasurance and security, Captain America. And that's why the people are so accepting of him, Walker isn't just a random nobody they took from the street. He's a war hero who has won medals and proved himself to not only the government but the people at large. TL;DR Sam sees Cap as a symbol he will never live up to, the government is trying to mend the state of the world and Walker is a public war hero.
I like the MCU and I thought The Falcon and The Winter soldier was medicore and boring the action pales in comparison to the action in the Captain America trilogy and those movies are in my 10 MCU movies especially the winter soldier
@@EricCarter12 The part where you were talking the message in the last episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier and how the Star Wars show did that better. If that's not a message then my mistake.
“Don’t call them terrorists!” Dude, they ARE terrorists. But I guess we need a Black Lives Matter speech in the end. Btw, I loved Walker. He had one of the better arcs in the show. Unfair to send DEATH THREATS to John Russell because you hate a character he portrays.
Hey there Eric, so after telling what I was able to find of the scrapped Wanda Vision screenplays I started to think of what screen plays were scrapped of Falcon and the Winter Soldiers and to make a long story short I found a couple of them that sounded good: 1. The different ending: In this screen play that I found it was all mostly the same for the first four episodes but it is when we got to the fifth and sixth that we got something going different. When Sam went to Isaiah giving him the reason to not take the shield and he had his old Falcon suit that he gave to his war buddy in episode 5. But as this went on the final battle would have been the same but the difference is that this was going to set up Zemo to be the villian in the next season but it got scrapped (more on that later). Sam also did not become that Captain America himself in the season but by the end of it he was going to start the training which would have taken him into the next season where he becomes the new Captain America at the end of the second season but it got scrapped and I will explain why at the end because all three of these got scrapped for the same reason all together. 2. Walker becoming the main Villian Now this one I actually thought could become the one but I am glad they did not go with this one just because it would have been to long. Again the first four episodes were the same but the fifth episode would have seen Walker winning the fight that he had with Sam and Bucky and he would be on the run and the rest of the season would have been hunting him down and the things with Zemo would have also been the same as the final version of the show where he goes to the raft. But then in the end they would find Walker and take the shield from him and but because they were focused on going after him the flag smashers would have been the villians again for the second season (again I am glad that they did not go with this one because I did not want to see more of these guys). Then the final thing would have had Sam again training with the shield as he would have became the new Captain America by the end of the second season. 3. The entire season Now just like WandaVision this screen pla could have been way better then anything we got. So it weekends with Sam who is trying to take up the shield but then out of nowhere Thunderbolt Ross and a bunch of other people say that he cannot have the shield due to the events of civil War and him being and him being a criminal at one point. They take the shield and give it to John Walker and this would be one of the only times that we see Red Hulk himself in this entire show. Then Bucky would have gone to Sam and ask why he gave up the shield and it would have made way more sense as to why he gave it up. We then cut to Zemo breaking out of jail and causing trouble for the heros and then Walker comes and tries to put Zemo away but he is unsuccessful and Zemo was actually the one to kill his friend Battle Star which would have seen Walker gone rogue and try to kill Zemobut he would be unsuccessful because of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, putting Zemo in the raft were we see Ross one more time and then Walker would have a hatred towards Sam and Bucky making him the villian for the second season. I honestly think that this was the one they should have went with instead of what they currently got. Now let me tell you why this was scrapped. (it's not as bad as the reason for WandaVision but I still think that it's a very stupid reason) The reason that none of these were chosen is because the final product was going to set up the Thunderbolt's which is Marvel's version of the Suicide Squad. The Team members have the names of Red Hulk, Us agent, Zemo, new Black Widow and more. Now I get why they did this but it honestly feels so forced and I think that they should honestly to do something like what John Wick and Friday the 13th and Elm street did. Meaning that they are setting this event up but we did not know until the very end, and it's something I wish they did more, but we got what we got and there is no going back and if you're wonder yes Eric #MarvelNeedsToChange 😤😤😤
@@og_fnafboy101 In a way, they did after looking back at the episode-pretty much him feeling unworthy in that "tell, don't show" speech at the beginning of E1. The problems that arose are: 1) the show deliberately leaves out Sam willingly and confidently taking the sheild and telling Cap that he'll do his best, as if it wants us to forget about that fact but makes Sam act out of character. 2) if we go with the whole "I feel unworthy of X" thing, we needed to be shown this struggle before he made that decision to relinquish that sheild, not an infodumped speech. 3) if Cap's alive, he'd been disappointed or saddened-or both- by the fact that his friend and successor gave up that sheild CARTER risked her neck out to get. There are probably more but I noticed a few times that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in E1 and E2, I believe, tells important things but won't show them, which makes it hard for me to care about the characters at times. It even perturbed me that Sam had the utter nerve to treat John Walker as an outsider because he took the shield Falcon had cowardly given up. They really did screw up Sam with this nonsense, and I'm on E4. So far Bucky, Battle Star, and Walker are the besr characters. I could care less about Sam.
Wow I pretty much agree with almost everything you brought up here. Especially your suggestion that they could have better established Falcons reasons early on as to why he gives up the shield 🤔. If they really wanted to drive home the race element (which they didn't need too since was never a vital part of Falcon's character beforehand but nevertheless), what they could have done is what you suggested. Have the government claim dubious ownership over the shield only for them to give it to John Walker so it can be made clear that they don't want the image of a black Captain America. In addition, had Sam brought this up earlier as a concern of his and then it later gets mirrored with his conversation with Isaiah Bradley then it would establish all that we need to know. Sidenote, I think that's also the reason why Sam referred to Isaiah as a black super soldier, was because the idea that there was another super soldier that happened to be black and could have been another Captain America is to inform Sam taking on the mantle later on, but again this motive needed to be established early on. Lastly, Many people have suggested that this could have easily been a movie, but it's clear Disney plus wanted to stretch it out to a show just so they could keep viewers around on the platform 🤔.

