  • Rough footage from my next movie A Chechen Confession (time-code left on for copyright reasons)... a film about reporting and about whether it is possible at all to reflect "reality" in a movie, which is by definition a subjective construction of edited images and sounds. The film will have as a pretext my experience in Chechnya and it will decrypt the most common myths about the Chechens, including the widely accepted one about their supposed presence among anti-Western Islamist fighters in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is also a presentation of the traditional Chechen brands of Sufi Islam and of the local ceremonies. Here: the zikr of the Batal Haji brotherhood in Ingushetia... (Dan Alexe)

    this ceremony goes back to the pre Islamic time, people used to perform this “dance” before the battles, to get into that warrior state of mind, after the islamisation of the region people kept that ritual but adapted it to the new religion

    this is called " Majlis Assamaq", wahabi hate this, but Ahlul Assunah loves it's strengthen the brotherhood, among them, make their faith stronger, this ceremony is always sought after by Angels, usually they are in presence whenever such a ceremony is carried out on earth.
    Those who are against this, because of their lack of knowledge should 'istiqfara lot' ask for Allah blessing and understanding of Allah unlimited knowledge and wisdom awarded to His Ahlullah.

      Ahlul Sunnah doesn't do bid'ah. Lack of knowledge? When did Rasullah (saaws) or his (saaws) sahabah EVER do this in their lifes? Show me one proof. Stop making a fool out of yourself. There is no proof for this "running" worship of Allah (swt).

      open your heart, the secret is within it, mind you, our existence is syirk, we are just shadows of The True Existence, everyone of use is an individual universe, you just have to explore your own internal being in order to understand your non existence and find The True existence, otherwise we are living in syirk khofi, will never meet our Creator Allah, when our time come to return.
      Think with our heart, not with our brain, then we will understand Insyallah,
      Ahlulsunnah faith is a fine centre line between muktazillah mazhab and jabarriah mazhab, be very carefull, which you belong too.
      This doesn't matter what we call our selve, either sufi, or salafi, Islam can generally be categories in these three faith.
      Be very carefull my friend.

    please define what dance is. Dance is when the body sways to music, and is used mainly for mating purposes ie male attracts female etc. Here, there are no instruments, no music and certainly no women to attract. Why can't you see their love for Allah?? Is it cos you haven't got the love yourself? I have seen sufi's cry because they want to meet their Lord. Just think about that. What do you and I cry over? This world? Their souls, intentions,a nd thoughts are purer than you can ever think.

    For all those posting 'Wahhabi' comments on here ignorantly. Do some research. Some look up what imam Mohammed ibn Abdul Wahhab actually taught in his book kitaab at tawhid. I can guarantee your eyes will be opened.
    People are quick to mock Wahhabis but can accept practices which have no routes in authentic teachings of Quran and sunnah. Practices such as the one being shown in the video.
    Imam Abdul Wahhab (in a nutshell) taught to practice Islam the way the prophet sws taught the early generations of companions to practice. He also states the importance of abandoning all practices which have no route in Islam. And anything that is an innovation. Now tell me this. Who was the most strict person to not allow any misinterpretations of Islam?

    On a side point. Can you really imagine the prophet sws and his companions behaving in such a way as the people in the video? Even though the Quran clearly states how pagans clapped and shouted in their worship?
    Can you imagine our beloved calm natured prophet raising his voice in such a manner?
    The truth is, as nice (to some) as this may seem. It has no route in Islam. No supporting evidence from Quran and none from sunnah. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong using authentic evidences.

      Awais Safir Actually such gatherings are not haram and such gatherings are not that different to what the Africa Sahaba did! Song and Dance is part of fitra there is no ayat nor hadith that states gathering for Allah is haraam! Now stop this utter garbage wahabism for it itself is a bida! never mind thinking Allah in literalist terms as wahabis do Nothing can contain Allah! And Allah does not literalluy sit on seats or has legs as wahabis would tell you Audhubillah!

    • @arslanakhtar3435
      @arslanakhtar3435 8 років тому +1

      +Awais Safir Sometimes I wonder what you guys even expect on posting one liners on UA-cam videos - if not knowledge (because HUNDREDS of Sunni scholars have justified such majlis), perhaps cheap controversy ? The prophet (pbuh) was in a different spiritual state - you can't expect all to be that way. Imam Junayd (ra) said that some peoples were so overtaken by dhikr Allah that their bodies followed them in outwards expression ; he also said that the best are those who keep their body still, while their soul dance as much as here, but he didn't condemn either groups : it's just that different peoples have different sensibilities, all to be respected.
      I'm sure you never ever spoke against those who jump in front of a football, cricket, ... match like you do with those people here who want to take on the struggle to remember Allâh (swt) in a society where it keeps getting harder. At least respect that.

