I have worked at a Bath & Body Works for six years and was one of the part time managers, so today I will be spilling the tea! When Cucumber Melon dropped 25 yrs ago, I was 13 and OBSESSED with cucumber melon, OBSESSED! I had it all- the shower gel, body spray, room spray, the flameless gel candle thingy (remember those?) And a shimmer fizz lotion ... nowadays i like to give it a sniff at every SAS, and while it doesn't appeal to me at all, at 38 - I can definitely see why i loved it so much at 13. Fruity, bright, almost candy like. My mom however, she hated it and tolerated my room, bathroom and person always smelling of it 😅
Aww I love that, thanks for sharing your Cucumber Melon memories! 🥰🍈 I suppose that would have been 1998! I still see some "vintage" Cucumber melon bottles show up on eBay once in a while and I love seeing the pictures of the bottles. Yes, I know about those weird jelly candles! I actually saw one (not BBW but a different brand) at Goodwill the other day and had a good chuckle over it!

omg this is taking me back. i wish i had all those tips for running floorsets when that task was dropped into my lap. i'm sitting here like damn i should take notes, but then i remember this was over a decade ago for me. 😂
Oh man, sorry those tips came a few years too late! 😅 That's one thing I wish we could've done is be able to talk with people from other stores and get new tips for floorset. Sometimes there is a district meeting but they were kinda repetitive/not that helpful at the time. 🤦🏼♀️

Started with bbw in September..became the TKH a few weeks later and in April I started as a key holder. This video was SO helpful for someone like me who has a lot of experience in retail but not with the company especially your insight on floorset prep! Making testers before hand seems so simple yet would save so much time day of. THANK YOU 🙏🏼

Yeah, now I'm hearing both but I haven't smelled it for myself either. I love 🍊 🍦 Twist, but think it'd be more appropriate to be more of a fruity fizzy scent given the theme of the collection! 🍹

I personally just pass along scents I don't like to others. I'd only ever do it if I purchased a broken product.
Hi Melissa! I believe for 2023 SAS there will be a Groovy collection and the collection sounds similar to the Art stuff collection. I'm hoping Groovy Watermelon will be at my local store in Canada. Apparently, it's a repackage of Watermelon Blast which I missed out on last year. It has a 60's kind of vibe. I have made up a list for myself of what to look out for SAS so I will not feel overwhelmed. I find BBW is revisiting older packaging this year just like the striped straws with the latest summer fine fragrance mists. I remember BBW had done this years ago. I feel that it would be amazing for the Christmas Traditions. I would be interested in the Art Stuff collection 😀

I still have my strawberry soda soap from the SAS sale (I got so many summer fragrances that by the time I got to the strawberry it was already fall). I’m so excited to get to the SAS this year!

My manager just left BBW after over two decades. It’s really sad but I understand the struggle.

I'm an associate who is (sadly) leaving after nearly 3 years due to having a full time job now. Anyways.
With a receipt your exchange will be even if the price on your item matches the new item. If there is a difference (say a dollar) you'll have to pay the dollar difference.
Without a receipt you MUST pay the difference between what your item rings up as and the ticket price on the new item. Meaning you may end up paying a bunch. Please please keep your receipts!! It used to not matter, but now you'll have to pay the entire difference between what your item rings and the price of the new one if you don't have a receipt!

Yes!! They definitely should! Never got the chance to smell Flowering Herbs but have heard talk and pictures and it has quite the fan base! Peach Nectar I remember, but completely forgot about that one until now! 🍑
@@MelissaC Flowering Herbs was a soft floraly scent..as many perumes as i own my husband LOVED that scent!! He always asked me what i was wearing when i wore FH. Beautiful scent and good times back in the day 💗🌸
Flowering Herbs was my absolute favorite! I have a body spray and it still smells good. I just could not part with it! I can not understand why they never bring back great scents like that, yet some of the others, few people like, we see over and over again!

