Although Band Maid is to a certain extent flying under the radar since they don't get airplay or play large festivals outside Japan they have a literally world wide highly supportive and devoted fan base. People literally travel thousands of miles/KM - in one recent case from Australia to the U.S. - to see them. And although they have some very good music videos they are at their best live - both because of their musicianship and even more importantly because they love to play and they put on an awesome show and enjoy interacting with the audience.
They love when audience sing along with them. so, many of their song have those nanana or lalala. Band maid have 60+ song, and none of them are bad. It's either good, really good, or amazing. Edit : nice reaction btw.

Since you asked, this is a band that has a world class rhythm section. MISA on bass, Akane on drums and Kanami (main song writer) on lead guitar. Add to that Miku ( band founder, main lyricist, rhythm guitar, vocals, twin tails), along with the sultry lead vocals of Saiki and you have a self-contained hard rock band with superstar potential. Some other live songs to consider: "Moratorium", "Puzzle", "Take Me Higher" plus many more. Studio music videos "YOLO", "Choose Me" and "Dice" are all excellent and I've only scratched the surface here. Thanks much for the great reaction.
Glad you enjoyed Band Maid, you have a lot of pleasure to come. I have never been on Twitch but I will give it a try. My next sugestion for you is Baby Metal " Headbanger" live Makuhari Messi. Good luck . See You.
MISA! MISA! MISA! Taking up the mantel where Wester Bands have left the sound behind, Band Maid is 'Holding the Line' in Solid Guitar Rock! They are currently my favorite Hard Rock Band, World Wide! They just Rock! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!

Welcome aboard, Grumpy Nerd. You are embarking on (along with many others) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of rock n’ rollers. Their Composition, Execution, Consistency (over 80 songs!), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor (IMHO) position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destine for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound and stage appearance is off the rails spectacular - far better than any other band I’ve heard. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 50 favorites! "Thrill" is a great place to start. Their newer songs drive even more - Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written slower tunes like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story and Smile... or more punky like Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or poppy like Start Over… or cultural like Band-Maiko! Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE concerts such as ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids. Here’s two great back-to-back videos taken by Vladimir Chupin of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at a super intimate venue: ua-cam.com/video/RxmRiWHZ3TI/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support / purchase some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BR & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings... especially after seeing them play it LIVE. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days, Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. Check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.). Saiki Atsumi “Ice Queen" - High Priestess mediator between the Gods (Band Members) and the masters and princesses (Fans). Lead vocals, arrangements & melodies, 25 years old & youngest. Heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away the persona. Her charisma and voice focus the experience. Miku Kobato "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, oldest at 28. Band founder, MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po. Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kurrupo! No, no, no… KURRUPO!! Kanami Tono “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 27 years old, writes most of the material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose "Gorilla" - Drums, 27 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) all while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumRilla” is the Party! MISA "Assassin" - Bass, 28 year old closet goofball and off-stage band comedian. The Mysterious One literally kills it… every note.. barefoot… uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
I love it when I watch someone find Band-Maid for the first time. The look of surprise and amazement mirroring my own. I never get tired of it. Band-Maid is by far and away the best band out there right now. But there are tons of amazing Japanese bands out there. Aldious, D_Drive, Asterism, Doll$Box, and so many others. I'd recommend Asterism Rising Moon ua-cam.com/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/v-deo.html
_Band Maid_ can melt your heart and your eardrums at the same time. I won't suggest one of their songs, just that you do the live version when possible, po.
Welcome to the beautiful amazing world of Band Maid. Check out Secret My Lips (my favorite), Real Existence, Don't You Tell Me live, Domination, Choose Me, Dice, Puzzle live, , You, Alone, Awkward and so many more. And be sure to check out their April Fools day alter ego Band Maiko where they dress in traditional geisha outfits and add traditional Japanese instruments to the mix. They are the most amazing band on the planet and their fans are legion and will explode your channel.
Band-Maid fans or fanatics are some of the most dedicated and hardcore. I saw them at the Echoplex in LA last month. I drove 369 miles from Sacramento and met people in line from Seattle, Phoenix, NYC, Texas and l know Dave was there from Australia. This is the best hard rock band on the planet today. My little drive was nothing.
