Everyone is contradicting each other. One says seat is soft, another says hard. One says rubber band effect is minimal, other says its a lot, one says rear room is for 2.5 persons, another says its for 3. One says fuel efficiency is average, another says its very good. One says manual is the better one, another says CVT is the better option. One says there is understeer, one literally said there's oversteer. One says ride is like duster, another says its bad. These idiots are making a fool out of us calling themselves experts. No objective tests. No measurement of space. No data to back up their claims. No hard comparison with other cars. All are fooling us. Better go to a showroom and get test drive. Form your own opinion.

    Spot-on, Raunak!
Who needs all the fancy electronics in the Sonet top variant for ₹ 3 lakhs plus?!? That's like charging an arm and a leg. I'd go for the magnificent powertrain with the smooth 1.0 lit. turbo petrol engine with the cylinder coating tech from the GT-R and the 156 HP 1.3 lit. 4-cylinder turbo, and the 7-step CVT transmission, and at the disruptive pricing expected.
Whatever happened to enjoying the drive and upping one's driving skills, instead of all the useless electronics? Think a lot of other manufacturers are deviating from the main purpose of the sheer pleasure of driving a car (or riding a motorcycle for that matter)!

cant deny even if the car does not meet expectation the way you have showcased the beauty of owning this car, nobody can resist buying it , you should be charging a premium to Nissan, amazing intro and well throuht through especially the black body color is a steal if it is the reality, features and mileage and most of all affordability to middle class against the rivals like sonnet, venue etc, this is a killer deal for prospects

best city car non turbo ka.....i have researched my car selection since 3 months and came to conlusion with magnite and tigor, though i chosed tigor coz of frequent highway travels(and better steering feedback and ncap 4 crashtest),but if it is for complete city use i would pick nissan 100% or...and those who are worried abt crash test stuff..i personally checked the pillars and it has strong pillars under engine..so if tested it will definitely ger 3-4 for sure.and bonus...magnite suv ka ground clearance will suit for any terrain u need not worry what will hit and the tyres are huge when compared to compact suv segment.

To all those here, just my perspective..I think Nissan targets the concept of
    1) Big, Proportionate looks, well laid out head, leg & shoulder Room for avg Indian size.
    2) A powertrain that's a balance between Performance & mileage with turbo aiding the midranges for ease of overtakes.
    3) Giving Gimmicks - current trend among segment but thoughtful (360° camera + TPMS+ Rear AC) .
    4) The DNA of an SUV with high seating position, wheel arc claddings, functional roof rails, cruise control.
.. Targets the customers who seeks the alternative for a so called premium hatches, Compact sedans, who avoids the base/mid variants of Compact SUVs..
I think Nissan positions it as competitor for KUV100, Ignis, freestyle, the upcoming Tata Hornbill and Renult Kiger.
I think Nissan targets Practicality, thoughtful & economical rather than on papers of Compact SUVs(no offense)

  • @truth-l9x
    @truth-l9x 4 роки тому

No need of diesel, with turbo petrol in competition. Which is lighter, cheaper & will win the race in long term point of view. As less weight lead to less suspension issues when car gets older... Less compression ratio leads to lesser engine issues when odometer counts in lakhs...It's the basics, i think Nissan has a winner in their hands if they keep prices as per speculations going in the air.
And one more Nissan keep spares sales outside authorized service center also...
Cause to be successful in india u have to do this...
    Hope for best, cheers nissan...

The way any and every car company has started launching these compact SUV's, it makes us ponder over that how some the of these car manufacturers are bravely venturing out in the premium hatchback segment which might see a downfall very soon seeing the kind of prices on offer for these compact SUV's. Also, it creates a doubt in the mind of a buyer that whether he should go in for a premium hatchback or a compact SUV. The tilt right now is in favour of these mini sub four meter SUV's and as we know the competition is going to be intense.

I am confused between two choices on what to buy .... ecosport or verna - both diesel manual....i understand both are different segments but the verna sx diesel and the ecosport top end are the ones that has impressed me the best so far and fall within the same price range...for me a fun to drive car with a good rear seat comfort and an acceptable mileage is the key ....my fear with both are as follows 1) Verna being a sedan with 165mm ground clearance......is a concern + this variant misses out on features like auto wipers and tyre pressure monitoring system which the ecosport has....2) Ecosport - Mileage & .although the car is praised by everyone.....on paper the power to torque ratio....peak torque 5 speed manual when others are offering 6 speed....just does not make sense to me.. how can a car with poor specs on paper compared to rivals be the best driver car from an engine perspective...shouldn't ecoposrt be underpowered compared to others ??

my first preference for any car is diesel + manual transmission
I believe this will affect the sales of car.
The vittara brezza comes with only petrol engine options, but the brand suzuki is promoting cng so much so it is fine for that.
but however this is not promoting cng by giving it built in.
so that's what I disliked about the car.

Now that the Petrol and Diesel are priced similarly it does not make any sense on spending 1- 1.5L extra on the same package. This car is aimed at city commutes and has perfect specs. Good HP and torque rating good suspension and light steering and an effective price. This car has potential to be a market disruptor.

The design is damn good, such a good looking car but people just don't buy cars for looks. service and maintenance plays a big point.. Best way to bring up service is by offering common service centre ( Nissan and Renault) .

The negatives were well highlighted, however since I am looking to buy my 1st car, this does look like a practical choice, I think nissan's target audience is someone like me who would consider a swift or i10 . The viewers of this channel are more educated in these matters, so kindly feel free to share you views on this comment.

    I personally think -
    1. Nissan are on the right ball with only petrol engine in option to choose.
    2. Nissan have to make good deal with dealerships then only they could get sales figures on the up-steep scale.

Nissan just needs to get it's act together on the service and spare parts front, just like Ford did with their India strategy - they made their weakness their strength by showing great transparency in the service cost and by lowering their spare parts pricing.
Come on Nissan, I believe you can finally taste success with this well-made product.

@@navin63897 They should do it very clearly, if they have really given it a go-ahead.
My first-hand experience with the servicing and spare parts cost has not been very satisfying. A close friend owns it, and invariably spends about 10-11k every 6-7 months when he gets his car serviced.
He owns the Nissan Terrano diesel.

    Great video :) i own 4 diesel
Cars but i think petrol makes more sense nowadays. petrol n diesel fuel costs almost same, petrol engines have started giving better mileage. Petrol car costs less and servicing costs less too. And being in NCr where Diesel car have 10 years life a petrol car with 15 years RC validity makes more sense.

To be honest Datsun RediGo cars are very useful for low budget owners...In my apartment only there are 7 to 9 RediGos...Atleast these people don't have to use bikes for 4 people...

I don't get this new obsession with all black interiors to make a car look and sound more sporty. A beige or lighter themed interior specially in this segment would make it feel roomier and lively and should be offered atleast as on option.

Very well explained sir 😎 with the amount of features at that price well definitely yes it's magnetic field will definitely attract alot of customers who would be eyeing on towards the sonet and the rivals 🌟 and Nissan is known for their Automatic transmissions and with the collab with Renault suspension drive and handling it's sure to make a mark in this segment for sure 😍
Yes Nissan will definitely miss out on those customers looking for the diesel engine but as customers are leaning towards the hybrid and electric segments by fractions it wouldn't make much of a miss 😎

considering their pricing, i think this is the best any manufacturer can come up with. I'm guessing the profit margin on this product would be very thin for Nissan.
