Great job. Very smooth. Now try one that's not over an airport. Full engine out (off). Just like the real thing. They always quit when you least expect it. Ask me how I know.

Per one time I make one autorotation in Bell G5, over level 2.800 feet over the Sea however did bê more quicly the descent, I think this airport level is more down alttitude?

What is that lever the guy pulled down and pushed back up when you landed?

I fly the Guimbal. What is the black knob handle. I assume the Red was mixture. Is the black the throttle?

    • @josephpriolo1514

The black lever is the Carburetor heat. Use it when we have low power settings to avoid carb icing.

@@josephpriolo1514 The helicopter I fly has an auto carb heat. Never flew the Bell47.

51 year helicopter and airplane pilot here. Why do you guys insist on landing on runways? You can land just about anywhere. They never looked, or made a call on unicom, for possible traffic on final.

Hey Billy the airport is Towered we had clearance for the option on the runway. Why not practice autos on a runway? Large flat surface to safely touchdown on to.

It is a safer training environment...if something goes wrong then tower can call emergency services...

@@josephpriolo1514 There we’re no calls made on the video to the tower or otherwise. You don’t need a runway to practice autos. Full down or otherwise. In Vietnam we did autos all the time without the benefit of a runway. BTW. i was a witness to a fixed wing aircraft colliding with a helicopter hovering on the runway. It’s in UA-cam.

@@billyjack3361 All calls where made to tower prior to this video clip. Just because you didn't hear it in the video doesn't mean it wasn't cleared by tower control. If its a control towered airport than the runway is clear of other traffic. I'm a trained Army Aviator too we did hundreds of touchdown autos to the various stage fields around Fort Rucker all on concrete lanes (Runways). So once again I don't understand your concern with doing Autos to a runway when its cleared by the tower with no other traffic conflicts.