JIMMY PAGE OF ( LED ZEPPELIN ) loves this band. He met the group back stage and asked if he could have his picture taken with the drummer( AKANE ) she thought it was a dream ( it was not ) a rock legend like that giving props to the girls, how awesome is that. Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in 2016. He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best. SHRED ON LADIES......
Great reaction. I just found out about Band Maid this summer. Liked them so much went to their concert in NYC in September. They are awesome live. First song I heard from them was "Take Me Higher" The back and forth between MISA on bass and Kanami on guitar during solos is awesome. Nobody slaps the bass like MISA. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/vFyYiPDZzdw/v-deo.html
The best thing is how this band started. Miku (guitar and back vocals) worked in a Maid Cafe (that's where the name came from) and she always wanted to be a rockstar, so she looked on the internet for the best not-so-known musicians and started this awesome band. The main vocalist didn't know about the stage outfits at first. Miku didn't really know how to play guitar at that time. Dice and Don't Tell Me (Live) are two of my fav songs. If you're interested there is ajapanese band called Bridear with a power metal-ish vibe, check their song "Light In the Dark".
Truth is you can't go wrong with the Maids. The song I use as an intro to the uninitiated is "the non-fiction days". It is an absolute face melter. One thing about Band Maid is a great many of their songs are designed with fan participation in mind. Lots and lots of WHOA WHOA WHOAs and YA YA YAs. It is a fabulous live experience.
The song is from a 15 song DVD they put out BAND-MAID - WORLD DOMINATION at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST kafkasjmusic.wordpress.com has all their lyrics Ladies just did 5 shows in the US so there is alot of raw and up close footage.
The bass-player, MISA, gets a lot of love in the composition and mixing of BAND-MAID songs, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to enjoy her playing in other songs. I recommend you go for Don't you tell ME (live) for a great call-and-response face-off "battle" between MISA and lead-guitarist/music-composer Kanami. Here's a link: ua-cam.com/video/foqErbEw05o/v-deo.html Be sure to notice how much fun the band has when they play. MISA, Kanami, and drummer Akane are such masters of their instruments that they are able to be very playful onstage, and grinning big grins, while they perform, without compromising the quality of their performances. And their joy is infectious! This quality makes their "live" performances preferable to their studio work, in many fans opinions (and the guitar battles are reserved for live performances).
Best band-maid Lives for react: Puzzle, don't you tell me, Take me higher, Yolo, Real existance, secret my lips. Best music videos: Domination, Alone, Dice, Choose me.
Who would have thought 5 tiny, young Japanese women could throw down a punkish hard rock sound like this? I agree with you about the chorus sing-along part. Some of their songs are cookie-cutter, as in, they have the same formula; start off hard and aggressive, a pre-chorus leading to a "pop" sounding chorus, back to hard. Most of their songs have a bridge, which is unheard of in modern popular music, and some have a coda. Welcome to the world of BAND-MAID. Prepare to be dominated.
This song is about 70% English, but the singer only speaks a bit of English, so with her accent and pronunciation, it's hard to tell. They put a fair bit of English into every song, and you kind of notice lines extra every time you listen. The intro for this song isn't the same as the studio version. They often add extra bits for live performances. Sometimes that means an extra intro, or it can mean a guitar battle - there was one on the clip that came up next on your screen "Take Me Higher" ua-cam.com/video/vFyYiPDZzdw/v-deo.html Overall they have quite a ridiculous number of very strong songs. That one gets suggested a lot for the intro, simply because it's slaps you in the face and announces "we are Band-Maid, and this is what we do"
Some of the best "rock/metal" I've heard in a long time is comming out of japan,, bandmaid is my favorite but check out others as well, Iron bunny is really good I would like to see misa go up against flea Kaname go up against angus Ive been told im a sel out but rockers know what they like
Yes, Rock and Roll is alive and well in the hands of 5 extraordinarily talented and beautiful ladies from Japan. They are currently the best R and R band in the world. Jimmy Page likes them especially the drummer, who he compared to John Bonham. They just finished their 2019 tour here in LA with 2 sold out shows. Your reaction is the norm for this band, Welcome aboard!