9:27 um....him being a black superhero IS an important detail because no one knew about him because he was black. It wasn't pointless, it's literally the point. A superhero wasn't honored or respected because of the color of his skin, so him being black is indeed a very important detail.
The scene where you said they used the music from Wanda hurting Vision in Civil War was actually the music from the scene in Winter Soldier. It was from the "I'm with you till the end of the line.” scene

I had no idea about all of those issues until you pointed them out .. big up to you and keep going 👍 It's refreshing really to hear about certain matters from a movie/series/entertainment channel because a lot of the realities that are happening in the world today are overshadowed in the movie and entertainment industry
I like the part when they broke his John’s arm trying to get the shield off
So did I. That was awesome.
I love seeing Disney being ripped on for their shit.

Question from Wanda vision and Falcon and Winter Solider which Main Villain did you prefer?
I prefer the main villain from WandaVision. But that's only because the actress does a great job. The villain didn't even do anything villainous. All that credit goes to Wanda.
There are rumors out there that the villain in FAWS was heavily edited because of C19.

They should have put the scene where Bucky confesses to the guy whose son he killed in the fifth episode. They could have gone further with the emotions. Maybe have the guy freak out and force Bucky to leave or quietly pull away when Bucky would try to approach him after confessing. If they put it in the fifth episode they still could have had the scene and kept the heavy drama.
Hey Eric guess what, Disney is apparently trying to get rid of the name of Boba Fett ship the Salve 1 because it has the word Slave on it……..Yup
So they have a problem with the word "Slave" even though they have no problem filming their movie next to a Concentration Camp. It just shows how full of crap they are and how their representation methods are completely meaningless.
Wait a minute, because a word "salve" spells "slave" if you switch the letters around, it's a no go?!
I agree that Walker's redemption arc should've been longer but I don't think he was ever a bad guy. The pressure of being Captain America got to him and he couldn't handle it but he was never going to be actually evil because he's still a good person who just did a bad thing.
That Cop scene in episode 2 made my eyes rolled over.
Omg 🤮
I still can’t believe that the new Captain America was played by Zook from 22 Jump Street!
Can you do Monster Hunter vs Love and Monsters. They're both adventure monster movies.
I like to think he’s playing a scheme to try to get power to try and steal the shield
(BTW I'm Asian)
Everyone can understand and relate to that in their own way.