    • @apna20
      @apna20 8 років тому +3

      +Arslan Akhtar answer me this. Ok the prophet sws was far ahead of any of creation spiritually. But did any of the sahaba have such practices? No. Nothing exists in any of their seera's to support this. If it was a good practice they would surely have been the first to do such. But they didn't. Why? Because rasul'allah sws never did. Not one shred of evidence exists to support such innovative worship. Besides. I've seen such 'majlis's' turn in to discos with break dancing and lights. Where do you draw the line?

    • @celtislam
      @celtislam 8 років тому

      Such gatherings are not haram in fact even Sayyiduna Muhammad attended such similar gatherings performed by the African New Muslim converts, i suggest you read more try the Musnad of Imam Hambal

      Bismillah : Dancing in the Presence of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎
      Sunnah, apart from the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ and his actions also include those acts which were done in front of him while he remained silent , which indicted his tacit approval for them. Ecstatic Sufi Dancing is from the Sunna of the Holy Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ as we will shortly see.
      Hadith no. 1
      Aisha, Abu Hurayra, Anas ibn Malik and various others have reported this incident.
      Ethiopian companions of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ used to celebrate the joyous occassion of Eid each year in an African way. Everyone used to gather in the Prophet's mosque (which, by the way, is the second most sacred sanctuary in Islam) to watch them playing and dancing.
      Abu Hurayra narrates: When everyone had gathered (in the mosque), these African Sahaba began expressing their sense of Joy by performing a cultural dance with spears to the rythm of their leather Drums in the courtyard of the Masjid Nabvi (right in front of the door that led to the Prophet's compartment!)
      While the crowd cheered the demonstrating Africans, the children of Medina formed a large circle around the performers, whirling around while singing in praise of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎
      The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ stood there smiling watching them . They were rhythmically chanting something with drumbeats in their language , upon which the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ inquired, “What are they saying?” And they responded in Arabic, “Muhummadun ‘Abdun Saalihun” (Muhammad is a Righteous Servant (Of God)
      Aisha, the wife of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎, was inside her chamber at that time. She reports that amidst all this, she heard Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ call on to her "O Aisha! Come here, quick!"
      In Aisha's word's: The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ was smiling watching the play and asked me if I would like to watch it too, and I said yes.
      The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ then took Aisha into the crowd and placed her on his back to make her have a better view and she fondly remembers her cheek touching his cheek while she keenly watched the African spear dance and drumming with the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ .Aisha says "I leaned my head on his shoulder, with my cheek touching his and looked from between his ears and his shoulder"
      After some time, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ asked if I had enough and wanted to go. A'isha asked to continue watching the performance and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ consented; after some time he noticed her interest declining and asked her again whether she was satisfied, She replied in the affirmative. Aisha says 'and I was only a girl, and so you can well imagine how a girl of tender age is fond of watching the sport.'
      Anas ibn Malik narrates that shortly afterward, Umar ibn Al-Khattab entered the courtyard and on seeing Music & Dance inside the masjid, he was so incensed that he immediately picked up some pebbles and began throwing the dancers with it so as to get them to stop their dancing and drumming.
      As soon as the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ became aware of Umar’s protests he reprimanded Umar by saying to him:
      O Umar! Leave them alone, Let them enjoy entertainment and play, as I do not like to see rigidity in your faith"
      In another report most probably in deference to Umar’s intrusion, the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ felt compelled to encourage the African dancers by saying: “Carry on with your drumming and dancing, O Bani Arfida! So that the Jews and Christians may know that there is latitude in our religion”
      (Bani Arfida was the kunya - the endearing nickname with which the Africans were known among the Arabs)

    Stop dividing the Ummah! There is a story about two highly scolars of islam about their prayer one only did one takbir and the other every time did he takbir and lift his hands, after the one said to the other i almost saw you flying the other replied i tought you took of with speed. They joked about it because both ways are permissble in islam and their is no proof that this of ibadah is haram.... They just remembering Allah who are you to take that away?