Hey my Friend, I JUST DISCOVERED BANDMAID MYSELF! I’m BLOWN AWAY! There are some other good Female Japanese Bands but, none of them come close to BANDMAID! EACH BAND MEMBER IS AN ABSOLUTE PRO WITH INCREDIBLE TALENT!
Had previuosly seen some of your later reactions to BAND-MAID. When I saw that this is your first "serving" of the Maids, LOL. This man is about to have his musical world rocked.
For band-Maid recommendations focused on the bassist, any of the live stuff. Take Me Higher has a good call and answer segment with the guitarist IIRC. Onset is fabulous for everything. Not sure if there’s a publicly accessible video for Clang, but it has a good funky bass solo. Dang, there just aren’t any bad songs by these girls. The rabbit hole is deep and well worth the trip. I spent my first money on music in decades on this band. First show I’ve been to in years. This band has totally revitalized my love of, and enthusiasm for music. I’ve seen them twice now and can’t wait for them to come back again next year. Friends and I have discussed a trip to Japan to catch Band-Maid and others. Mary’s Blood, Drop’s D_Drive, Doll&box, Bridear, and so many others.
My suggestion for your next BAND-Maid reaction would be... Type 'band maid live' in the UA-cam search bar and pick any live BAND-MAID performance, excluding fancams, that comes up, especially anything that's live from Zepp Tokyo. I'm not kidding. You won't be disappointed. They are, literally, that good.
You haven't seen anything yet! Welcome to your new favorite band! You should see the guitar Battles! there's a Battle in 'Take Me Higher' LIVE and 'Don't You Tell Me'. But it's not just the songs with Battles. Pretty much every song from their Tokyo Zepp Concert is amazing! "Moratorium', 'Domination' the list goes on and on. Even the instrumental is awesome.
The Bass player is Misa and she is a world-class bassist to me, one of the best in the music industry. Band-Maid Members: Saiki Atsumi, Miku Kobato, Kanami Tōno, Akane Hirose, MISA have been around since 2013 and their debut album came out in 2014, they have multiple MV on UA-cam and several official music videos. I have all of their 5 albums and every song is a monster, I can suggest many songs that are my favorites but there is a new song that is an unreleased they only play live shows and it's an instrumental and the name of the song is "Onset" here is a link to it ua-cam.com/video/ud0pxII3YwM/v-deo.html Listen to Lovebites ua-cam.com/video/k3wyUbfl6TY/v-deo.html Listen to Aldious ua-cam.com/video/Eo89hEJ2rsM/v-deo.html all are female bands of Jmetal/Jrock/ Jpop
Band-Maid (formed 2013) Miku Kobato (founding member, rhythm guitar, 2nd vocal, lyrics); Kanami Tōno (lead guitar, backing keyboards tracks, primary song writer) ; Misa (base); Akane Hirose (Drums); Saiki Atsumi (lead vocal) Wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Band-Maid Miku is the originator of the maid theme based on Maid-Café job. The first year and a half, they had an eclectic repertoire, meeting with the most success with metal influenced hard rock combined with J-Pop influenced vocal style. (Playlist collections - live, no post-processing) Band-Maid (live) - Melkweg/Amsterdam - Without a doubt the best amateur video of them. (music starts at 1.50) ua-cam.com/video/2BDFic7j45c/v-deo.html Band-Maid (live) - I ua-cam.com/video/CvLfGwT-4Zk/v-deo.html Band-Maid (live) - II ua-cam.com/video/FaO8tOG0iVY/v-deo.html
Feel good rock at it's best. If you're an out and out screaming metal head you may find some choruses a bit "light" but they do it for a reason. They often put in "sing-along" sections in their tracks for foreign audiences, it helps a non Japanese speaker get involved in the gig. That being said you can't deny their talent. Saw them live in London last November and just lost my heart to these ladies. More Band Maid please. Real Existence or Moratorium or Don't You Tell Me (all live of course) are all worth checking out.😁
The live version of BAND-MAID song is better than the studio recording. I recommend "PUZZLE (live)" "Choose me (live)" "Day dreaming (live)", these 3 songs to you. 👍😍👍😎
Band Maid- Don't you tell me (live) epic bass vs guitar play off. Or Lovebites - Shadowmaker for all Japanese female power metal with face shredding solos.