Hey Eric, are you planning on watching the Black Widow movie now that it's finally out?
What is this music called in 42:32 where Eric reveals the truth about the message that Disney was trying to give us?
I agree with almost everything in this review. It boggles my mind that the flagsmashers got so much sympathy from Sam after threatening his family. And walker ended up being the best part of the show
What I’m not on board with is that they set him up to be a villain and then redeemed him.

Hey there Eric, so after telling what I was able to find of the scrapped Wanda Vision screenplays I started to think of what screen plays were scrapped of Falcon and the Winter Soldiers and to make a long story short I found a couple of them that sounded good:
1. The different ending:
In this screen play that I found it was all mostly the same for the first four episodes but it is when we got to the fifth and sixth that we got something going different.
2. Walker becoming the main Villian
Now this one I actually thought could become the one but I am glad they did not go with this one just because it would have been to long.
3. The entire season
Now just like WandaVision this screen pla could have been way better then anything we got.
(it's not as bad as the reason for WandaVision but I still think that it's a very stupid reason)
The reason that none of these were chosen is because the final product was going to set up the Thunderbolt's which is Marvel's version of the Suicide Squad. The Team members have the names of Red Hulk, Us agent, Zemo, new Black Widow and more.
Now I get why they did this but it honestly feels so forced and I think that they should honestly to do something like what John Wick and Friday the 13th and Elm street did.
Meaning that they are setting this event up but we did not know until the very end, and it's something I wish they did more, but we got what we got and there is no going back and if you're wonder yes Eric
#MarvelNeedsToChange 😤😤😤
I'm rewatching this series, and it's getting annoying that Sam keeps justifying his decision of rejecting the shield.
@@jge8144 it made no sense why he gave it up without an explanation as to why
@@og_fnafboy101 In a way, they did after looking back at the episode-pretty much him feeling unworthy in that "tell, don't show" speech at the beginning of E1. The problems that arose are:
1) the show deliberately leaves out Sam willingly and confidently taking the sheild and telling Cap that he'll do his best, as if it wants us to forget about that fact but makes Sam act out of character.
@@jge8144 I agree and I kind of feel like it should have been Bucky to be the one to take the shield instead of Sam

I was bored when i watched this show i switched it around and liked Wandavision more. I Hope Loki will be able to break pass my boredom bc the trailer made it look really good but who knows
Love this format
9:27 um....him being a black superhero IS an important detail because no one knew about him because he was black. It wasn't pointless, it's literally the point. A superhero wasn't honored or respected because of the color of his skin, so him being black is indeed a very important detail.
When’s are you planning to release your next video?
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier was better than WandaVision imo.
Agreed I don’t get why so many people of WandaVision more
I do think WandaVision is Way Better but I respect your opinion
The falcon and the winter solidar was awesome in my opinion
The scene where you said they used the music from Wanda hurting Vision in Civil War was actually the music from the scene in Winter Soldier. It was from the "I'm with you till the end of the line.” scene
My problems with the show
1. Zemo barely used his purple mask
2. Episodes 1 and 5 were okay
I had more a problem they don't even explain the mask.
@@thefanwithoutaface8105 yeah, Zemo putting on that mask felt random, like it was doing a callback to Civil War-wait, did he wear it in CW?
hey eric, i remember once upon a time you did say you wanted to make a video on titans season 1 vs teen titans season 1. Still plan on doing that? Cause I would love to see you do it.
Judging how it's been a few years since then I doubt he will
@@heresnegan6825 well, you can always be hopeful
Hope you have fun watching Loki just saw the first episode and I found out it is a multiverse-ish show
Great video Eric, your style of editing is consistently fun and enjoyable to watch.
Keep up the great work 👍
Hey Eric, Falcon and the winter soldier is a good marvel show,
45:48 you don’t have too it’s your choice Eric it’s your channel, your rules do what you want