22:30 still have a glitter roll on😂. They had American Girl fragrances they had hand soaps geared towards kids they also carried makeup which wasn't for kids but I remember that, and I remember they had some shampoos conditioners and detanglers. I really wish they would focus more on Bath and Body and less on house and home LOL. The detergent is totally overpriced and I don't want my clothes to smell like fresh raspberries when I'm wearing maybe Issey Miyake or Joe Malone nectarine blossom. But I would love some dryer sheets to come back that would be amazing😂

They did bring back Beach Nights last summer after it had been away for a handful of years! Would like to see a return of Raspberry Jam Donut though, too! 🍩

I can still smell Charmin Cherry and the strawberry glitter like it’s right in front of me. Those glitters were hell looking back. You roll it on and there’s a thick obvious line of glitter 😂 and it got EVERYWHERE! We thought it was so cool back then. iDK WHAT we were so glittery for. But honey we were SHINING!
I remember having a certain chapstick from back then and I wish they would bring it back. I can still remember how it smelled and felt. It was so good. It was like a jumbo lip chap and the packaging was pastel green and it was like vanilla mint and the screw to turn it up was at the top by the lid I believe. I don’t think it was at the bottom. Do you remember that? They may have had other flavors I just know I had a vanilla mint one. It was soo good.

Hmm I don't remember that chapstick specifically, but I do remember having a jumbo lip balm like how you described that was by Wet n Wild. Me, my sister, and my mom each chose a flavor. I got Watermelon, my sister got Grape, and my mom got Cherry. They lined up with the Art Stuff kids body care pretty well now that I'm looking back on it! 😅

Yes, I've been hearing about the return of Coco Shea too! It will be nice for the people who didn't get a chance to try it. I know everyone seemed to really love it when it was released the first time! My favorite was the Coconut Coco Shea and my mom's favorite was Honey!

Upon looking around, I don't think you can contact a district manager, as they don't directly deal with customer service issues. I mentioned that a dm may be interested to know that two stores that fall under their care have inconsistencies, since it is a dm's job to make sure that they are aligned. They do this based on sales reports, in store visits to all stores they are "in charge of" and from feedback. Not positive what feedback they receive and from where...perhaps reviews online or other means? Which deals were they not honoring? Do they honor those deals in another store you go to by chance?
One retired fragrance that I absolutely love is moonlight path. Everytime I wear it, people ask me, WHAT IS THAT, IT SMELLS GREAT?!!! I've been wearing if for years now.
My store has some Moonlight Path body care on 75% off right now! Did you check your store for any? 😍

I love Orange Vanilla Twist too! I heard rumors it was the same or at least very similar, but I haven't gotten a chance to go in and smell it for myself yet! 🍊 I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't actually the same because to me the notes sounded different enough to me!

Interesting, I tried to do a price adjustment today. I bought a groovy watermelon mist in store and the price went down to 75% off in store the very next day. I went in the store 2 days after that and they told me no price adjustments.
I'm behind on comments, sorry I didn't see this one sooner! Yeah that's not right, as long as you tried to do it within the 14 day after purchase window! Some employees just aren't trained well enough to know that it's an option sometimes. Usually stubbornness comes from confusion or misinformation. My main store/the store I used to work in knew what was up when I did mine, but when I tried in the town over, they had no clue what I was talking about and I had to walk them through it, and they were reluctant. 🤷♀️

A friend of mine got in trouble while she was working at bath and body works and had to sign a restitution agreement. What is that?
Hi Kristina, thanks for your question! I finished filming my Q&A footage before I got this question so I'll answer it here! I'm not 100% sure what a restitution agreement is, but my best guess is that it's a document acknowledgement of some sort that an employee must sign that pretty much says, "I understand the reason I have been written up and that I have an action plan to prevent this in the future." BBW has a "3 write ups and you're terminated" system. I think one of the reasons for doing this is so that an employer has an official documentation and can't just claim that the employee has already had their three strikes. Of course there are some behaviors that are fire-able on first offense (stealing, risking safety of self/others, etc), but I think this would be more for smaller but consistent behaviors such as breaking dress code, failing to complete expected tasks regularly, being sassy/rude/bad behavior on shift, missing shifts or coming in late, etc.