Thank you for the reaction. Band-Maid is an insanely good and funny band. Here are some other awesome songs from them, you gotta check them out. ua-cam.com/video/foqErbEw05o/v-deo.html Don't you tell me (live) - Band Maid ua-cam.com/video/ud0pxII3YwM/v-deo.html Onset (live) - Band Maid (instrumental song) ua-cam.com/video/3OuO0pgCBUo/v-deo.html Puzzle (live) - Band Maid And many many more, I cannot list all of them here.
THE best band on planet earth = BAND-MAID. these GIRLS ROCK!!! And don't forget to thank stephen wilson every day for the rest of your life. BAND-MAID IS THAT GOOD. Filthy Slap aka MISA!
Play and Moratorium are 2 songs that were, according to an interview, specifically made with foreign live performances in mind, with choruses of just sounds the audience could follow no matter what language they spoke. Both have incredible live videos on youtube. If you want some crazy live-only solo stuff, check out Don't You Tell Me live (especially if you like the bass player) and Take Me Higher live. For recorded songs, DICE and Domination will probably be right up your alley, the former showing off the bass player (MISA) again. Also, I've seen them live in their US tour back in September. While the live stuff on UA-cam has been cleaned up a bit, they still fucking slay live.
I love bandmaid not only for their music but they actually follow me back on Twitter! They are the most intense band I have heard ever! Love Japanese rock, Visuel Kei ..and Jpop!
Dice (music video) is a good bass song. "Dont you tell me" and "Take me Higher" are some of my favorite of their live performances from this concert. There are a TON of good songs, so you have a lot of content to go through :) . EDIT: Thrill, alone, and Domination are some good music videos. I prefer the music videos to live for those songs mainly because you hear the different parts better.
I consider "Play" to be one of their weaker songs. If you want to get your socks blown off, try "Puzzle", "Turn Me On", "Take Me Higher", or "Don't You Tell Me" to see how accomplished these girls are technically as musicians.
I think this is one of their quintessential songs, showing the crue/GnR near metal with melodic hooks and callbacks. They’re somewhere in the 10-20% English actually overall, aware of its international appeal. This chorus I find great to sing along, but “yeah yeah, la lala lala, whoa oh woo oh” makes it tough to defend the substance!
@@timgove5337 Each to his taste and don't get me wrong, it's not a bad song. For me, it's very conventional, not to mention short. Maybe I've just heard it too many times. For any other band, it would be a great song. Aside from the solos in the opening, it only gives you a small taste how talented these girls are on their instruments and how accomplished they've become as songwriters. If I had to recommend a Band-maid song to someone who's knows nothing about them, I would choose something that would make jaws drop. As for the smattering of English, that is very common in Japanese music in general. Hell, it seems almost a requirement at times to have some English in a song and sometimes it makes sense and sometimes doesn't. The only explanation I have is that Japanese think English sounds cool. That goes back to the early 70's when a new generation of musicians came forward who were heavily influenced by British and American rock, a genre which was called "New Music".
This was actually originally supposed to be an instrumental, they kind of shoe-horned in the vocals after the fact, which is why the chorus was so full of "oh oh wah wah".
If you like one band-maid song, you'll probably like 10 more band-maid songs. If you also like ballads, prog, metal Jazz-blues-fusion or combination of everything, your favorites will keep multiplying. Welcome to band-maid pigeon hole.
Welcome! Your journey into Japanese female rock bands has begun. Some other groups: Love Bites Mary's Blood Aldious I'm not good on remembering song names(or people's names-lol-old age) But I'm sure others will help you along. There is another group, BABYMETAL. They have created a genre called kawaii metal(cute metal). Their song names I do remember. Road of Resistance Headbanger Death Rondo of Nightmare. Lots lots more. BABYMETAL just finished touring the USA. Band Maid may have been out on tour recently also, not sure.
