Here's my recommendation for your next B-M reaction: Any of their last 60 songs! Band-Maid is the hard rock Beatles of our time! Composition, Execution, Consistency, Uniqueness, Charisma and Charm. Oh yeah... and Cute as hell!
Bass and guitar talk, "Take me higher" (live). You will be mighty impressed. And, watch "Freedome" (live) you will just fall in love with all of them. It's an amazing clip from their concert DVD. And "secret MY lips" (live) just great performance, pure joy. Kanami is a genius, soft spoken, quiet type, reads books at home. Misa just doesn't talk much LOL. There maybe bands which have superior individual musicians. But, Band Maid is special because how they all gel together as a group that's creating some great and awesome rock songs. A band that also is amazing live as well. (edit: added 1 more song name).
Kanami is a well-brought up lady , so she does not even know light dirty jokes. She is always laid-back. BUT She is a completely different person when with a guitar.
Band-Maid kick ass on so many levels. The Maid look comes from Maid Cafes which are popular in Japan. They are café/restaurants where the waitresses are dressed as maids and they pamper their customers. Miku, the second vocalist who formed the band, used to work in a maid café. Cheers John.
For me _'Iron Maiden'_ was the only band where I experienced that. Then I saw these ladies, who proceeded to melt my ear drums and heart at the same time, hehe.

It's fun to watch you sit there with a smile on your face while discovering this band. I did the same thing. Misa has her own cult following. Every member of Band Maid is excellent and even though Miku seems to be overshadowed by the others she is the one who assembled the group, is pretty much the public face and also writes the lyrics (whatever they are) I believe. They have a couple of acoustic things out there too which will show you the true versatility of their playing as it's definitely NOT hard rock or metal. Kanami can also play piano. Akane, Misa and Kanami all went to music school too, I think. There is a LOT of talent on that stage when play. They aren't your typical rockers.

I've seen then three times. Believe me, they are better live than the studio recordings

There are too many good bands out there, but the contrast make them being more interesting.
Try the song BUBBLE, by band maid. Also Take my Chance bythe band (DOLL BOX)
