So for the last 5 months I was dating a girl I met in my new city. It was the first time I had ever dated a girl who had a child. It was also my first relationship after Isabella and my first relationship where I was completely loyal and faithful. We spent every day of those 5 months together, and even though that sounds like an extremely short amount of time, the intensity of it led me to fall very fast, and very hard. I met her son. I met her friends. I took her to my hometown, introduced her to my friends, and my family. It all happened so fast. We were inseparable, hooked to one another, which is why it was so difficult to accept what happened next...One day, after taking her son to karate class, I found out she was cheating on me with multiple different men. One of them being her ex fiancé, who it turns out she had cheated on as well. I found out almost everything she told me about her past was a lie. It completely broke me. I had fallen in love with a stranger. The person I fell for didn’t exist. I finally turned over a new leaf and tried to become a better person and a good boyfriend, just to be manipulated and betrayed. Maybe it’s karma, maybe I deserved it, or maybe that’s just what I tell myself to try and understand how someone can do that to someone they “love.” This song is about that girl 🖤