Been following Band Maid since thier early days. They gone from solid rock band to simply amazing in everything they do. You should also check out Maiko Maid.😉
Lead Guitarist writes all the music and arrangements, and the rhythm guitar writes the words and had the concept for this band. The lead guitar, bass, and drummer are all multi-instrumentalists with music degrees, and the lead singer is just naturally good. One of my favorite bands of all time (#1 or #2, no further down than #3 ... they just don't have any bad songs .. maybe one or two that you may not like the style of, but you're still not going to be able to say it's not among the best of its style.) Their back-story and stage story is incredible as well, but you should listen to a few more of their songs before you have to get into that.+ Not sure how much you are into the Japanese scene or Asian music scene in general, but there is so much awesome talent over there it's incredible .. they don't just beat the west in 'bullet trains', they're also knocking it out of the park in music. IF you like all styles of music then you will need to check into Asian bands/singers like: Dimash KZ Tandingan Hua Chenyu One OK Rock BABYMETAL Tangri and so many more that have redefined what it means to be skilled in music.
Dude you are in for a pleasant ride, I'm in my 50's and for me hard Rock has been dead the last decade until I found these ladies back in 2016 with their music video Real Existence. They are bay far better Live but their videos are not bad. Stay with reacting to the Live videos from that Zepp concert in Tokyo. Every one of these band members can hold their own. I have been fortunate to have seen them play twice last year and this year in LA ( where I live). They just get better and better. I saw Baby Metal a few years ago and that was an entertaining concert at the Palladium in LA. Band-Maid is just about playing great Rock music. The bass player Misa!!!! Misa!!!!! Misa!!!!! is also my favorite. She is not a stand up straight bassists. Misa is an in the trenches digging deep type player. Her nickname is "the Assassin". I love her funky beats. Akane's (my 2nd fave) machine gun beats on the drums is amazing. Oh yeah check out the Live videos Onset and Don't you Tell Me. Enjoy the music
This band kicks ass! Misa is amazing. Like your reaction. If you like female rock bands then check out The Warning. They are three sisters from Mexico. Dany on guitar is 19, Pau on drums is 17 and Ale on base just turned 15. They are starting their US Tour at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood on January 15th. They have released two CD’s. This band also has a huge following known as The Warning Army. They are fully funded by their fans on Patreon. Check out Dust to Dust, Sinister Smiles,Unmendable, Copper Bullets, Survive, Hunter, Stalker or The One. These are some of my favorites. There are several live performances from Live at Lunario, Foro DiDi and several other concerts. Pau, the drummer is awesome and actually plays and is the lead singer on Dust to Dust and The End (Stars always seem to Fade). She also sings in Sinister Smiles and Survive. You will get a lot of followers and comments regarding this band because of their loyal fan base.
If you think that was good... They have numerous bangers like this. Check out Don't You Tell Me live (their live versions often feature extra guitar and bass solos).
You don' tlove the chorus?? Don't worry, you will. It will grow on you. They are a super talented hard/heavy rock band where each member brings their own huge talent to form this..........musical entity, to the point where each member of the band is irreplaceable to the bands sound and direction. I've been listening to these ladies for a couple of years now and I LOVE watching peoples reactions to them. Here are some more clips to check out from one the finest rock bands on the planet. I hope you enjoy your Band Maid journey (no doubt you will). PUZZLE Live - @ DON'T YOU TELL ME live - ua-cam.com/video/foqErbEw05o/v-deo.html with some bass and guitar call/responce DOMINATION MV - @ Live - @ DICE MV - @ CHOOSE ME Live - @ BUBBLE MV - @ FREEDOM Live- @ This clip shows you how much they enjoy themselves and how quick they react on the fly... Saiki (singer) is lost in the crowd so Miku (rhythm guitar) has to take over the lead vocals. There are plenty more songs both MV's and Live, but this should keep you busy for a while. Enjoy.
Welcome to the world of MISA, Miku, and Mincho...and Akane and Saiki. Behold, the best rock band currently on the planet. BTW, bassist MISA plays live barefoot and swigs beer and whiskey at gigs.
🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!! 🤘🤘 Oh yes!! Okay so Don't You Tell Me live by them. It has a fantastic call and repeat breakdown between MISA (bass) and Kanami (lead guitar) that's just tasty!!! 😁🤘🤘
Not for reaction but I thought you should check out this fancam recording compilation from their recent US tour... and see how they have upgraded Play for fun, with a new 1-minute intro. ua-cam.com/video/M3r9_XBwqNY/v-deo.html Otherwise I don’t think you really need recommendations because almost all their 60+ songs are fantastic. Their Live pro shot versions are usually better than their music videos, and often different because they add new intros and re-arrangements for their live shows.