Orange Spritz doesn’t smell anything like Orange Vanilla Twist. Orange Spritz smells like an orange soda and Orange Vanilla Twist smells like creamsicle ice cream. Orange Vanilla Twist is a repackage of Snowy Citrus Swirl that came out for Christmas. Several years ago.
Yeah, now that I've gotten a chance to smell the new Orange Spritz I thought they were very different! I love both! 🍊 Although I don't remember Snowy Citrus Swirl smelling like either of them! It's been so long since I've smelled it though so I can't remember it exactly! 😅
4:25 Hilarious.. I hear some people are allowed to stack coupons when in store, there's always a person in line who's returning to candles that are halfway gone and of Spritz that's clearly been used with no receipt and she just gets a store credit and walks away. And then there's me. Standing there forever, a HANDICAPPED, newly widowed nurse/ mom w/2 teens teens .With 2 UN TOUCHED items,a receipt,& paid cash.
Easy. but, B/C employee says it was 31 days ago,not 30 days ago( b/ c they add an extra day, or count thst day🙄)-it's a big problem..
even just say, "Can we just get something else.." I'll pay the difference or whatever."
And one day here or there , cmon! people have to work people can't drive people get sick husbands die (which is what happened to me my dad died the same day .one store knows this and gives me Grace), but, my goodness!W/ BOLPUIS - the customer calls and asks to release Order,- b/c they can't get a ride , or they had an accident , or you're stuck at work, bad weather& they can't get there,- blah blah( which ,clearly nobody cares abt BBW if big emergency hap..but,)
Anyway, it's very frustrating to be standing there with unused products and a receipt and get a hard time and watch the 18 year old return to used candles and a half used fragrance spray and get a store credit. There is no consistency some stores stack the coupons some don't let you, and since I've been filled an injured and newly widowed shopping online is a whole nother ball game. I absolutely hate it. They do not package their products safely it's always broken or leaking Goose Creek candles are packed extremely well and once I saw this, I didn't realize how bad BBW shipping really was. Another issue is, I've had an order go 11 days until they canceled items in it. Thus I lost my coupon and I lost the chance of running to the store and looking for the items while they were still out there you know what I mean, I understand if the next day they have to cancel something because they ran out but it's very aggravating when you go to the store and see a bunch of items that are claiming to be not available at that store online or vice versa. Lastly, two times I have ordered something and used a reward. They have canceled that item and thus I've lost my reward. No one in customer service or at the store or on the virtual chat can seem to understand what I mean if you do a buy online pick up in store and you get there and they did not have the Wallflower that you used your reward for it just says so on the side of the bag but because you were in charge no big deal. However I used your reward to redeem that and now I'm screwed out of a reward...
Not a Karen not one of those in fact sometimes I bring them cookies or Starbucks and I even got the newly engaged girl that's been working there for 20 years, since she was a kid I got her the diamond ring sanitizer holder and the bridal sanitizer . They watched me by it , wrap it, w/ a card& the receipt -and it was such an ordeal to give her a $9 gift from their own store that she could have purchased with an employee discount, but didn't, it took the joy out of it for me ...

