First, is dozens of 20 and 30 something year old's standing around in the middle of the day instead of working, and second, vehicles that cost as much as the house it's parked in front of. Laziness and the inability to manage your money is NOT the governments problem, yet every year we dump billions of tax dollars into communities similar to the ones in this video HOPING it will make a change and of course it doesn't. At some point people have to change themselves. I'm part owner of a Tampa area business and we are constantly short on personnel. 20.-$25. /hr. start with overtime available and these are not rocket scientist positions. I'm going on 30 years now in management and the dilemma of trying to find people willing to work is only getting worse.

sigh... I know WHY charlie completely "missed the point". Tampa is a very spread out but massive metro area. It's the 18th largest in the country. It's sorta like LA where it's not immediately apparent where the hoods really are.
I really hope you visit this AREA again. Other than places mentioned by other comments, you should see Clearwater and New Port Richey. Tampa Bay is a HARD thuggin region.

Please stop Tampa is not hood. It's just low income areas. It's no neighborhood in Tampa that make you not want to walk or drive through them. I moved here seven years ago from the southside of Chicago and I have been all over the Bay area Tampa, Brandon, Temple Terrace, St. Pete and Clearwater.

This neighborhood looks much better and much cleaner than cites in California. Here in California cities are looking more like a 3rd world country slums where we have the highest number of homeless encampment, trash dumping everywhere and not to mention crackheads overtaking the cities.
