    What is the coolant capacity and is engine ice safe?

    Great video, thanks for taking the time to film the process. I was just curious, why did you need to swap the fans before reassembling?

      I was actually replacing a damaged radiator. Put the fans on the new one

    I am interested in your choice to keep the charcoal canister, does it cause a problem when racing?

      I kept it on at the time because my bike was kept indoors. It stops the gasoline from evaporating into the room. Other than that it has no affect on performance or racing. Just personal preference and small weight savings. It was eventually removed.

    Good job but why temp bypass?

      @og_racefactory  Рік тому +2

      For me, because mine was destroyed on a crash. Other than that I don't see much benefit to it. It makes start up much more difficult to get the engine to temp. This is a race bike so. I don't mind and it's one less thing that can fail. I don't recommend removing the thermostat for street bikes.

    Why bypass? Just curious…

      Bypasses are only done on race bikes and even then it's controversial if there are really any benefits. I did mine because it was damaged in a crash and the easiest route for me to get back on the track and racing. Many racers do the bypass to increase cooling, reduce weight, and simplify mechanics (no thermostat failure). But I think it's redundant, operating temps don't change, and it's harder to get to safe operating temp. Definitely not recommended for any street applications.

    why is that blue, should be pink!!!

      OEM coolant is pink usually. But I use a different coolant.

      @@og_racefactory Is there any better cooling for it?

    • @og_racefactory
      @og_racefactory  Рік тому +2

      @@labrador3473 not really, it's just that for racing the leagues require non glycol coolant.