Yoooo. I had no idea this band had such an amazing following. I will be picking the top requested song for the next reaction! In the meantime. Follow my twitch to see the best live reaction show out there! 4 nights a week. Can you make the playlist? Thanks for the amazing feedback and support!!
Although Band Maid is to a certain extent flying under the radar since they don't get airplay or play large festivals outside Japan they have a literally world wide highly supportive and devoted fan base. BAND MAID “Moratorium”

Here’s two great back-to-back videos taken by Vladimir Chupin of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at a super intimate venue: ua-cam.com/video/RxmRiWHZ3TI/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support / purchase some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BR & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo
Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings... especially after seeing them play it LIVE. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days, Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. Check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are: (Ages are best est.).
MISA! MISA!
a little taste of band-maid dude, try band-maid puzzle live
I love it when I watch someone find Band-Maid for the first time. The look of surprise and amazement mirroring my own. I never get tired of it.
Band-Maid is by far and away the best band out there right now. But there are tons of amazing Japanese bands out there. Aldious, D_Drive, Asterism, Doll$Box, and so many others.
I'd recommend Asterism Rising Moon
ua-cam.com/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/v-deo.html
Oh hell yes.
Asterism.
_Band Maid_ can melt your heart and your eardrums at the same time.
I won't suggest one of their songs, just that you do the live version when possible, po.
Yap, Puzzle by Band Maid would be a good pick.
Can’t even pick my favorite, but my vote goes to Alone.
My Favorite? Whichever one happens to be playing.
Yes alone and puzzle would be a death threat
Welcome to the beautiful amazing world of Band Maid. Check out Secret My Lips (my favorite), Real Existence, Don't You Tell Me live, Domination, Choose Me, Dice, Puzzle live, , You, Alone, Awkward and so many more. And be sure to check out their April Fools day alter ego Band Maiko where they dress in traditional geisha outfits and add traditional Japanese instruments to the mix. They are the most amazing band on the planet and their fans are legion and will explode your channel.
The one and only Band-Maid.
The best there is within the hard rock scen.
You gonna blow up your socks now on. Have the journey of your life 🙂🤘
Love BAND-MAID
Please react to their song"Don't you tell me"live!
Hope you enjoy it!
He met the
group back stage and asked if he could have his picture taken with the drummer(
AKANE ) she thought it was a dream ( it was not ) a rock legend like that
giving props to the girls, how awesome is that.
Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in
2016. He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy
Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best.
The song is from a 15 song DVD they put out BAND-MAID - WORLD DOMINATION at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST
kafkasjmusic.wordpress.com has all their lyrics
Ladies just did 5 shows in the US so there is alot of raw and up close footage.
The whole point of the chorus is to get the audience involved
Band Maid: Real existence, Domination, Don't You Tell Me.
Here's a link:
ua-cam.com/video/foqErbEw05o/v-deo.html
Be sure to notice how much fun the band has when they play.
Thanks TGN! Check out their instrumental "Onset" from last year live at Zepp Tokyo. No Remorse! Thanks for the fun reaction!
That one gets suggested a lot for the intro, simply because it's slaps you in the face and announces "we are Band-Maid, and this is what we do"
Band Maid "Don'you tell me" live. A great bass guitar battle. Welcome to amazing journey with a super talented young japanese girl.
That shit was U N R E A L !!!! I LOVE reaction videos, keep em comin! This band is so ILL!
Theres another great intro from the bassist on the song "turn me on! Live" By band maid
Some of the best "rock/metal" I've heard in a long time is comming out of japan,, bandmaid is my favorite but check out others as well,
Iron bunny is really good
I would like to see misa go up against flea
Kaname go up against angus
Ive been told im a sel out but rockers know what they like
Yes, Rock and Roll is alive and well in the hands of 5 extraordinarily talented and beautiful ladies from Japan.
Oh cool Bandmaid ! That means BABYMETAL is soon on the menu. Can't wait for you to react to BABYMETAL - Gimme Chocolate.