For those of us that have been shopping at BBW since day one with some cotton Blossom freesia, Juniper breeze, Country apple, Sweet Pea they should really listen to us or ask us for suggestions, mail us the damn coupons that they used to, and follow the suggestions that we are offering them when they asked us to do a survey. To be honest the app is nice because you earn rewards and that's about it. I wish they just gave you a $10 credit and you could use that reward towards anything you want. Instead of an item 1695 or less. I currently have about eight rewards now if I want something that's 1995 they just won't let us pay the extra $3. Yet if I want something that's $12.95 they're actually doing well on the deal. I can promise you those of us out here who won a $40 candle holder and have three rewards would gladly pay the extra $10 and they would be making money rather than grab a bunch of plugins that we don't really need or want to use a rewards towards. Know what I mean? Apologize for the run-on sentence and the talk to text. But maybe BBW is listening lol. Another thing is they have too many sense and not enough products. The trifecta of wash lotion mist is gotten really old. Currently the men's line has more choices and more colognes out deodorant facial scrub face moisturizer shaving cream I could go on and on. I mean I don't understand why when they have a men's Day Sale every single item except the cologne is a set price like $5.95. But when they have a fragrance Miss sale only the fragrance mist is on sale and the ladies sense you get no benefit really you have to buy one thing at a time my rent is over LOL I appreciate all you do and all your info. Back in the days of the survey I remember the employees would ring me up like two times if I didn't get a survey on the first one we would ring up one sanitizer and sometimes I would get a survey on the second one. That $10 coupon was the bomb lol. Why they don't send app member the coupons in the mail that ask for them I'll never know. A coupon in your wallet on your phone is just not the same thing. Sometimes I'm not with my phone maybe my daughter ran to the store for me whatever the case may be they should really keep emailing their frequent flyers, the actual flyer I noticed that they don't focus on the little fun tchotchkes anymore. There were no lanyards for the last 2 years for the kids for backpacks they're not very many cute sanitizer holders or teacher gifts nurses gifts and I really think they should listen and always have something that says happy birthday congratulations and thank you in the store or a sanitizer and a holder something like that. Everybody sells the stickers to put on top of the sanitizers to make them custom on Etsy so why doesn't Bath & Body Works just do it and they could be making a fortune on a few stickers. For example I just bought my daughter's entire cheerleading team a plain blue holder with a yellow lid Sani underneath for the school colors however if they had one that's a good luck or you were the best or something I would have bought those instead okay I know you have no control over this but I really have made some suggestions on various pages and it's ironic to see sometimes they come to fruition so the BBW old lady Community out here, is speaking on behalf of many of us over 50 moms LOL we wish you would bring back the women's deodorant the Shaving gel a little bit more teenage friendly since once in a while and some fun Halloween stuff not spooky skulls and all scary stuff LOL another collab would be great stranger things Wednesday Halloween intent love your channel thank you for all you do

Hi there, I would advise not to do this unless offered by an employee. There might have been once or twice in my six years I provided a customer a small, one-use sized dab of lotion in a cup to have someone else in their family smell it or something, but that isn't normally a service that is otherwise provided. Recently was in Ohio for work. The BBW that I visited was really difficult, they said they do not accept coupons or honor app rewards.

I hear people talking about dupes of expensive fragrances like for example baccarat rouge maybe not exact dupes but inspired by fragrances. Do you know of any we can try that might be good dupes or smell a lot like a very popular more expensive fragrance? I love my expensive fragrances but I also live in a very humid hot climate and sometimes I just rather have a light body spray. Also they got rid of a candle I loved it was in a green container and it was called cypress and woods or something like that. Do you know if they brought it back as something else? I asked the store but the girl didn’t know.

In the Stars is a really close dupe of Arianna Grande's Cloud perfume! And what's super funny is that they were released the same year and month within days or a few weeks of each other!
I trust these other comments of what people have suggested for perfume dupes. 🥰 I'm not familiar with enough higher end fragrance to be able to give recommendations but these all sound solid! Thanks friends!

Hahaha I don't blame you! I feel like it was a very specific moment for people who were ages 5-16 during the 90s-2006. I remember in my store, they didn't heavily advertise it by the time I was old enough and aware of it. By the mid 2000s, it mainly just lived in one of the cabinets in the walls in the very back of the store and then was eventually phased out so I can see how it may have been overlooked by a lot of people!

BBW! Summer should be fresh fruity and clean. I don't understand why your laundry detergents are scented like rainbow raspberry and sunshine day when you have wild flowers that are called clean linen, fresh sheets, and laundry day- but you don't have those as laundry detergent.😂! Also we are on coconut pumpkin and vanilla overload. Please Shake It Up a bit. Throw in some Citrus sounds for summer some orange and lemon and grapefruit mixes take a peek at Joe Malone's nectarine blossom, how about a fun ice cream line or Candyland scent some bubble gum some grape popsicle creamsicle ice cream sandwich kind of thing that would hit the fruity people and the fruity people at the same time lol are you ready to hire me for marketing I'm ready
Cucumber 🤢.. you blows my mind that people will buy a new fragrance Mist just because they change the label. I'm not talking like 5 years from now I'm talking like 3 weeks from now LOL either something cherry or strawberry pound cake like five times in one year. It still smells the same people😂😂.