BABYMETAL then Scandal.
BAND-MAID are just fantastic. Please check out their "Moratorium" live!
Cute asian girls are the saviours of Hard rock music!
Alone/MV , Dice /MV , Puzzle/Live, Moratorium/Live , Choose me/Live , Domination/Live......Well, there are so many that I can't write them all.
Omg your face gets me every time when you hear Misa's bass for the first time, half the views on this vid is me rewatching your facial expression 🤣
I have all of their 5 albums and every song is a monster, I can suggest many songs that are my favorites but there is a new song that is an unreleased they only play live shows and it's an instrumental and the name of the song is "Onset" here is a link to it ua-cam.com/video/ud0pxII3YwM/v-deo.html
Listen to Lovebites ua-cam.com/video/k3wyUbfl6TY/v-deo.html
Listen to Aldious ua-cam.com/video/Eo89hEJ2rsM/v-deo.html
all are female bands of Jmetal/Jrock/ Jpop
Band-Maid (formed 2013) Miku Kobato (founding member, rhythm guitar, 2nd vocal, lyrics); Kanami Tōno (lead guitar, backing keyboards tracks, primary song writer) ; Misa (base); Akane Hirose (Drums); Saiki Atsumi (lead vocal) Wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Band-Maid
Miku is the originator of the maid theme based on Maid-Café job. The first year and a half, they had an eclectic repertoire, meeting with the most success with metal influenced hard rock combined with J-Pop influenced vocal style.
(Playlist collections - live, no post-processing)
Band-Maid (live) - Melkweg/Amsterdam - Without a doubt the best amateur video of them. (music starts at 1.50) ua-cam.com/video/2BDFic7j45c/v-deo.html
Band-Maid (live) - I ua-cam.com/video/CvLfGwT-4Zk/v-deo.html
Band-Maid (live) - II ua-cam.com/video/FaO8tOG0iVY/v-deo.html
Welcome to th Dark Side, we have cookies and badass japanese rocking maids.
Here are some other awesome songs from them, you gotta check them out.
ua-cam.com/video/foqErbEw05o/v-deo.html Don't you tell me (live) - Band Maid
ua-cam.com/video/ud0pxII3YwM/v-deo.html Onset (live) - Band Maid (instrumental song)
ua-cam.com/video/3OuO0pgCBUo/v-deo.html Puzzle (live) - Band Maid
And many many more, I cannot list all of them here.
THE best band on planet earth = BAND-MAID. these GIRLS ROCK!!!
And don't forget to thank stephen wilson every day for the rest of your life. BAND-MAID IS THAT GOOD. Filthy Slap aka MISA!
Thank you great reaction. Next song Dice mv please.
They are awesome live. Seen them in Dallas. They have fun with the audience. Been a fan for Five years.
There's a new album coming out in a few weeks so don't miss it. There's no bad songs so don't be afraid.
5:47 React to this song next. Take Me Higher is dope!
見つかったか
Saw them about a month ago in NYC. They played 2 hours straight with 10 seconds between songs. They fucking shred.
I love bandmaid not only for their music but they actually follow me back on Twitter! They are the most intense band I have heard ever! Love Japanese rock, Visuel Kei ..and Jpop!
Your reactions to Bandmaid and Baby Metal is hilarious!! It's also how I reacted and I'm not a metal expert in the least.
Turn Me On お願い
@@cbmc1467 yes! ua-cam.com/video/KOtHLjV5cNo/v-deo.html
Misa's says her biggest influence for playing bass is the bassist from Pixies. They've had two bassists so I'm not exactly sure which one.
This was actually originally supposed to be an instrumental, they kind of shoe-horned in the vocals after the fact, which is why the chorus was so full of "oh oh wah wah".
Band Made "On set" is CRAZY GOOOOD.
more more Band-Maid.
I'm glad what you said about the lyrics and not needing to understand them and love the music. I think a lot of people feel that way about Band-Maid.
The chorus grows on you in time. Next thing you know, you’ll be humming it to yourself randomly.
Band-Maid is filthy that's why we like it kuruppo /,,/
If you like one band-maid song, you'll probably like 10 more band-maid songs.
If you also like ballads, prog, metal Jazz-blues-fusion or combination of everything, your favorites will keep multiplying.
Welcome to band-maid pigeon hole.
Welcome! Your journey into Japanese female rock bands has begun.
Some other groups:
Love Bites
Mary's Blood
Aldious
I'm not good on remembering song names(or people's names-lol-old age)
But I'm sure others will help you along.
There is another group, BABYMETAL.
They have created a genre called kawaii metal(cute metal). Their song names I do remember.
Road of Resistance
Headbanger
Death
Rondo of Nightmare. Lots lots more.
BABYMETAL just finished touring the USA. Band Maid may have been out on tour recently also, not sure.
The next song you had coming up"take me higher" live is another awesome and you should also check out.
Been following Band Maid since thier early days. They gone from solid rock band to simply amazing in everything they do. You should also check out Maiko Maid.😉
Band-maid is one of my favorite bands that I discovered 9 months ago....I love misa the bassist
These are probably the best band on the planet right now, check any of their songs out as they don't do bad songs
My favorite BAND-MAID reaction video! Very similar to my own reaction.
Misaにしびれたでしょうw
Lead Guitarist writes all the music and arrangements, and the rhythm guitar writes the words and had the concept for this band. The lead guitar, bass, and drummer are all multi-instrumentalists with music degrees, and the lead singer is just naturally good. One of my favorite bands of all time (#1 or #2, no further down than #3 ... they just don't have any bad songs .. maybe one or two that you may not like the style of, but you're still not going to be able to say it's not among the best of its style.)
Their back-story and stage story is incredible as well, but you should listen to a few more of their songs before you have to get into that.+
Not sure how much you are into the Japanese scene or Asian music scene in general, but there is so much awesome talent over there it's incredible .. they don't just beat the west in 'bullet trains', they're also knocking it out of the park in music.
IF you like all styles of music then you will need to check into Asian bands/singers like:
Dimash
KZ Tandingan
Hua Chenyu
One OK Rock
BABYMETAL
Tangri
and so many more that have redefined what it means to be skilled in music.
Always love the shock-factor alot of Reactions have first time listening. Yours so great
This band kicks ass!
What a first song to start with Bandmaid 😂
I feel like this is Japan seeing out rap/rock era and going "we can do that but probably better," and actually rocking the fucking house.
MISA MISA MISA! Puzzle ua-cam.com/video/3OuO0pgCBUo/v-deo.html
so friedrich nietzsche is now rocking out to this rock behemoth!😆
Thus spake Zarathusa-po!!
Yes. Top band.
Moratorium, Freezer, Dice are masterpieces.
PUZZLE Live - @
DON'T YOU TELL ME live - ua-cam.com/video/foqErbEw05o/v-deo.html with some bass and guitar call/responce
DOMINATION MV - @ Live - @
DICE MV - @
CHOOSE ME Live - @
BUBBLE MV - @
FREEDOM Live- @ This clip shows you how much they enjoy themselves and how quick they react on the fly...
Filthy GOOD!!!! These girls have tons of killer songs, and their better LIVE !!!!
Hard rock thrives in Japan.
Yo! I agree with the other comments, check out their song Moratorium Live - Dare you not to feel it when they go all Pantera for no reason...
Love BAND-MAID these women rock
The best band in the world right now !!!!!!!!!! Thats Band Maid !!!!!!!!
🤘🤘❤️🤘🤘 MISA MISA MISA!!!! 🤘🤘
Oh yes!! Okay so Don't You Tell Me live by them. It has a fantastic call and repeat breakdown between MISA (bass) and Kanami (lead guitar) that's just tasty!!! 😁🤘🤘
BAND-MAID is pretty good!
Please watch LIVE in Japan.
Not for reaction but I thought you should check out this fancam recording compilation from their recent US tour... and see how they have upgraded Play for fun, with a new 1-minute intro.
ua-cam.com/video/M3r9_XBwqNY/v-deo.html
Otherwise I don’t think you really need recommendations because almost all their 60+ songs are fantastic. Their Live pro shot versions are usually better than their music videos, and often different because they add new intros and re-arrangements for their live shows.
Give these guys a try … Man With A Mission "Dead End In Tokyo"
